Chapter Eight: Pain and Suffering
Only couple more goons to go through and Max is ready to take down Nicole Horne and end the night.
And that's Max Payne. Unfortunately, while I actually like the sequel more, at the time of writing this I can't record Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, and because I prefer to record games in their chronological order I won't even consider touching Max Payne 3 until Max Payne 2 is done.
Of course, if you're reading this years from now things might already be different and you might see Max Payne 2 from JohnnyDFox somewhere in the related videos. Let's hope so.

I'm doing a run without saves (f5), only with autosaves which occur every chapter. This is so annoying

Woden sent the project Valhalla file to the DA to put a scare on him, My theory is : Vlad may have been behind all of this he may had made a pact with Horne to eliminate punchinello using Max as a tool by getting his wife killed so that Vlad can take over the entire inner circle and monopoly of the crime.
Vlad got horne killed and in max payne 2 he got the commandos to work for him who previously worked for horne. Technically Vlad was the main mastermind.

i completed this game some minutes ago in 2021. This is a freaking MASTERPIECE. It released way back in 2001 but it is years ahead of its time. PURE GOLD

Just finished the game on the iPad , this level was a fucking pain in the ass
I played a PS2 copy of this via emulation on PC which would cause slow downs during graphically intensive parts creating some odd and surreal experiences. Also I used a Hyperkin Duke controller.

Well that was one of the more original boss fights I've seen in video games

finished it this Sunday evening, I did love this game, the atmosphere, the gameplay, the story and graphic novel scenes, it felt such like an epic
so it was Nicole Horne's voice in the funhouse of Max Payne 2? lol

3 things which literally Made Pain and suffering the hardest mission :-
1) Always falling off
2)Most of the guys are equipped with colt commando's and they do a surprise attack thus instantly killing you
3) The antenna part coz it's windy out there so ur shots may miss also It would be difficult to hit the 2 nd wire without sniper rifle
These things were only for those who played this mission for the first time

As much as i love this game i hate it at the same time. If theres ever a remaster there should be an option to just acitvate the cheats instead of having to pause and enter them and let them stay active through the whole game so we didnt have to do it every chapter, also wish tthe controls were improved ch playing this on ps2 or xbox today is nearly impossible. I couldnt get past the damn chopper lines to shoot cuz i couldnt hit the bolts 🤣

this shitty game is hard all the time, but the final chapter is so easy... I LOVED THE GAME, I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE, ONE OF THE FIRST GAMES DUBBED IN PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE. GOOD OLD MEMORIES

I think it's just the game on PC. I had a widescreen patch installed, but I don't think there was anything that affected quality.
Half the time my sniper wouldnt even smack the hurtbox of the second wire so itd run the fail cutscene -_-
Juego maravilloso, pero maldito infierno jugarlo en consola. Es dificilísimo atinarle a los enemigos ya que no hay un botón dedicado a apuntar. Me costó un sufrimiento el terminarlo.

Not really. The only thing important at that very moment is to keep running to avoid getting blown up by the thrown grenade and force Horne to move on. You're not able to actually kill her at the stairs with any weapon out so you could just as well equip the baseball bat and achieve same results, I only fired the gun for looks. Considering that stopping to aim with a sniper rifle would likely lead to getting insta-killed by the grenade, your suggestion is somewhat trolly.

I know it's late but why can't you record Max Payne 2?
The game wouldn't work properly with the recording software I used before so I waited to see if I could one day get around that problem, and now it appears I won't be uploading anything on TH-cam anymore.

At 7:20 this shot I did not get over it until now because the distance is too far and the vision is difficult, how do I zoom in on the sniper?
