- Volt is a pan-European, progressive movement that stands for a new and inclusive way of doing politics and that wants to bring real change to all European citizens. A new pan-European approach is needed to overcome current and future challenges, such as - among many others - climate change, economic inequality, migration, international conflict, terrorism, and the impact of the technological revolution on our jobs. National parties are powerless in front of these challenges, because they go beyond national borders and need to be tackled by us as Europeans, as one people. As a transnational party, we believe we can help the European people unite, create a shared vision and understanding, exchange good practices across the continent, and come up with policies together.

Me TOO. I'll VOTE VOLT PORTUGAL. I'm all for the environment, social justice & equality, anti-corruption and anti-illicit-enrichment. Thank God they appeared when CHEGA (Or EXTREME RIGHT WITH AN HIDDEN AGENDA) is gainning supporters just because they say they are fighting corruption but with a hate speach, racism, xenophobia, bigotism like Trump in America. I love EU Im 24 from Latvia. If we had to make a one big EU country I would vote for that. I am proud that we are united in every single way, we are liberal and at the same time we can stand for our own free will. EU mean better future not only for Europ but it is like example globaly that diferent coultures can live in peace and harmony. I love the fact that i can use the same money in most of EU it makes traveling much easier. I just love everything about Europian Union. But i beleve EU can work that way ony in Europian continental borders.
You would give away your country's independence, its' capacity to make its' own laws or decide its' own future for the vague notion of being "united" and the convenience of easy travel? These people are being funded by the Global Elite who care nothing about anything except for their megalomaniacal world domination project by controlling the world's currencies and (online)communications.

@@eriksraciks9003 This party is a ruse, funded by globalists. A trick to lull people into a false sense of security by thinking they will have an increased say in the EU Parliament and Commission. But this small sliver of influence that is doled out to us will be the justification our new Federal Government needs to allow it to truly consolidate power and become a Federation.
They can justify an EU President having Executive Powers by first manufacturing a supposedly organic call for an increased say in who gets to be Chairman of the EU Commission. They can then demand elections that the EU Commission then gets to design for itself.

Under current tilting of speech, 'centre-right' means a belief like the EU in bending over for multinational companies so they'll like them enough to exploit their resources still further while 'extreme-leftist' means thinking a country should own its water rail and educational organisations. :-(

I hope I'm wrong with my assumptions and Volt is really progressive movement. Just wanted to point out that I'm a little bit sceptic bc of their past.
one of the biggest issue in modern politics, people that tend to become leaders/representatives are often the ones that did good at school, and ended up having careers in often rather controversial sectors, like banking or consulting. where are the limits between both activities and careers ? it's a valid point in my opinion. doesn't change the fact Volt bring a lot of important topics to the debate, and "speaks" to a lot of potential electors.
What have you done so far? Im not being sarcastic, just curious.

I don't get why Volt should be my choice and not the Greens. Greens have established structures that might be useful to change the world. We need to force them to use it. Why build another struture called Volt?

@M.V.P. I can't tell you who because I don't know for sure, since I don't work in that area in Volt. But from what I know, in my country (Portugal) Volt has had very few donations, most of the partys money is from the members. Either by fees or gifts we give to the party. Plus we pay our own personal fees. Everytime I travelled for Volt related work I payed everything with my own money, and so did my colleagues.

I did not claim to bring aguments. I asked important questions about liberty or current problems. Who need another mainstream leftist party? As far as I can see, these "young activists" are mainly trying to secure some government jobs for themselves. There are Neonazi parties who have more criticism for the current Western Imperialism (because in their logic they don't want their racial brothers to die for foreigners, which is, in some twisted sense, correct). That says a lot about either Volt's relationship to liberty or Volt's courage to stand up against current politicians.
And EU has represent the longest period of peace in European history, in fact, the biggest enemies of European project (USA and Russia ) are mostly the guilties of Middle East wars, so, actually I don't understand why you links Muslims deaths with an pro European party as Volt
