It feels like the bar for getting a champion you want to build even in the beginning has been raised a lot since the referral/promo codes give you some solid champs that will make most dungeon teams, and also with Alice as a free login champ. Perhaps you will be stuck on spider progression, but as long as you can keep up with the missions, it's not as big a deal because event dungeon will drop (better) accessories.

Yes, can be a bit countered long term, but short term luck will make or break the progress
