Great update ❤ - For anyone watching just be careful feeding leaf cutters bagged spinach and shop bought items they often contain pesticides and fungicides.
Hello! I have a question, hope you see my comment. How do you hydrate the plaster? (I think you use plaster where the fungus is) I have always wondered how to hydrate all the fungus chambers without hurt the fungus, thank you!
Man, such a nice mess. I don't wish, an am happy, not to have your problems but is so much to learn trough this. I am happy you make this videos, all the tries and errors you go trough, all the hard work and problems you have to bare. I hope in a couple of years to have the perfect, mature setups like we have with the normal nests for the normal ants. At least, most of them...:) Ty for all your content and work. Sad to see your C. nicobarensis got mites too, I hope you can cure them. Good luck and all the best.
Ahh man thank you so much for the kind words. In stead of hidden my problems and my mess I want to share it all❤️ currently the setup is quite. Well. Bad 😆 but hopefully people wait a bit before getting atta then 😅 so happy to hear you enjoy the content man. Thank you ❤️
Totally agree, It´s really fascinating to watch leaf cutter ants do their thing but I would never in a million years want to keep them since they´re just so much work :/
You could also use PTFE aka fluon as a longer lasting equivalent of baby powder and rubbing alcohol but it is toxic to birds I have heard so you can use that is you don’t own birds.
Hello I'm French; I also breed Atta mexicana, my mushroom pieces are maintained all year round from 23 to 25 ° celsius. Could you tell me what temperature you have for mushroom rooms?
If you Want That the Ants build Fungus in the plastic box, you could take a small part of fungus of another Box and place it there, Where you Want a Fungus chamber. They will Start to grow this small Part to a big Part of fungus.

Thank you! Although I still think outside leaves also can be just as bad. But that’s a personal opinion 😅

You can mix baby powder and rubbing alcohol to make a barrier so they can’t climb.

He knows
One of my dream species 🥺
What are some of the differences between atta cephalotes and atta mexicana? Can't seem to find anything on line
Atta cephalotes are bigger
Holy cow.
Others: keeping the shroom alive is hard
Him: we got so much we dont know where to put it
bc they are using the rope as support keeping it suspended
i would just give up and transform an entire room into their outworld and seal the windows and outlets lmao
6:11 the queen is right there on the bottom lol
I have a question, will they produce alates at some point?
Yeah I’m guessing so!
