Imagine you could only live and travel in three countries for the rest of your life. It's not as hard to imagine as one year ago, and inspired by Nomad Capitalist's "Trifecta" lifestyle, Andrew discussed how he would spend his time as a global citizen if his passport only worked in three places.
Andrew Henderson and the Nomad Capitalist team are the world's most sought-after experts on legal offshore tax strategies, investment immigration, and global citizenship. We work exclusively with seven- and eight-figure entrepreneurs and investors who want to "go where they're treated best".
    Work with Andrew: nomadcapitalis...
Andrew has started offshore companies, opened dozens of offshore bank accounts, obtained multiple second passports, and purchased real estate on four continents. He has spent the last 12 years studying and personally implementing the Nomad Capitalist lifestyle.
Our growing team of researchers, strategies, and implementers add to our ever-growing knowledge base of the best options available. In addition, we've spent years studying the behavior of hundreds of clients in order to help people get the results they want faster and with less effort.

Despite having traveled to 50 countries around the world, the US and Mexico would still be my top 2 choices even if I was no longer wanting to live in the good ole USA. For my 3rd choice, I’d probably pick another affordable country with nice people. Several SÉ Asia options sound good. Malaysia will be fine I guess.

After living many years in the US, then in Europe, then in Asia, plus long visits to Africa and Latin America, I finally made my choice of a place to spend the last years of my life.... and I chose Mexico. After almost 15 years and now in my old age, I can safely say that what I get in Mexico is a very high "quality of life". The weather, the culture, the diversity and the food are very attractive. But so are the friendly people, excellent health care, the freedom (yes, I feel oppressed every time I visit the US), the landscapes and the undeniable fact that my savings go a long way in Mexico. Many people in the US ask me if Mexico is safe... strange question coming from a country with daily mass shootings, but my answer to them is: the three times I was mugged in my life, it happened in the US.

It's just too good, really good food (and WINE!!!), really good people, really good weather, really good beaches, really safe to be around and you can still have the countryside life! But yes... We were in Mexico for a month last year and felt like that was a place we could easily return to. There's so much to offer and we agree with your sentiment that you could keep travelling back there and not run out of things to discover. As an alternative to Mexico we also loved Argentina in Latin America.

From my experience you need at least 2 years to understand if you like to really live in a place. In the beginning you're kind of a long term tourists. It's things like coping with the plumber, going to the doctor, taking the car to the garage, passing time with local friends (not aquaintances, real friends) that make you understand what a place is really like.
Also it depends on one's budget and if you have kids.
I chose to live in Greece because people there are great with children and generally Greeks are very hospitable and friendly. The nature is beautiful and you don't have to pay anything to go to the beach or take a walk in the nature. So even if you don't have much money you can still enjoy the beauty of the place. Also the weather is a plus for me. The islands usually have a lovely breeze in summer and the winters there are milder than on the mainland. The quality of the food in Greece is very good, especially fruits and vegetables are fresh and tasty. Greece is also quite safe, the crime rate is low.

I have a friend who has been in many countries that I haven't been in, and he remarked that he liked Malaysia very much. To put it in the rather simplistic way he did, he said there are three main groups of people: Chinese, Indians and Malays. He said the Chinese basically run most things, the Indians do most of the physical labor, and the Malays, knowing they have a good situation, tend to avoid causing any conflict, and enjoy the situation. If this is true, it's probably more so in the Peninsula although he had visited East Malaysia.
I recall reading a comment (although I don't recall whether it was from Malaysia or Indonesia) regarding the Muslims and attitudes toward other religions that went "this isn't the Middle East" meaning that different groups were accepted and the Muslims weren't antagonistic toward other groups, and religious terrorists/extremists weren't an issue there.
I'm a biologist, and Malaysia has a lot of plants and insects I would like to study.

All western industrialized nations are out of course! Collectivism is coming to all western industrialized nations. Disappropriation and genocide are the endgame for all western industrialized nations. Then looking strategically into the future I think that World War III is completely unavoidable and a nuclear exchange between the USA, China and possibly a lot parties more is also a given for me.
Taking all the previously said into account I will pick:
    1. Uruguay (it's Doug Casey's #1 pick so it would be mad not to follow his wisdom)
    2. Southern Brazil (All Brazil southern of Sao Paolo)
    3. Georgia
I am picking Uruguay and Southern Brazil as the most prosperous and calm places in all Latin America and that by a wide shot. This would be done with the clear intention of getting myself in the best position to avoid any bad consequences from the upcoming nuclear war between the US and china (and possibly a lot of more parties). I personally have my bets placed on 2028 for the nuclear exchange by the way.
Also, hyperinflation is coming in all currencies. It is sufficient for people to lose trust in the dollar to lose trust in all other currencies. Thus, even though the 21st century will certainly be Asia's and particularly China's century all countries will in the short to medium term experience major poverty and civil unrest. Including all that dope countries in Asia.
With that kind of situation playing out I as a white male prefer to be in a region where mostly white people form the large majority. Funnily enough Uruguay is completely Euopean, much more so than Europe. You basically just see white people and all people are of European descent. The same applies for Southern Brazil where you have some real gems like Blumenau, a German immigrant city of 300,000 people where they have an Octoberfest where you would feel like in Germany. Southern Brazil is also ethnically white.
For your reference for the Oktoberfest in Blumenau: th-cam.com/video/Hz4CSnPOe70/w-d-xo.html
And Uruguay also has the highest cow to human ratio on earth: 4 times more cows than people! I think it will be great choice to be in direct vicinity to real food whereas all western industrialized nations will force their vegan toxic sludge on people. The World Economic Forum has it in one of their agenda points that "people will eat less meat" and meat would only be an occasional treat according to them. I have no doubt that it will go down this way.
In general I would say: Go for rural areas. Avoid big cities in any place of the world.
Anyways, with the whole world bound to experience extreme poverty I think it is wise to get away from places where you are not part of the ethnic majority. People will be in rage all over the world. Thus, even Thailand and Malaysia would be out for me for this particular reason. I think people need to take into account a lot more factors when making their choices.

I am Venezuelan, being a digital nomad the past 5 years because my online bizz (not 7 figures yet haha) and i lived in Russia, Latvia, North Macedonia, and Romania in the last years for different period of times. My business is related to traveling/music/concerts business (yes, horrible 2020) so my choices would be only in Europe or Latin America. In Latin America i am with Andrew, i would chose Mexico as for me it is the best country for business in the whole continent. Easy going costumers, friendly people, big country, big market, and not an expensive country where to live. Being Venezuelan i won't choose Colombia as for me is chaotic as my country and i don't want to live in a place like this anymore, but i have to admit that Colombia is a great market for new business too, so people can try. In Europe i would choose Czech Republic. Lots of events, beautiful country, not so expensive, in the middle between West and East, good fly and bus connections, cheap beer, party people, good festivals, no refugees problem, kind of safe place, more than Western Europe. And my first choice for over all would be North Macedonia. I love Balkans, the food, the people, the easy going attitude, but Macedonia is in my top of them, most friendly people i ever met in Europe, cheap country with a brilliant future, very safe until the point that i can count with my hands the number of police officers i had see them there in 2 years, good night life, people has a bit of that crazy unworried Latin American attitude that i am used to, and even many understand Spanish because soap operas, very intelligent and creative people, so I understand Andrew when he talks about Serbia or Montenegro. Life is good in the Balkans nowadays. After this 3 choices i will add Lithuania/Latvia and Romania in Europe and Chile and Costa Rica in Latin America. Unluckily i had never been to Asia, but yes Malaysia it seems a good destination.

@MANSQUITO It depends what do you mean for total shithole and for who. Chavez destroyed the productive apparatus but this is a real weird and bizarre country, where makes money is easier than any other place if you have a good business or idea, technical profession or knowledge, even in a crisis environment. Check what is happening now after the really hard years right after Maduro took the power, with delivery guys earning more than the ones in Colombia or Argentina, and so many examples like that like i had to pay to a plumper more than in Scandinavia. Of course still a big portion of population is in a critical situation, and they will be for more time. I can say the worst years we had were between 2013 and 2018.

I reevaluate every year! ... and I am still here in Mexico. Travel in Winter in Mexico, travel to the US in Summer to visit family and the rest of the world in Spring and Fall. Do not let the sensationalist news headlines cloud your judgement. Mexico is a big country, all climates present from tropical beaches and jungles to great forests, snow capped mountains and great deserts and plains. Many ancient and modern cultures. Immigrants from all over as it was the center of the world trade for 300 years. See history of the dollar ! Rich history and many native cultures and archeological sites. Friendly people and great food. Paradise is not perfect but it is still paradise.
