Bought this watch 7 months ago and the only useful thing about it is that it reads time correctly but other than that it's crap first of all the altimeter is way off i live at sea level .....well just under it I'm at -3m but the watch shows between +14 up to +80 meters 😂 or sometimes between -12 up to -30 that's the sea bottom 😂 second the compass needs daily re calibration so if you go hiking after a day ....well your lost and barometer doesn't work correctly either....so in my opinion it's a piece of crap i wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy the only thing it's useful for is telling time and date....o before i forget the light works fine to ....if it's dark enough 😂😂 and before someone tells me it needs to be calibrated......I've done it probably 30+ times already , it holds for about 24 hours and then it starts giving wrong measurements again and after 48 hours it's WAY Off again so don't bother telling me it needs calibration
@@semilut3910 well you really can't compare both because tissot is an expensive and established brand , but yeah that gavia is a piece of crap i guess the people whom are happy with it don't really bother to check if all functions have correct readout, for me it started when i noticed that altimeter was way of in comparison with my geographic level which is -3m then i started controlling other function readout like barometer and 🧭 and noticed all readouts were way off so i re-calibrated and 24 hours or so later every readout was wrong again, in the beginning i messaged the alliexpress seller but after a while he stopped answering knowing he couldn't help me and i couldn't give update review on alliexpress he probably blocked it because he knew i would give negative comments so that's why i do it on TH-cam....he can't block me here 😁
You're lucky, mine after six months doesn't even read the time correctly, the digital time is correct but the hands are messing up, this watch is rubbish
@@toctocbadaboum2431 even if you re calibrate? , digital and analog time must be set tru settings, these can be different if you battery is running low or after putting in a new battery, tutorial available on TH-cam how to calibrate the analog and digital time
@@robertdeman9644 Thank you for your help, I haven't changed my battery, I'm going to order a new one, I'll let you know if there's any change and if the needles finally work!
I would not waste a penny because if you can purchase it for $15, buy it, but not more than that. Question why... First of all, the case of the watch is heavy and the font of the watch is very bad. Software and hardware are not in sync as they say. Navigation is wordless junk. Display font type is cheap. Sorry, I paid a lot and have it, but I am disappointed. I am a diver and I do freedive as well. This is something you must not buy. If you are lost, you have a watch that doesn't know the north and west. If you dive, depth and direction verge not to be accurate. Pray to God to find your way and up on time
It looks good, but to be fair, the compass doesn’t work. In fact not a lot works, it does look good but that’s about it. Buy one of the G-Shock’s or the pro treks if you want reliability
I agree 1000%. Garbage. I have a TISSOT T-TOUCH EXPERT SOLAR, which is 1000% better. I purchased it when I had enough with garbage watches and decided to buy an expensive one, spending 1300 euros. Since then, I haven't changed the battery and it works like a clock. I have had it for maybe 6 years now, or even more
Onestamente sembra molto imprecisa la bussola... il ho un timex compass T2N721 che ha la bussola analogica ed è precisissima... come le maree, le temperature e soprattutto l'ora... e il costo è simile... anzi forse anche minore...

You 100% correct I will make a video of it. I have opend one..I have 2 of this watch .. but crap, I have buy the thissot 1853 solar 100% perfect

Ive been looking on this watch for awhile now. Is it worth buying?

Right now you can purchea them second jand for 350 to 500 euro
