Hope you all are doing great. Welcome back to our channel You Me And Travel.
In this video, you will see the beauty of the Himalayas. We traveled from Manali to Keylong via Beautiful Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel, and Sissu.
The distance between Manali and Keylong is around 71 KMs. Manali to Atal Tunnel distance is around 22 KMs.
Atal Tunnel is situated in Burwa Village - you can also stay in this village.
You can also go to Keylong via Rohtang Pass but unfortunately, Rohtang Pass was closed because of heavy snow on the road.
Manali to Sissu road condition is really good and also road condition from Manali to Keylong is awesome.
Manali to Sissu you can reach max in 2 hours. While going to Sissu from Manali you have to go from the beautiful Solang Valley. You can also stay at Solang valley.
Manali to Keylong you can reach in 3 hours or max 3.5 hours. For us, it took 5 hours to reach Keylong from Manali via Sissu as we spent a lot of time vlogging and photo shooting.
If you want to go ahead from Sissu towards Keylong then you have to pay 200 rupees at the check post.
You can also book a hotel or homestay at Sissu if you want to enjoy the snow and beautiful sound of the river. Sissu (also known as Khwaling) is a small town in the Lahaul valley of Himachal Pradesh in India. Located on the right bank of Chandra river (Chenab River).
Kyelang (or Keylong) is a town and the administrative center of the Lahaul and Spiti district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is located along the Manali-Leh Highway, about 7 km from Chandra, Bhaga, and Chenab valleys, on the banks of the Bhaga River.
Kyelang faces the famous Kardang Monastery, the largest and most important monastery in Lahaul.
You can stay at Keylong and the hotel and homestay cost is from 1000 to 2000 INR.

Yes we have been till Jispa and stayed there 1 night. Dracha we haven’t as we will covering that in our Len Ladakh trip - but it’s open now for tourists.

Hi Honey, it was not allowed when we went there for the first time..reason was black ice.
But now there is no black ice so you can go to Sissu by bike via Atal Tunnel.
Now there is no any issue a lot of people are going by bike.😇😇

Hi Aravind, You can visit to Sissu at end of February (but sometimes they close atul tunnel because of heavy snowfall). It completely depends on snowfall and the weather at that time.

Hi…Yes you can go to Keylong by scooty from Manali…our recommendation to stay 1 night at Jispa and enjoy the peaceful time near riverside..😇😇

Hi Vikram, we traveled this Saturday as well - now the temperature in the day is incredible. Try to plan as soon as possible as the snow is melting very fast…we saw huge difference in 1 week only..😇

Hi, It depends on the weather...if heavy snowfall happens then they will not allow you to go there. Usually it is closed most of the times during Feb..

Hi Parth, right now Keylong to Leh(Leh manali highway) is not open. The highway is open till Darsha or max near to zing zing bar (close to Barlachala Pass).
The highway might open in next 1-2 week (now the status is pending due to snowfall prediction between 13th April to 17th April).😇

Hi Deepakshi, This year sun is very harsh and days are very hot 🥵..we are in Ladakh and in Khardungla we got very little snow..so near Manali finding snow might be little difficult..you might get it at Rohtang Pass or at Baralacha Pass...😇

Permit required only if you want to go via Rohtang Pass (Permit to visit rohtang pass).
