Id recommend threat plates as an addon. If youre in defense stance it shows all nameplates you have agro on as green and non agro as red and turns yellow if youre about to lose agro. Its great as dps too, works the opposite way as dps.
This 100%. As a dps or tank you should have it. Also use tiny threat for a threat meter as well. You can create a second details window and out damage on one. Tinythreat on the other.

Taunt: Will make you match threat with whoever is top of the threat meter(on your target) and make you a little higher on threat.. If you open with Taunt, you will only have a little bit of threat. If you wait till a DPS bursts, pulls threat and then you Taunt. You steal there top aggro and get a little more.. If Taunt resist, swap to Battle Stance and Mocking Blow, if that fails, Challenging Shout! Taunt, MB and CS can all be on a one button macro that you spam in a panic.

@ 20:39 actually not entirely true, what taunt does is: Make your threat amount vs that mob the same amount as the highest person on the threat table AND forces the mob to attack you for a couple of seconds. That means it steals the threat from an ally and you have a couple of seconds to generate more threat than them (with sunder for example which mitch forgets every 3 seconds)
Download the addon theat plates my man, very big as a tank OR a dps. the color of the nameplate over there heads will change depending if there on your or not or if someone is close to pulling tbeeat off you

I think being less scared to tank would make you a better tank. You guys could have taken that pull with no problem. There was no need to panic run. Just sometimes standing your ground even with a botched pull is your best bet. If you find out halfway into the pull it was bad, then you run, but running on the pull will always get the healer killed because they’ll have threat from healing. Just calm down a bit, and things will go smoother.

100% and tbh he was doing a fairly good job of tanking especially considering compared to Brd. Yes the pull was his fault BUT the priest 100% didn’t have to die. Could’ve ran out with them, alt f4 trick, or just not turned his Petri off so soon when the mobs Wernt that far away yet. Bad pulls happen, and he didn’t just insta petri, he made sure to help his group. I don’t blame Mitch for the death at all, just a pain response from the priest that lead to his death. If your reading this Mitch don’t feel bad!
I disagree about the 'doing it for content' part. I think he was very nervous/inexperienced about tanking and just made a bad call. He's definitely a goof, and obviously has some pretty bad ADD or ADHD but I 100% don't think any of this was done on purpose. @@xplicitmike

I believe you can Macro Heroic Strike with most abilities so with Bloodthirst or Mortal Strike at least I know for retail but in retail they need to fix more if players reach max lvl should be able to scale down to classic with World Quests, they almost make it pointless cuz items are always lower level and same with crafting should just remove gather Professions so people have to find satchels to get more so makes it more challenging rather inflation.
You need to start the pulls with enserker rage up, then swap stances. Need to learn how to stance dance in general, that’s all your missing now. When your under or around 25 rage don’t be scared to swap stances for zerker rage or whirlwind then swap back to defensive or battle.
I try to pace my dungeons off of my zerker rage and bloodlust. I use one per pull, unless it’s a boss then I’ll pop both. Depending on the mob, I’ll let one that’s off me whack my rogue or druid while I build up rage for the next pack, so I can open with 3-4 sunders (one per target) on the next pack. I also have my shift 1-4 keybinds with skull, x, moon, triangle.

Problem is Mitch has infinite Petris. So he knows he doesnt have to be SUPER careful. The problem is the players he plays with dont have the luxury of having infinite petris so he needs to be more careful for them. Either way its fucking funny, the streams are great.
please you get the option to make every mob naked and buff your own DPS let alone the dps for every other physical dpser in your group (also great threat and a cheap way to tab target get aggro) heroic strike is something you dump rage with when you got 60+ rage or your gonna be ragestarved for when bloodthirst and ww come back of cd
GJ Mitch Jones. I don't think I've seen a bigger discrepancy in PvE vs PvP skills in a player before. Good in PvP (one-trick pony RM/X comps though), and absolutely useless in anything PvE related. Both dps parsing as well as safe HC playing is absolutely F-tier.
