6:28 Hasbro's carbonized and hologram figures beg to differ 🤣. The Black Series more than any other line fills what very little shelf space there is with tons of clunkers. But anyways, I still totally get what you meant. I've been pretty much a completionist with this line, going back to those initial seven Mattel figures....but I _"chose poorly"_ when it came to not picking up Ghost Jaga. I've never been one for gimmick figures, and even though this look definitely encapulates how they looked primarily through the show, I felt living Jaga was just fine. It'd be cool to have it just to put the belt on the regular one, and actually have them holding one of their two unique swords...not just another Sword of Omens. Really sucks they didn't give us one of those with the initial release, or double down with both with this one.
I kinda like the new figures as the sculpts are not reused in any way shape or form like the earlier figs. Ghost Jaga is cool but with the reused parts, it's like same old same old
I have no attachment to either the toy line or Thundercats but I always watch your videos because it is just cool to see how they pulled off the translation to physical toys.
Wait…Rat’s Eyes. Rat’s Eyes, Rats Eyes, Rat Sais😳🤣😂😅😅😂🤣😂😅😅😂🤣🤣😅😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Sweet merciful crap, that’s really clever wordplay! They even LOOK a little bit like actual Sai too! Actually, now I’m curious what would happen if Ratar-o were ever to fight Splinter🤔…or maybe RAPH!🤩
Let you no that is not a Grenade that comes with snarf it's candy fruit just letting you now from a fan of 1980s thundercats and toys and my favorite action figure is lion-o
Yeah, I definitely concur with not liking how they portrayed Snarf in the reboot. It's the same as Cringer not being able to talk in the reboot either. Definitely more tragic with Snarf, since he's the third most iconic character from the show...and they turned him into a useless Pokémon character.
Not trying to be an instigator or anything, but I'm wondering why you said Willa hasn't aged well? I'd think a tribe of strong (independent from men...which I don't know the inner workings of that) Amazonian women would be in line with the current agenda/mindset. So not like I'm trying to turn this into something political, just curious on why you think a tribe of warrior women doesn't hold up now. With the actual figure, my big gripe is the lack of a stern/angry head, and cleavage area, or lack thereof. One reviewer suggested that they're possibly wearing a shirt, but that's definitely not the case, like indicated from the show and artwork on the back. I just don't get the anatomically incorrect uni-boob look. Hasbro's known for this (not always), but I don't think they've ever gone to this extreme before. But yeah, it's got nothing to do with being a little weirdo that gets off to the female form in plastic, it just has to do with staying true to the source material, or simply staying true to biological reality. So that whole area just looks so incredibly weird and confusing lol. Regardless, I'm still glad to have a Willa in the collection.
With Willa, I meant more her accent and dialogue choices. She ends up being written into that old "tribal woman only knows to fight" trope in a lot of episodes. There's a lot of great episodes with her tho that don't lean into that stereotype which is nice. I think the concept behind the characters are great and would love to see her and her tribe brought into the newer media like the Dynamite comic.
@@Soundout12 Oh okay, I get what you mean now. I've been trying to rewatch the entire show, which is the first time doing that since it aired. I'm almost done with season 1, and surprised to see how many times Willa makes an appearance. Even my buddy who has a stronger memory to those shows than me, when I showed him the figure, he said that was clearly a character that came out in the later seasons after he stopped watching lol. I'm definitely not a fan of the voice either. I mean it's the lady that does Cheetara, but it's like she's trying to do a Catherine Hepburn impersonation. It's just not fitting with the look/aspect of the character. Like you mentioned, so much potential for that character to develop in a unique way, but they just chose the standard trope.
@@Chalor. For sure! Glad you’re rewatch the show, I’ve found it’s storytelling holds up better than other shows of it’s era. I like that the recurring characters remember what happened episode to episode and have their own mini-arcs to go on

Thank you!! I’m so glad to hear I’ve made videos that you enjoy even without attachment to the property
