IMO, this is pretty close to the best cover 'Like a Version' has ever produced. It's the epitome of what it means to cover a song; you pay tribute to the original artist and you make it your own style in the process. I mean, imagine being a mainstream EDM artist and thinking, "You know what? I reckon we can cover an iconic track of the 90s grunge era from the band that basically defined the genre". Bravo, Hermitude.
What I like about this is that it’s not exact replica of the original song, it feels like a different rendition which is something that doesn’t happen to a lot of covers nowadays. Production was sick

That riff/beat from Heart Shaped box is fantastic. It's amazing how well it translate to nearly every instrument. I've seen it played with Guitar/Bass/Violin and synth and it's alway good.

I really need to hear more from her. 2) I'm usually pretty "conservative" when it comes to covering Nirvana tracks, but this is something else. Impressive. 3) This needs to be given an official release so it can take over the world. 4) Has Dave Grohl seen/heard this?
This is a great cover... You could see at the end how relieved the singer was when it was over - she must have been nervous, anyone covering a Nirvana song is going to be scrutinised. But top marks, this was actually really good. Oh and the drummer rockin his PJ's absolutely killed it... 🤜🤛
I still prefer the original but I appreciate the modern spin they took on it. They made it their own which is really reassuring to hear. They didn’t just spit out an exact repeat of Nirvana, they kinda took it out of the grunge realm and into something more new wave and poppy. It was really refreshing

The live dance/remix style drumming really adds an extra energy or cool factor way beyond what traditional DJ style drum loops can achieve. The vocals are amazing the way the dynamic builds in intensity while maintaining precision. The combination of their individual unique styles played together is what really made this cool. Bravo to everyone involved in performance and post production.
The Jaguar-Hermitude combo, surprisingly, served up a top shelf like-a-version on this one. I will have to listen to this one a few more times. Well done guys!

I was really curious to see where you went with this- and I like the direction you took it. The synth patches were really hip- you just made me want to work harder on the sound design course I'm enrolled in (thanks! I needed some motivation to push me through some wicked jet lag) and the drum and the vocal sound was fantastic- I hope you guys bought the live engineer a few beers after this. I'm glad one of my Aussie mates turned me on to you guys, and I'm also glad to hear Jaguar Jonze for the first time. I love seeing someone just sounding great on a simple mic setup without loads of processing beyond EQ and reverb. I'm going to check out JJ's spotify playlist now that I've heard a few songs to see where he ears live. Nice work all around.

I almost turned it off after 30 seconds. So glad I stuck around. It really grew on me. Really builds. Love the drumming.
