Have JR help you with that renovation. You could make the daily $1,000 trip to Lowes. See how many dumpsters you could fill up with all that siding, I saw someone on TH-cam build a whole cabin out of used pallets, that would be a great idea for siding. His wood pallet siding looked great!
I always take legs off, at least one side and can angle it as i refinidh furniture or just purpose perfectly good stuff/gift it and most modern furniture like that has simply nut and bolt hardware but i got a $4500 pottery barn dining room table couple months back, the people ecen ziploc bagged the hardware and neatly put it out for trssh and i have my designated areas i know when their night is that are nice neighborhoods and i find so much gold especially when they move or get new stuff. I ended up selling the table as is without anything done to it for $2300 a week after getting it and i was so ecstatic. I cartopped it home like my kayaks and i hsve moving blanket and endless loop ratchet straps for my kayak so i cartop all large shelves or tables if i dont have truck. I have 14 modern televisions of various quality as i always find them with signs that say they work and are free, all about 32-50 inches and ive given others away and sold some, so much glass ware and tons of decorations including valuable precious moments and hand blown glass etc. I even found trunk and pile of cases of rifles several years ago, everything from muzzle to bolt and lever and pump shotguns and 1 break. There were 7 total, just laid at the curb for trash with ammo cases and totes of old ammo. No handguns, just an old collection of long guns likely from a deceased relative and they just were clearing their stuff out. The reason i even stopped to check the huge pile was several animal mounts just tossed out and as i was loading deer mounts and fish, and some antlers etc i found a really nice buck knife with antler handle and then old fidhing tackle, then i spotted rifle bag and it had a double barrel breechloader 12g. I was soarking electricity with the feeling i found as i quickly started loading the most valuable first, and then we came back for the rest!
I used to work at a Kirkland's and this is realistic I used to throw perfectly good items away all the time just because of a little crack of some kind of defect. Brand new items that retail for hundreds of dollars.
I dumpster dive in my apt complex on foot and in my bag I always have empty bags and small tools to unscrew and disassemble stuff so I can carry it back. Lol.
You gotta start carrying tools man, it was astonishing that you didn't instantly grab a drill to remove those legs. You seem like a pretty intelligent and resourceful individual, it would do well for you to carry an assortment of tools and learn how to utilize them effectively and efficiently, who knows how much that will help you. Generally every person should carry tools with them at all times, even if just a simple multi tool, especially if you're driving around in a vehicle. There should be enough tools in your car to do basic disassembly and maintenance at all times it's in operation in the first place, most vehicles come with emergency repair kits and a jack in lieu of roadside assistance for that exact purpose. Keep doing what you do man, saving unfortunately discarded items.
Carry a 20$ electric screwdriver and a ruber mallet, most times you can take off the legs and then glue them at other moment, or sell it unmounted like if you did a favor to the buyer and then add printed instructions on the package hot to put it back together 🤔
You should carry a handy tools like screw driver or phillips or such amd you can remove those legs that are screwed and you can take that with out a problem 😊😂

My buddies brother figured out that staples would throw away all the returns of furniture for not having the hardware stuff to build it so this mofo started buying shit w his credit card open it, keep the hardware then return it then go grab it at night... he did it like 10 times on high end desks that cost about a thousand at that time.... Kid also found had a key for the harbor freight dumpster and they always threw away all the food returns too.... Kid made thousand off dumpster diving
