Originally came for farm reno content, got excited when Tuna first made an appearance, AND NOW a full episode of horse content! ❤ Super enjoyed. Love how shes changed temperament from such a simple lifestyle change. You're both looking great!
If you're a horsey person, you may like The Moons You tube channel.. They are a UK family who have moved to France and bought a house with lots of land. Nick used to be an Equine event rider and his wife Jenny was a groomer , together they rescue Eventing Legends who have found themselves in unfortunate circumstances... some have literally been saved from the meat trade..many of the horses are getting on in years but their welfare is paramount in giving them the best life until the end. 😊
Thanks Jess. I love this video. Lovely to see Tuna. You are doing really well with her. Polework would really help strengthen her up. It’s great seeing you both look so happy xx
This is a fun video and more of the other side of your life, cool! Looking forward to your next one and of course seeing how the farm Reno is coming along too!
You look amazing!! You’re doing most of it on your own! She looks so happy, glad to see you two are bonding again. My dream is to have a horse on my farm! You give me hope. Keep up posted!
Omg so pleased you’re barefoot!!! I’m the one that commented about that the last time as I have had a very similar experience with my boy and also have similar expectations for the outcome of being able to ride him! Mine had pedal bone fractures and various on and off lamenesses; went barefoot in March and haven’t looked back 🧡
Been following the reno and full of admiration for the undertaking of such a large project.. love a bit of horse content aswell.. i am convinced i have a lopsided riding style that causes most of my horses reactions..i probably have one leg shorter than the other... i do alot of stationary flexing of the neck and also counter arcs to try and help... keep up the good work.
Going to a super chiro has helped match my leg length, we were an inch out at the start and she’s been the only person able to mobilise my left hip to pain free at times ❤️
Lovely to see how well Tuna is going for you :) does she have a lot more turn-out at the new yard versus where she was previously? I’ve read that keeping horses as close to their original conditions as possible, in a herd barring box rest for illness/treatment when unavoidable serves the horse best mentally and physically. Maybe you can get Dan and Tuna a draft cross buddy and then Dan could go on hacks with you and Tuna :) tfs
Thank you 🙏 Tuna does have a lot more turn out up here at her current yard compared to previously. If we go out on hacks together I think Dan would prefer to be on his mountain bike for now or with one of our dogs running 🏃
@@sht-farm When we lived in very wet NW Devon I remember the advice was to wash the area very rarely, just dry it off and smother with udder cream (meant for dairy cows) as this protects and treats any infection, cheap too! Good luck!
I was wanting to see your Tuna rides. At 67 I am wonky and my guy has more trouble moving off my right leg. I find releasing my clinching left helps and lifting my ribs to help lighten on him and evening my hips. It's an infinite exploration isn't it!
Your riding is great❤, I think your horse can be very lucky to have you and no classic and often hard rider. I am a little bit confused, do you have now 10 horses at your yard? or do you share your ground with that riding center? I'm sorry, I don't get it😅
She’s not at the farm yet, it’s not horse safe at the moment. But she’s part of our family and the aim moving to the farm was to have her at home, hence the land. This yard is amazing though, super super people, amazing instructor, amazing facilities and a really wonderful set of horses ❤️

Love Tuna!
Love the Tuna update! She is such a beautiful horse. 😍 So nice to see how happy she is at the new yard!
Heart warming video, love to see Tuna’s transformation. Jess and Dan, your relationship is so lovely to watch, cheers to you both.

Beautiful horse😊
With tuna you can do some trotting poles on a circle on her stiff side, great video well done
She goes quite rigid on them at the moment, but we’re working on it ☺️

Nice change of vlog. I used to take my eldest daughter riding until I became uncool 😢😂
Maybe get a mctimoney chiropractor to take a look at her. They're absolutely amazing, so gentle.
Thank you for the tip / advice, we will have a look at this when needed 🙏🏼
Urgh I was battling mud fever all spring! I feel ya!
How did you treat if you don’t mind me asking Laura?

Tuna sushi ⛳
Not horsey and more into Dan’s work but was that several days over a week or several days over multiple weeks? Good progress even for the uninformed!,
