- Bobby Brown, known as the king of ’80s R&B, is opening up about his musical reign in the powerful new documentary ‘Biography: Bobby Brown’ and 12-episode A&E series ‘Bobby Brown: Every Little Step.’ On Tuesday, ‘Extra’s’ Carlos Greer spoke with Brown about the project, as well as losing ex-wife Whitney Houston and two children to drugs.

Meeting Bobby Brown back in the day at the height of his solo career was pure gold. He was in demand back then. His dance moves, his style of dress! Long before Chris Brown or Usher, we had Bobby Brown as a solo artist and he did not disappoint. Women fawned over this man and his security had to be beefed up to ensure his safety. He was the shyt back in the day! Love him forever. And like many fans, I too have prayed for this man. I am so happy, he is in a good place with a loving supportive wife. He deserves happiness and peace.

So that is not Bobby's fault. And just because someone is an addict does not mean they are disqualified from being strong. It takes strength to overcome addiction. And you don't know what someone went through to cause them to turn to drugs. Have some compassion, Karen. When you put yourself in God's hands amazing things happen. I'm so proud of Bobby. Addiction is awful. No one should have to go through it. And as a recovering alcoholic and addict, I've been clean 10years 5 months, it's an everyday day battle that I've learn to take one day at a time. I got sober with AA, and it saved my life. I know people think it's a little cultish, I did to at first. I was wondering what the hell they were putting in the coffee, but I soon realized everyone was there for one reason, to stop drinking and using. Many many blessings to the Brown's ✌️✌️🙏🙏

I felt that way about his wife too at first...but then I remembered that Bobby has had some strokes...and because I have family members that have had strokes...many times you have to fill in the word gaps for them... words often escape them. I noticed that Alicia touches his arm a lot...which is reassuring to him/them....those who have had strokes.❤️💔❤️

Everyone has a time for grieving. I lost my mama, my brother in December, and another brother almost 3 weeks ago. It’s been a rough year but through Jehovah God and His dear son Jesus Christ will eradicate death as Revelation 21:3,4 says. Bobby and Alicia look great and I’m glad they’re doing a documentary. Lots of love to the Brown family. 💜

This man has seen the adversities of life and still standing. He is a copy paste of determination.
All of us pre-1980 babies knew (in real time) Whitney and Bobby should've never entered a relationship, together. They were stubborn and felt they needed to prove their stability (as Whitney later admitted to Oprah, in her 2009 interview). Like many toxic relationships, Whitney didn't wanna admit, nor reveal *we* (the fans) were correct. She used cocaine and smoked weed....but after her marriage to Bobby, their drug habits and behavior worsened. Bobby's friends in New Edition expelled him from the group, for the same reasons ( *including his early drug habit* ). Now, both Whitney and her only child are gone. Both connected to Bobby Brown. *Yet, Bobby Brown is still here* .
Ladies (or gentlemen) , this isn't exclusively about Bobby. You can assume you need to sacrifice your career and reputation, in order to be a loyal, "ride or die" person; for someone else. But, ultimately: *YOU'LL* be the one dead....and the person you sacrificed everything for will continue living his/her life.
