Thank you, this video was beneficial. The first run of print head nozzle check showed no gaps for black ink, but nothing was showing for YMC, then I ran a print head clean with the circle icon, the colours still didn't show. I immediately ran a power clean, and when I checked for the pattern, it showed up perfect. I even printed something with vibrant colours, and the colours were very vivid. Also, as a side note, my ink usage was not affected as much.
It took three power cleans to get my colors working again - they had complete stopped. At then end of it, my full colors were down by half a tank, and my 3/4 full black is down to 1/4. That's ridiculous, Epson! A year's worth of paint gone in an hour.
The print head cleaning utility should allow you to specify the color that is having a problem rather than wasting ink from all of the tanks. Perhaps you can consider adding an automatic mini-clean cycle on some interval to avoid this issue. My cyan is clogged and I've performed several power cleans with no improvement.
@@KodiCustoms Thanks for the fast reply. That may be a step I take down the road. Today I was good with two regular print head cleans. Funny enough, my color is typically very good, it’s my black that likes to plug up. I use mine to print large volumes of restaurant menus that are 95% black and 5% color.
How do I hold the control panel in its tilted up position. It is much easier to read in that position, but it will not stay up; it just falls down so that it is flat (flush with the body of the printer.)
My printer will not let me do a power clean. When I press the power & help buttons, nothing happens, when I choose the option from the display menu, it says to call Epson.
I love this printer. I have had a dozen ink jet printers from HP and I will not buy another. The ECO Tank is awesome. I just had a LOW black tank from the original fill after 22 months and I started to get prints with incomplete back results. So, after 4-5 print head cleans, I decided to put a little more ink. The added ink helped but I still may need another clean or two and or maybe try the POWER CLEAN
I had this happen, two of the colors weren't showing and I didn't even know it. I ran a few cleanings in a row and the other colors started showing up.
I like the printer for the fact that it is economical to print in color with it , however I didn't know that you could not scan onto a USB key with it. dommage!
Thanks so much for this helpful video… I read a few of the comments & followed the steps you provided & they definitely got my printer back on track!
Thank you for this video! Got my colours working again after 3 print head cleanings and a 12 hour wait.
Very well made video. It was what I needed to get my printer going again after it sat for 18 months.
Thank-You!!! This fixed my problem after 3 print head cleanings!!!!!!!

Thanks, this video was helpful. I have a question: At min 2:57, why not select Power Cleaning from the Maintenance Menu?

Did you find the fix?
Power head cleaning worked very well!
Out of curiosity, did the power clean option use a lot of ink? It seems that is what is eluded to by them stating the ink tanks need to be 1/3 full.
It does yes! But it fixed my color that wasn't working. I'm guessing it's because we quite often only use black and white. Colour got plugged up

dommage!
For power clean, I think I'm gonna get a 3000 psi gas powered pressure washer from Home Depot and wash the heck out of it.
