I think you should take your “what people are wearing” around the world and make it into a series. Similar to the PBS series Samantha Brown’s Places to Love. She travels to different cities and explore the culture, food and people.
Great idea ! Karen has all the necessary experience and passion for such a role.
I would watch that channel!❤
I would watch that channel. ❤
@@barbiec4312 me too! I think it would be great because there is the style component and it's also heartwarming because a lot of times people have stories about the clothing they are wearing.
I totally agree!
Karen, I’ve thought you would be great at TV for many years now. You have a great dry sense of humor, are relatable, and teach people how to find their own sense of style. When you are good and Edutainment (teaching and entertainment) this is an excellent combination for the styling / fashion arena on television. I can’t wait to see how you’ll continue to grow.
❤I agree
It is not the first time❣️
She was on Tamron Hall 4 years ago giving fashion advice then too!
I agree, too. I love her genuine way of speaking on faishon and sense of style! 🥰
@@ginkodragon I'm aware
Karen I gotta say this again...your old co-workers who laughed at your styles years ago when you arrived to work are just in awe now. 🎉🌹🌺🌼💃🏾
I wish there was a tv show where people were given a make over but in a sustainable way ie using things from their closet and vintage and preloved clothes that would be amazing !!!!
You were brilliant! Honestly, you need a TV presence yourself. You would make an incredible host. Natural and compelling. Congratulations!
I WISH we had a once per month segment, featuring things like, dressing your identity. Also how to style and repurposing creatively.
I miss shows like What Not to Wear. I could see you doing a more modern version where it’s less about a makeover and more about helping people find their personal style.
Street Style should be more prevalent to see on TV. I think you will be great! I've followed you for a long time and you have a natural ability to present style in a real human way based on personality. So proud of you Karen!
Karen you were awesome on TV! You are authentic and knowledgeable which allows you to be comfortable and confident!!!!!
🌻I'm so happy for you Karen, you're simply the best! This is only the beginning, so much more to come🤗
I think what’s missing is like a “What Are People Wearing” show, with you as the host/interviewer, of course, that also involves how people grew up and how it impacted their creative power/freedom later on. I think mixing the city murals in too that also tell a story just as you already do but in a more in-depth large scale.
Karen you have that skills and talent to do this, simply because it comes so natural for you. I've never seen anyone come up with ideas how to present fashion they way you do. You have the skills and talent so might as well use it.
TV Show Ideas: 1) I've always loved CNN's "Style with Elsa Klensch" (which aired from 1980 -2001) and sometimes I watch old episodes on TH-cam. That's a space you could easily fill. The show was a great commentary on style & fashion, designers & models and trends & inspiration around the world. We just need an of-the-moment version. 2) On another note: "What Everyone is Wearing in New York, Paris and Milan" would certainly be a hit too. What you've already created in that space has given us thoughtful perspectives and authentically human connections that are poetic, intriguing and quite enjoyable. I would love to see your creativity with "What Everyone is Wearing" produced on a grander scale. All the best!
Loved that show watched it as a kid while l was supposed doing house chores on Saturday. 😊🤩
TV is dying. They need you way more than you need them but congrats, it’s a moment getting recognized by other platforms and peers. Take a bow in that tailcoat! You made it! 👏 💃
Karen, you held your own with those women. You were confident and people love you. You have something to share and people want to know. I'm (and we all are) SO proud of you. No matter where you go, be sure to keep who you are...the one we all love.
I believe the void you are speaking of is exactly what you are currently doing on TH-cam. I would love to see a show that took the audience into fashion shows, shows the latest trends, thrifting, and the what are they wearing in NY, (or any city) segment. I would watch and I think you would be perfect.❤
Karen you were so natural on the tv show- you have put a ton of work into learning your craft in fashion and styling - you were great because you know what you’re talking about ! You have the perfect personality for presenting- good luck in this new aspect of your career ❤
I was a TV watcher, but you made me like TH-cam. Your TH-cam videos are more entertaining than most television. You are a modern star 🤩
Agree. 👍🙂
I haven't watched any TV for about 4 years as there was nothing of interest on there for me. TH-cam is my TV as I follow people I like and that interest me.
You were great Karen a natural. Love your honesty and sense of humor.❤❤❤
Your street style interviews as a tv segment done your way would be dope! Your definitely a natural ❤
I loved Gok's style of shows from years ago. He had the engagement, relatability, humour with his viewers that you also have. I think you'd rock a revamped version with your style and flair x
Hello dear Karen, so happy to see you on today show! You’re a hard working woman and deserve all the good things that is happening to you. Blessings!
You were really great on Today and your calm & bright energy came through. But I agree Today is a bit formulaic/predictable with their fashion segments but being on there gets you added publicity and visibility so that is a plus. Have followed your channel for years and your passion for fashion, art, culture, travel, effortless style and hard work over the years have created these opportunities (GO you!!!) and with the kind support of your hubby you are a fab team and more will come!!. I agree with many people on here that your own series on Netflix or another streaming platform based on your YT channel would suit you where you could have more creative control. The music and editing is always cinematic on your content so doing a project that reflects your cool image and personality is important. I would watch a show based on your "what people are wearing" series or vintage related finds in different cities, then you could incorporate fav. places to shop, eat and even interview other known or emerging fashion people or designers who love vintage? Or what about a vintage related reality show where you are host and it is a competition for stylist duos to put together outfits all vintage and there could be teams from USA, France, Italy, London, Japan, Australia etc. So excited to see what else is on your chess board. You get what you put out there so keep creating and saying yes to these awesome opportunities. Congratulations lovely!!! A long comment lol but my publicist mind got excited for you so wanted to contribute!!! xx
Hi Karen! Congrats on the Today Show!!! The most creative and unique thing about your channel ( besides your fabulous fashions and home decor😄) is the What everyone is Wearing segments. I could absolutely see you doing 📺, but in short snips. TV is MISSING people and subject matter that are NOT cliche. Your creative EYE for color cut and shape is fresh, and ALWAYS out of the box. TV is boring for being so formulaic. Purse string holders are always looking for a “formula” and you are none of that.
Karen, you deserve to have your own tv show. Seriously! Maybe Bravo, Hulu or NBC! Maybe start off on New York Live on NBC!
Hell yeah! 💯
Hi Karen, I have been following you since the What People In New York are wearing series. What initially excited me about what you were doing was your ability to capture a slice of life that people outside of New York don’t get to see, helped along with your innate curiosity about people, the questions you asked and the way you engage people in general. I agree that what we see on tv and in media generally is not a depiction of the lives of most women, and even though you are now moving more into the world of mainstream media and high fashion, you remain true to yourself and in doing so, you remind us all of the value of being your authentic self. My comment to you with regard to what you might do next is simply to ‘take the next right step’- for you. It should have great heart and meaning at its core. Know too that whatever path you take, you will be challenged and the whole process will evolve along with you. Talk about the journey, share the people, places and things that excite you, and why. Whatever is there on your chessboard will be the next right step in your evolution and will no doubt impact the unfolding and evolution of the collective in a positive way. All the best- Cheryl in Vancouver, BC. Canada❤
Congratulations. You were awesome on the Today Show!!!!
I loved every second of it. CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 I can see you with your own tv segment. I think what’s missing is authenticity. Not everyone wants to look like a housewife. We need a lot more diversity. Black women in particular are vastly underrepresented.
You need your own talk show! 🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍👍
I'm loving this Karen!😆😁🌟💫⭐️✨🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶🤜🤛💯🥂🍾☝️🎉🎉🎉
The Urban Revivo waistcoat would be an amazing asset to any wardrobe! 😊❤ So proud of you Karen!😉💯🫶🏾
You are so authentic in your content and love that you stay true with what you love to wear! Your energy is infectious and the camera loves you. Think what drew me into your videos is your street fashion segments. I know it takes a long time, but I think those segments are so magical and you just know how to bring so much light to fashion.
What an accomplishment. So glad Michael was with you. You are growing .
I just watched this whole video plus the one you linked on the Today show.....you are a natural! You really deserve your own show!! Obviously in the fashion realm!!!! Whatever that may be!! It'll manifest itself!!! 👏👏👏
That’s exactly the feeling I get for you Karen, that the super wonderful stuff is yet to come
Makes complete sense! That’s how I feel on my career. I call it divine assignment, divine order. I’ve never really pursued opportunities. They come and I step up to meet them. I’m in charge of a really big project that could be a statewide initiative. I’m not nervous because I’ve been led here and prepared for this. I also started my styling LLC. I know I’m meant for more. I’m just listening and letting it unfold. CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🍾
Eeeeeeek!! Amazing Karen!!❤ I agree about the morning shows. You need your own show!! I’d love more info on the fashion industry.
Your gifts will make way for you❤
You were a natural! They need you back! 🌟🤎
Not a pawn, but the Queen on a chessboard. Queens move anywhere they want on the board❤embrace it.
this
A huge congratulations to you Karen, those of us who have been following you since the “ Where did U get” days always knew that you are in class of your own when it comes to fashion😊
I commented on your Instagram as well about how well-suited you are for television. You would be awesome hosting a show like What Not to Wear, where you style people who are in a style rut. That was such a great show in the early 2000s and I know that you could bring a completely new spin to it.
I thought the same thing, too! I learned a lot about fit + proportion from those shows then and learn fashion tips from Ms. Karen now.
So excited for you! I don’t watch tv for fashion or style content tbh. I agree, it’s something that’s missing and has potential but I love your YT channel and I know I can come here for lifestyle, travel, fashion, relationship content
Ooooooo, I wish there was a vintage shopping fashion series! Highlighting fashion, influencers etc
How about a show called Essentials where you showcase new basics/essentials every week? Styled on different body-types!
You are a star! What's missing is your eye for fashion in many different versions! What everyone is wearing in NYC would be the best segment on a show. Or let that be the show. People want to see fashion they can wear in action! On real ppl. We all love various esthetics but I hear ppl in stores looking at outfits and say where d am I gonna wear that. What an old way of thinking. You don't need an occasion to wear.... that dress, etc. you show things in the wild and we love it! Also being an amazing cinematographer helps! ❤ u so much!! Trailblazer!!
I love how you are branching out and reinventing yourself! There were a few pieces that if I were a smaller person, would be mine! One day, someone like yourself will develop a clothes for bigger women.
Hi Karen, I saw that you were on the today show I couldn’t believe it of all the days I missed it. I had a doctors appointment but I’m watching it now. Love the clothes you presented the dungarees skirts and vest. Oh I had to get it and you know I am 71 years old and I love fashion and it is beautiful pieces. Thank you so much I think you’ll be great on TV anything you do you’re such a smart young lady
You were totally in your element on the Today Show. Public speaking is not the jive for a lot of people.
Your TV presence is possible! Follow your heart, explore and many congrats and love.
Karen this was a very special video. I saw the segment and was extremely excited for you. I agree you are a natural. You belong on television and I think it would be a show where you are who you are on TH-cam. Without changing a thing, you and Michael are interesting and genuine enough I fee to hold an audience. You could do exactly what you do here. Shopping, styling and sharing how to experience the joy of fashion. Special episodes would feature your travels, like upstate and to the various fashion weeks. It wouldn't hurt to approach agents to check options of NetFlix and Hulu. Good luck and know that wherever you land we'll be watching.
Karen you would be Awesome on TV!!❤ and a segment on the Today show would be perfect it’s one of my best shows to watch!!!😊❤
Karen you are a natural on camera the sky is the limit!!! ❤
Bravo Karen👏🏾 Excited to watch your TODAY show segment in the link below. Better late tha never😊
I love your sense of style and your passion for clothes. I am 73 and reinventing myself. You are inspiring. Keep going. Follow your spirit amazing.
Absolutely Karen!! We need you on TV even if it's on a Streaming Smart TV network app or Cable TV. Congrats and Cheers! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Karen, you were great. You're a natural. Its like you do it everyday 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💖
What I think is missing is you. Im a scientist and I looked to you and Carolyn Gray for that quirky, down to earth relatable way you approach fashion. Its highend and affordable. It just makes sense and every now and then a splurge. Thank you for opening yourself up to those of us that too scared to do what you guys do. Thank you for always keeping fly.❤❤❤❤❤
You were so good. You deserve your own segment
I loveeeeeee seeing you on TV, in-studio 🎉 you’re a natural and you know what works and how to help others elevate their style.
In terms of what’s missing I feel like the lack of knowledge of the industry and the history of fashion. Whether it be trends or seeing how things came into existence. That’s what’s missing!
You’d be perfect for tv! I think the thing missing from fashion tv is dressing real bodies and the everyday girl having her fashion moments.
Congrats on your morning show debut! You totally belong on tv giving people fashion ideas. You are a natural.
Look at you Queen!!❤
Tv/morning shows need more AUTHENTIC fashion people, like yourself, and not wanna-be influencers or self proclaimed stylist who poses no innate style or true understanding of fashion. Someone like you on daytime TV is refreshing and satisfying, particularly for those that do recognize actual style.
I think that you’re a natural when it comes to speaking to your audience.
What’s missing is
An in-depth “What Are People Wearing” show that involves their childhood and what now empowers their creative freedom. You as host interviewer of course and also the murals in the city they live to compliment and tell a story of their own.
There is one like that… ‘style like u’
But another would be great!
@@danicap9565 Not familiar with that. Sounds interesting. Is it streaming? Or on cable?
How fun to be on the show. You looked great and so natural, charming.
Side note: every gal should own a pair of sparkle shoes. I always feel so happy whenever I wear mine! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Host of new version of What not to wear a la Trinny and Susannah
Totally agree about television. I rarely watch and usually stream YT videos now. I miss RZ project!!
You would make a great “STREET STYLE” Correspondent--You should see if you can develop your “STREET STYLE” videos as SEASONAL features for regular television!!!
Watched you for years and always found you so relatable, down to earth and so so very stylish. So happy for you Karen, keep inspiring us all. I see you doing whatever you put your mind to 🥰❤️x
That’s sooo awesome Karen congrats You could have your own show. Don’t let anyone change you or use you. You are one of a kind beautiful 🦋
Karen, I have watched you from the beginning on TH-cam and it’s just amazing to see you skyrocket, I think because you have stayed true to your style and it’s unique and cool and you really help us to understand how to style things… That is what I think is missing… I personally wish there were more metamorphosis shows, like before and after shows… Where you could take somebody who really doesn’t understand their style and help them shop and style them and give them a really good understanding of what their style is or at least try to. I think your strength is just your uniqueness and that you are very true to your style and just who you are! I do believe that God has a plan for our lives and he is a good heavenly father and he is good… You are going from strength to strength, and I could 1000% see you with your own show… you’ve been doing this for years and you have been killing it! God bless you in all that you’re doing!
I think your What There Wearing is transferable to television easily. So many of the people you stop are fascinating. In depth conversation with them would be amazing.
I am so proud of you! You were natural and did a wonderful job! Keep going...we are rooting for you.
So happy for you. You've been diligent, great at what you do and just a natural people-person. Truly inspiring, Miss Karen.
Hello Karen. You are doing TV already in my mind. You are doing things in your own way and in your amazing style.... Not to mention your street style cinematography and your connection with people. You are a natural I am kinda scared that they will take away your uniqueness. Have your own TV station. You, Michael and lots of Paula🎉🎉🎉🎉. ❤️🇹🇹💃🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You have worked hard and deserve all the success that has come to you. You are a natural with people as we have witnessed in your "What people are wearing in NY" series. I miss those vlogs and wish you could fit them into your busy schedule. Best of everything to you.
I think it’s wonderful that everyone gets to enjoy what we enjoy on all the social media platforms. Good you! 🎉❤
Congratulations Karen
Your energy is really good for live tv. You are concise, to the point, fresh, and super encouraging. I agree that live fashion segments are way too short and boring. I think new styling concepts would be fun to explore and pushing the boundary of what the woman at home likes to wear would be so fun
I can definitely see you on tv. You could certainly do segments on finding and styling thrifted clothing.
If I did i wouldn't want to be pigeon holed into thrift.
Congratulations Karen. I'm very proud of you😊
I used to watch Fashion Police with Joan Rivers years ago. It wasn't the same after Joan Rivers passed. However, there are so many talented, savvy and humorous personalities on TH-cam now, I would love to see that show revived with a revolving panel of fashion content creators.
Karen you are fantastic and I think you would be great for TV. You are what's missing, your edginess and unique look you got everything that we need now. All your ideas are on point. Love you all the best to the future.
Congrats Karen!!!!! You need a show…
God bless you! It has been such a blessing and a pleasure watching you grow ❤❤🙌🏽🥹
That denim skirt is 🔥🔥🔥
A fashion show of some kind would be fun, maybe something weekly would be fun. Or a daily segment on a show and have a different theme per day. Having different segments with commentary on trends and how to achieve with high and low budgets, makeover type segment to help people with styling for different purposes (eg new mom, recent graduate, etc), red carpet coverage and street fashion of course.
you are a natural talent (big brain, big charm, big discipline) who has spent years learning about making high quality content. editing, music, lighting... you know it all. and i hope you get absolutely massive.
You’re timeless and chic. An ageless light that continues to shine through all my wardrobe pieces that I choose.
I used to love watching What not to Wear. I can see you on tv doing fashion segments. That would be great!
Same. In fact I still miss my Friday nights with Stacey & Clinton on WNTW.🥹
I tuned into the Today show & let it run in the background whilst working and you never came on. It wasn’t until the next day your segment popped up on my TH-cam feed! And I loved it! It was great, fun and enjoyable to watch. So happy for you! 🎉🙌🏽😊Jacqueline.
It's been a long time coming but I am not surprised to see where you are today. It's awesome, amazing, and JUST THE BEGINNING!! Keep moving forward Karen, we love to see it!
I think we need to bring back “The Clothes Show” or “The Tube” which were UK programmes that aired early evening. It was great to see designers discussing the latest fashion trends, music & covered hair & beauty too. There are far too many cookery programmes everywhere & would great to have more diverse programmes.
I can ABSOLUTELY see you on TV. It seems like a natural progression for you. As far as what is missing on the TV landscape fashion related. I love the idea someone mentioned in the comments about bringing your “What people are wearing” series around the world. You do such a beautiful job with that, it is inspiring. I also think that there isn’t enough fashion related content on TV for those “average” every day people who love it but don’t necessarily have access to it. Sort of like an “All-Access Pass” to the fashion world. Covering all Fashion weeks around the world, beyond NY, Milan, and Paris. Interviews with interesting up and coming creatives and content creators. There’s really so many ways where you can take this. And I think YOU would be perfect. ❤❤❤
I'm tearing up right now! I've watched you for years pounding the pavement in New York! Love your videos! So happy for you! OOOOh, I absolutely LOVE that beige jacket in 2:53 into the video!!! I would live in that!!! Beautiful piece. Congratulations!!!!
Congratulations on your Today Show appearance! I loved it. As for being a regular, I think your Entrepreneurial Spirit CANNOT be stifled by Corporate Politics. One off shows would be great but I think you already know YOU NEED TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF YOUR BRAND. God bless you and much future success. 🙏🙏🙏💗💖💓
Omg , why why am i about to cry? Watching Karen and Micheal at The Today show just brought back the memory of me watching their " How we met video" . Ive always loved their story its just so unusual and beautiful. Yes because it all worked out. But seeing their growth as individuals and a married couple is so inspiring. I found KarenBritChick way before the house renovation, Micheal use to never be on camera just little glimpses here and there. To see them now on a national tv program doing what she loves just makes my heart melt. This woman gets happy about clothes the way parents get happy about seeing their child achieve a mildstone. Its beautiful and funny to see! Congratulations Karen. And to you Micheal ! Bravo Bravo Encore Encore ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Congratulations, Karen!!! So happy for You!! You deserve this notoriety and everything great!!!
Congrats on being featured on The Today Show! I like your "What Everyone is Wearing." I think a cool show would be if you had a travel/fashion show where you went around the world and visited stylish people and toured their closets, talked about style. You could also highlight points of interest in the place where you are filming (each season could be a new location)--best restaurants, shopping, thrifting along with your own style as well as the guests. Just a thought❤
