No time is a good time for these projects, they have to get done. It takes time and space to accomplish efficiently. Will be a great improvement from what I see currently.
When WSDOT last re-paved this section of I-5 in the mid-1980s, the construction noise during night time hours was tremendous. I remember them issuing earplugs to everyone living near I-5 in the Eastlake neighborhood.
Oh good… They can mess up by five like they did 405. As a motorcyclist, immediately following the new repairs on 405 we’re extremely dangerous. Big rut and dips. There’s a reason traveler is always say Washington state has some of the worst roads in the nation.
THANK GOD they are replacing the freeway surface. We are all driving on concrete originally poured during The Eisenhower Administration!! Meanwhile has anyone seen the infrastructure in China lately? They built entire cities and we can’t even repave a freeway!!
@@lorietaylor4665amen🎉 Everyone wants to ignore the mismanagement of money in this state. Not to mention this will probably cost more and take longer than originally quoted, then in a few years they’ll be asking for more tax money from us.
When I look at country’s and other nations building great roads in under a year I have no idea why we are paying billions to company’s that always go over budget and end up taking 5+ years.

And destroy our vehicles for 30+years. It's really lacking. 😅😂
Maybe if they had used our taxes correctly instead of mismanagement it would have been done long ago.

Holy chit. Thats going to be quite the dose of GNAR! It would be just as I plan to move back.
There are some really nice stadiums in Seattle, but the roads are . Shall we discuss priorities?
Its gunna be... "flocked'
But I am glad to hear this news ultimately

The bridge was last resurfaced before I was born, and I'm in my mid-30s, so I accept the need for the repairs.
Nice and then they will close 520 bridge every other weekend making it even shittier to get around
