In this week's video, I shared my opinion on the major changes made by the Canadian government regarding migrating to Canada. This involves the increase in proof of funds for international students from 10k CAD to 20K CAD, cap on the number of study visas to be issued, and limit to the number of PGWP andto be issued.

I wanted that Canadian dream, and did everything I should do ( at least I think I did) 😂 I was accepted for a Masters program at both the University of Regina and the University of British Columbia. I used the acceptance letter from University of Regina to apply for the study permit as this was the cheaper program and my first choice. I showed much more than what was required in my account; but alas 😢the visa wasn't granted. Thats January 2023.
Another door was opened instantly; that prior to that, I hadn't even considered. I applied for jobs in England and was successful. I used the money that I was planning to use to study for relocating to England 🇬🇧. I am now very happy that the visa was declined.
Just saying that to say to other aspirants..all may not be lost..consider other alternatives and leave it to God.
Sidenote : I have a Canadian visitor visa that expires 2028 and have been there several times as a visitor (longest visit being 3 weeks).

Im not sure about the kidney, but i, too, suffer from low blood count. What helps me are green juice, especially kale and spinach or Beet root with carrots, apple & ginger.

Me say mama!! When I saw the changes me affi say thank God me done deh ya and hubby on the last leg. It serious and honestly if me never take up myself and come I probably wouldn’t because it hard to come up with school plus all them sumn here. If you want it though. You want it and you will do what you got to do. My suggestion is to go to other provinces that are less saturated.
Yes I totally agree. It's not easy but it's very much possible with lots of work and planning.
Agreed. $20k is expensive, but so is Canada. You dont know when you'll get a job and rent is the biggest expense. Let's say you came here with $10k. Imagine not having a job for 6 months, and your rent is $1k (1 bedroom apt) per month. That's already $6k out of your $10k and food nuh buy yet🥴. I understand why the POF was increased, but doubled? Thats crazy... I could NOT have afforded that! 😢Also,
I guess more persons will be coming to Canada to study a Master's while working at Tim's, Walmart or McDonald's. That's also crazy..😢 Smh. Be encouraged guys, run come b4 more changes start 🙄🙄

I don’t have to imagine that scenario because I lived it in 2023. I paid one semester and had spending money to keep me for a few months. However Canada is very expensive, I could not get a job and my money was running out. I still had my job back home so I returned from whence I came and resumed work. I do not know if I will return to Canada because it is very hard and expensive and I really don’t feel that as someone who is over 50, the struggle is worth it for me.
