Kenny Kirkland has and always was my favorite pianist. The bassist you all know
So sad that about half of the musicians in this concert died within two years after it. Such a great ensemble of masters.
One thing is for sure: a musician dies with his boots on. Full respect for these space cowboys.

Everyone sounds great on this recording but, damn, N.H.Ø.P. could swing 3 or 4 bands, simultaneously, all by himself. These Jazz³+ concerts have such great line ups and great production value. Thanks a million for posting!

Non pareil! Some giants here, but who knew the Swedish jazz scene was so vibrant! Dude on bass I've seen/heard before - he kills me! Whisper Not has a special place in my heart ever since I'd heard Art play it on Big Blues
Niels-Henning Orsted-Pedersen, late Danish bass virtuoso who played virtually with everybody of any importance. Oscar Petersons favourite bassist.
As noted: he was Danish. Maybe that's why he had such a sweet sound!
