Unfortunately all the kits from Joanna Kazmierczak's batch had these issues, no matter what dealer they were purchased from. It was not an individual kit issue. I will be making a video on how to repair and work around these issues! I did one correction so far, which worked on the shine, a layer of Xodus thinning oil. I'll make a video of the entire prep process when I start the kit ❤
I feel like this is happening more and more lately which is so upsetting with how expensive the kits are becoming …. Sometimes when a kit has a small shiny spot that won’t adhere I use super fine grit sand paper to help create texture, but obviously that cannot be done to an entire limb!
It is and it's so frustrating! In the last 2 years over half of my kits have serious issues. It really takes a lot of the joy out of painting when you have to spend half of your time repairing vinyl!
I cannot believe they would even ship those out like that!!! I would return that kit!!! Kits are too expensive to settle like that!
I can't believe it either! I thought for sure if Johanna had seen all these she would have complained and had the factory make them again, it's so shocking!
Thanks for doing this video. I have received this kit and will examine it closely, so thanks for letting us know about the faults. I’m in Australia so it’ll be interesting to see if my kit from an Australian distributor is ok.
I had ordered him too, mine was super shiny and tacky. Unfortunately my head melted in the oven so I had to trash mine. Never in my 18 years of rebounding has that happened. I baked at 265 for 8 minutes. Waste of $130. I did like the kit though.

Such a shame when this happens, I have a couple different sculpts that came with deep scratch mark on the chin and floras pointer fingernail indented with a deep scratch, it’s so disappointing when they have noticeable flaws
It really is! I'm going to have to do a good check of my Flora kit now. It seems like distributors aren't doing quality control checks at all anymore!
I should be opening mine tomorrow and Ill put it on my next video. I dont know if I want to keep him or not...I love his face though. Thanks for opening on camera.
I'll keep an eye out! I'm curious if everyone's have the same exact defects.

@@ebornsreborns just seeing this now...Emily if there is any kit you do not want we would still take it back. the kits were all the same across the board. I also thought the Thinning Oil did work for taking off the shine?? I do not see any reference to that here. hUgs Brenda
Hi i got my kit out again and really checked it over . It is shiny on the limbs but no rough spots or pimples .Perhaps you and your friends kits might be bad faulty ones . Perhaps contact them to say you are sending it back and would like another one. Here in England there are some still available. Its so bad ,they aren't cheap. I was going to send mine back if very faulty. Xx
I did contact to see if I could get a replacement, but was told all the kits had the same extract issues, so I'm just going to try to repair mine. I have seen some tough only have the rough spots that turn into pin holes and shiny areas. It seems only about half of us got the weird vinyl pimple things.
Such a shame that this kit has so many issues. Can you tell me if it shares limbs with Lou Lou? Thanks?😊
It was so disappointing! They do not share limbs, the feet are similar style, the taller fat feet that Joanna sculpts, but besides that they are very different ❤
Ihave 2 kits. They both are crazy shiny but i was hoping after i prime, it shell be ok. Maybe put pore texture on first? And of course ill have to order some. I do have a little look alive left ao that might help. It is sad. I had issues with wilby being a shiny mess. I got upset and just put him away. Hopefully we can figure something out to make this work
So far I've done one layer of ghsp matte varnish and it didn't take at all on the shiny areas. I might try an air dry primer. It's so frustrating though!

They macphersons didn't reply to my emails and doesn't answer phone calls ones with kodi bear I found his head squashed from one side 😢😢 and I had make it stand properly with lots of stuffing the other care was with Rosalee kit 😢 I found black permanent marker on the front left side of her head un removable 😢 it's quite shocking 😢 !!! thanks God not her face !!! These kits are very expensive plus postage and customs 😢 !! Which company is more trusted than macphersons pls??

I'm not sure, I can't get a replacement because all of them have the same issues, it's so upsetting! I know a couple of people working on it so I think I'm going to see if they were able to fix the issues before just getting a refund.

Unfortunately I think they are all like this, after filming this I've seen several other posts from people who all have the same issue with the kit 😔
