    Brad I’m continually impressed with the quality as well as the thoroughness of your reviews. SVS has some incredible offerings, and I was quite impressed myself with the PB3000 Pro. Keep up the great work.

    Have wanted these but due to budget, had to go with dual PB 2000 pro. Plan is to upgrade to dual PB 3000 within a year though.
    Would love to see your detailed comparison of PB 2000 Pro and PB 3000.

    Great Video. Very detailed and easy to understand. The Sub is just way too big for my room IMO. What is the smallest subwoofer what you can recommend?

    Nice, look forwards to the full review. Can you please explain how you set the subs up, even if quick intro on your miniDSP and AVR settings, i.e. the sub volume when hot calibrate, do you use DynamicEQ etc etc. Thanks!

    How important is it to have adjustable phase control on a subwoofer, or is a simple two-way 0/180 switch sufficient? Alternatively, can a miniDSP control a sub's phase?

    What EQ profile were you running on your 20 to 20'000 Hz profile - I mean did you have any house curve's applied (dirac default house curve, harman +6, harman +10, custom, etc...)
    Also, what crossover hz did you use for music and LFE for gaming & movie?

    Hey Brad
    I really enjoy your videos, also, I’m a big fan of your channel a while ago. You did a multi part series on mini DSPI followed along and you help me tremendously. Unfortunately now I need to make a tweak because my rear subwoofers are clipping and I can’t seem to get back into my mini DSP to adjust that Channel any help from you would be greatly appreciated.🤞🏻👍

    Just ordered one pb3000 after your video but in my 20 square room i have to turn pb3000 volumne till -20 to fit 75 db is this normal?

    • @HomeTheaterGamer
      @HomeTheaterGamer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That does sound about right. I have them set to -17 to hit around 78-79dB in my room. For reference, I had to set my PB2000 Pros to -14 to hit that same volume level, so the reduction of the volume control falls right in line with the increase in amplifier power on the PB3000.

    I went from a pair of ML Depth-i subs to SVS PB-3000 subs. The Depth-i’s have nowhere near enough power or “depth” to compete with the PB-3000’s. As you say, the PB-3000’s have enough power to energize the room at moderate volumes (-35dB Anthem MRX-1120 in pre-amp mode w/Monolith 5X bed layer/Outlaw 7000X Atmos) say around 58 dB avg.
    Kick that up to 85 dB and you feel things in your chest and your seat without breaking your eardrums with plenty of headroom. Feeling the diesel rev in the Fury tank battles was astonishing. It sounds as if you are already experiencing some of that out of the box. Getting them dialed in with miniDSP-2x4HD and integrated with the front end will be extremely pleasing for you I am sure.

    I use the SVS Soundpath wireless adapter for my Butt Kickers. It works great! No delay

  • @BenTan89
    @BenTan89 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    PB3000 is truly the last great absolute bang for buck sub SVS makes. Unfortunately their offerings above that has fallen below the rung, especially when significantly better subs are available at a similar price point.
    I do hope you post waterfall and spectrogram graphs for your full review of the PB3000 though. All SPL graphs doesn't always tell the full story of what's happening in the room.

  • @Squishmallows24

    I always said bass is all the same lol that was when I had $200 subwoofers. Then I bought the pb2000 and wow was I wrong lol. Tron Legacy bicycle scene is amazing

  • @pb24dagrk
    @pb24dagrk 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The hz rating is misleading because it doesn't give you the volume it's at nor the distortion and compression information. SVS likely rates it at a 75 or 85dB sweep which is easy (hence basically every subwoofer manufacturer claims below 20hz). The PB2000 Pro will run out of steam, and when you compare it when playing movies with bass managed system and house curves, that -3dB spec is meaningless.
    That's why you noticed the bass clarity differences. It's even more noticeable with movies.

    • @Ctripp2448

      No the mono 15 easily outperforms the pb3000. Svs does not have the price to performance ratio that they use to have. Much better performing subs on the market for the same and less money.
