I think it's important context with the Jay z and Drake comparison that when Char says that Jay put on more artists and invested into their careers like Kanye and Rihanna etc.. Jay was around the same age as Drake is now. Drake just hasn't really transitioned into that phase of his career yet. It's very likely that Drake starts stepping back from the rap game a bit and more into the CEO role in the coming years. This comparison will be more fun to look at when drake is in his 50's.

Meek is not Jay Z but at one point Meek was the only Street rapper who was Mainstream. Most of these young Street rappers look up to him. I’m a Meek fan but sometimes I do feel like people in the rap space do try to diminish his career. Like especially when Cthagod use to say the rankings for top rappers in this era, he never says Meeks name.
Especially him being in New York all these years. I know people out west don’t rock with meek the same way New York does but he has been the guy here for a decade plus now

Jay is your average person over 30’s favorite rapper. They either say Jay Z, Lil Wayne or Eminem. You’re making it sound like Jay is Jadakiss or something. Nothing he says is on another wavelength. He’s just a good rapper who makes great music. But for Jay Stans that won’t be enough. He has to be ‘on another wavelength that you just don’t understand’ to make them feel better about people turning on Jay since he revealed himself to be a snake.
