Yeah, I thought it might be a good spot there to continue the push and I think it may have dropped a couple people. But you’re right, definitely not the best way to conserve energy
I think a few others had mentioned this too. Do you think it’s worth getting narrower bars? It hasn’t created any pain for me, but maybe I don’t know what I’m missing
Haha, yeah it was a random decision, I usually don’t do stuff like that. But I saw it was stretched out and wanted to help force the split, which dropped a good number of riders. So it whittled down the back a bit. But definitely wasted a match to do it.
@@CaedmonCycling My wife is racing her first race tomorrow, and we said it was an example of what not to do. Certainly dropped a few, perhaps dropped a few heavier sprinters!

Haha, I felt awful the first lap but then felt a lot better the second lap. It was a fun race, definitely good to be back!

Thanks! I actually felt better on the 2nd lap than the 1st. Either it slowed down or I need to start doing longer warmups haha
You need a deep self look at why we are attacking over the top of the climb, that was a match wasted (I've done worse).
