I think it was crazy back in the late 20s what Silver Areos did back then.i think that if I remember maxed out there dyno back then. If course Gemany before WW2 .
Definitely, fair enough they got it to a 1000hp with stock internals but in the first episode Gale said they wanted to keep going until they put the crank on the floor - we wanna see it! 😂
Back in the Day one of the oldest machine shops is Harts Automotive in Cecil Ohio . They had a Flat head ford and Reinhart Chevrolet had the 292. They ran Circle track and I heard that it was very exciting.
Guys from all over the country would have work done. I talked to a guy that used to drive form New York with Harley parts strapped to his bike. Of course this was probably 65 years ago on all of this
Yeah talking about Studebaker‘s takes me back a long ways my childhood my granddad used to sell them in Brawley California it’s a Studebaker dealership I believe the place is called Ballard‘s maybe not a long time ago my mom used to have a 59 golden hawk that’s a nice car anyway like your podcast interesting to listen to I have a question you wouldn’t happen to have any old parts laying around for the old Chevrolet 6.5 P 400 series engine I bought a new engine back in 2017 from the factory in Franklin Ohio to put in my 1997C 3500 pick up four-door long bed I would like to put an intercooler on it because you know Chevrolet did not put one on those trucks and I’m tired of looking at 200+ degree temperature going into the intake Plenum I’d like to cool it down need your help in the P 400 is not your normal 6.5L as you know I have the big exhaust from the turbo all the way out the back and a cold air system S&B just need a little help you’re the man that knows it all also curious my uncle John Hass used to be a highway patrolman up in that area used to live in Downey years ago moved to Whittier used to have a machine shop in his garage as well built parts for steam locomotives scale models the big stuff your dad might nine anyway I like what you’re doing I’m kind of a speed freak myself I like going fast I have a Zo6 Corvette 2008 myself as well as well as a 1960 Oldsmobile 98 holiday special that car runs fantastic hope to hear from you bye for now
