Were the details of this tree shared at the venue ? like how old is it, was it collected from the wild or grown from a seed, how long has been in a pot etc. ? Thanks for replying.
Really powerful tree. The source material looked amazing too. The line of the trunk and the branch ramification makes it seem like the tree was grown specifically for this purpose. What would be the age of such a tree and at what time would human intervention start in shaping material like this? Also, does anybody know why they hammer in chop sticks on the right side? Is it to help set the new angle for the tree?
What do you base that on? I am aware that a lot of material for demos is yamadori, but this tree looks by far too perfect in its trunkline and branch structure to be yamadori...

Sorry; I have a critical eye... I don't like leaving "saw cuts" on my trees, especially "four" of them; like the "three" on the main jin, and the "one" right in your face on the long arm to the left. VERY BASIC The tree actually looked sick, and not as healthy by the time they were done with it.
@@Paddy.1981 Bonsai is an art you have to try to understand that; Kunio Kobayashi as well as other professionals attend their trees first to give them the best state of health to then work them and return to give them the best state of health, a bonsai artist is more concerned about the health of his trees than the millions of people who criticize this activity but they do nothing for the true trees that are in danger in the world because of deforestation.
