Justin, quit using chicken wire and start using 1/2" hardware cloth. Chicken wire is mostly to hold the chickens in. Hardware cloth keeps everything else from getting in. Good luck with the new flock!
7:12 a fix for the hole around the tree could be to take a piece of plywood, cut a hole in it the size of the tree, then cut that piece in two halves. Then place those halves around the tree on top of the coop (make sure to put the plywood on the outside of the coop, so that nothing can push it down to get in), and take a 2x4 and screw it into the two plywood pieces, so that they are joined into one around the tree, then drill the plywood into the top of the coop.
Justin, chicken wire won't keep predators out. Just keeps chickens in. Racoons can chew through it no problem. Flair even had the same problem. Call and ask him. If I'm right I'll just accept some googan baits. Jk, shoot I'd rather just fish with you for a bit. I'm in Texas not far from ya.. but for real... Get something thicker. Really small paneling is probably your best bet. Your daughter did awesome with the chickens. Bet your a proud dad
I know it sucks to hear, but chicken wire won't keep predators out. Coons can easily rip a hole in it.. found that out the hard way lol. Ya need hardware cloth, it's welded instead of twisted together
Oh I just loved this so much. It is great to see the whole family together again. And the new chickens are awesome. Emmie is so good with them still. I'm glad she has her pets back. She is great with them. And wow baby Ben is so big now and all over his amazing big sister. Beautiful, Beautiful Family. Please have more videos with all of you together.... They are Priceless!!! 💜💜💜
That chicken with the bare neck is a turken! The good ole turkey chicken mix I head they are very friendly and lay bigger eggs than the regular chickens is gonna be great to see an update when they do start laying!
Think i mentioned it back when you added the top. You could thread(weave) paracord through the chicken wire all the way around the edge of the opening in a complete circle and then pull it tight and tie it off. Then all you have to do is re-cinch it twice a year so it can expand
Time for a donkey enclosure around the chicken coup. Then you can also build a donkey trolley for your kids to rid in. Congratulations on your new flock
Love it! Happy you have chickens again. Missing the family channel. Was awesome to see your children they are getting big so fast. Emmy was awesome grabbing the chickens was fun to see how fearless she was with them.
I've got some family friends that have a few dozen chickens and their favorite thing to feed their chickens is Spaghetti. They say it's the funniest show that you'll ever see
Ben has gotten so big and now he's very mobile, he will be trying to get into everything ❗ Keep a good eye on him, I had to get an oak leaf out of my daughters throat and another time a small piece of plastic was scary❗😲😓👍✌️🤟🤘
Loved the vid! Fyi your supposed to fill the bottom of the chiminea with sand up to a few inches from the opening it absorbs the heat and keeps the clay from exploding I found out the hard way!!! Again loved the vid
Based on the little I saw of them but I'm pretty sure the black one and the white one with the red on its wings are roosters just because there tails are long and pointy, hens have rounded tail feathers. Another way to tell if they are male's is if they have a greenish tint to the tail. Hope this was helpful.
Hey guys I just love when you do a family vlog, haven't seen in a while, so glad this notification popped up, thank you for sharing til next time bye 👍🙏❤️😎
No fear in Emmy. She really is growing up. Seems like she will be tall and athletic. I even detected a little southern drawl when she said “ I am putting my hat on”.
Please use hardware wire on top of Rackley Roost- - Raccoons and a whole host of other varmints can and will break through “chicken wire “ Congratulations on getting some motherclucklers back in the coop.👌👍
I think they are all mix breed. I love cream legbar ,Easter egger, ameraucana Wyandotte and Rhode island reds. Good luck with them my dogs ki.lle.d all my 20 hens. Get a cream legbar rooster 😉
If you ever want to geek out on chicken knowledge, check out P. Allen Smith's Moss Mountain Farm channel. We went to his "Chicken Chat" on Saturday and had a ball! He only does it twice a year and talks about his Heritage breed program. It was fascinating and I'm not even a chicken farmer.
Gotta spin that swing around in circles until your ready to vomit and the girl will yell for more spinning. I had two little brothers who loved it when I spun them around. My dad had an old bar stool that he use the seat from for ours.
To tell the gender on chickens If you look at their back feathers, for the roosters their back feathers will be sharp and for the hens it will be round

Morning to you friend.
It’s so awesome that Emmy is so into the chickens & just picks them right up with no fear or hesitation! She’s so big & mature now!

Emmy is a great chicken catcher. You have a fine looking family. God bless.
Love it and watching your kids grow up is fun.. my kids all grown so seeing that makes happy enjoy while it last!

You can use bailing wire instead so it cant be chewed through. But it could cause serious damage to the tree if not maintained
Good luck with the new flock! My wife and I use the same pop and go for our two littles!
OMG. OSG you got my favorite meal. Thank you for sharing. LFG Great video.
my entire FAVORITE part of this ENTIRE video was "I'm gonna put my hat on!"
Time for a donkey enclosure around the chicken coup. Then you can also build a donkey trolley for your kids to rid in. Congratulations on your new flock

We have one of those play areas thing that's very similar to yours. We love ours for sure!!!
Based on the little I saw of them but I'm pretty sure the black one and the white one with the red on its wings are roosters just because there tails are long and pointy, hens have rounded tail feathers. we want more BOW action dude!! Lets GOOOO
Super Dope Episode Sir Rackley!! Glad you guys decided to start another Flock. With a Frosty Adult Beverage…🍻Cheers Brother 👊🏼😎🤙🏼
Does the chicken wire keep snakes out? I’ve had to put up 1/4x1/4 mesh on my run/coop.
No fear in Emmy. She really is growing up. Seems like she will be tall and athletic. I even detected a little southern drawl when she said “ I am putting my hat on”.

Chicken catch clean cook 🤣
Rooster catch clean and cook ❗😁😋
I would have to agree with you on the rooster. It looks like a cinnamon Queen rooster.
I think they are all mix breed. I love cream legbar ,Easter egger, ameraucana Wyandotte and Rhode island reds. Good luck with them my dogs ki.lle.d all my 20 hens. Get a cream legbar rooster 😉
Delaware and Wyandottes are good for winter laying
Got your fresh eggs back
Love the vlog, are you not worried about the chimnea catching the above deck alight?.
Glad to see you and the Family got some more chickens. Enjoy that rooster he's going to be a Dandy LOL 🐓 🙌💯

I love you lake fork guy sorry I haven’t been around glad to see your doing well!!
Chirds are birpin!!
Your little boy Ben looks sooo much like our 8th month old, River Chase
That hen sure has a great big "O" dirt dragger....could be a Rooster??
Loved the video.
At least two roosters. Big black and white w/brown. I could be wrong though. The tail feathers usually don't lie
Gotta spin that swing around in circles until your ready to vomit and the girl will yell for more spinning. I had two little brothers who loved it when I spun them around.
My dad had an old bar stool that he use the seat from for ours.
Loved it.
having kids in 2022 is so much easier than it was in 2001! :) YES MEals with LFG!!!
What a good mom💪🤠👍🇺🇸
LFG, please take notice to the tail feathers of the chickens. You have a few roosters in the flock.
Hey I know your wife has her dessert cookbook does she also have a wild game or just regular recipe book? Y’all meals always look and sound so good
Congratz on the new chickens! and I hope you don't have a male in there lol
Was just wondering if the tow of you were going to post anything on the Lake Life Family channel??

Great video
Chicken train, running all day, can't get on, can't get off, Chicken train taking the chickens away!
BAD NEWS LFG!!! looks like you have bout 5 roosters and maybe the naked neck might be a pullet but effy still! Pennie is a rooster!!
calling all predators, Rackley's have fresh treats...
Great video.. 👍
What’s up just got chickens yesterday
Are they still frozen?
Dang Emmy's a pro a picking chickens up lol
Let it Dangle!
Looks like you have a couple of roosters
The one with the long tail is probably a rooster
To tell the gender on chickens
If you look at their back feathers, for the roosters their back feathers will be sharp and for the hens it will be round
You should have posted this video on the Lake Life Family channel
Seriously the swing next to big ass rocks on the ground...... .come on that's a no bueno.
I officially sang along
I see a future FFA member in Miss Emmy.
You have at least 4 roosters for sure
It appears you have several roosters.
Yard needs a zipline...that's an adventurous girl!!
Some dog proof traps would rid the area of coons and possums.. Ebay is where I got mine
LFG I miss these videos. You will get more views and subscribers by just dropping normal videos. You are my unknown brother from Texas.
The one white chicken is definitely a rooster
I thought you could tell hens from roosters by holding them upside down by their legs. The ones that pull themselves up are the roosters.
Add 4 Peking ducks!
super messy, super loud, require water, pick on chickens, but are delicious
bout time
Get yourself a guard dog
❤
Emmie hasn't lost Her touch🐦.
The naked neck takes a bit of getting used to, but there are uglier than yours😱.
ENJOY!
JO JO IN VT 💕😄
When you old and married, but still want to hang with the chicks. 😉
We miss lake life family
♡
Please let that be the next video brother night hunt or Steak-Out
That’s genius container wife and kids and go fishing now
Isn't the crowing what gets the attention of predators, otherwise the predator has to be really close or in the yard to know you have chicken's
In honor of DuckDuck you should name the rooster CockCock 😏
