Thank you so much for this video! I think quite a few of us learned so much about how much water and paint we should be using! I can't wait to try this!
OMG! I've been so frustrated with transparency. Full disclosure, I was using mixed media paper. I received my 140lb hot press (prefer that to cold) paper and I tried transparency again several days in a row. I was so frustrated. This is why I put watercolor down almost 20 years ago and stuck with acrylic and oil. I even did better with watercolor pencils. THEN, I found this video. ALL of my previous problems (not just transparency) have been solved. In every case, I was using too much water on my pallet rather than leaving it in my brush. Thank you SO MUCH! That ONE lesson made all of the difference.
Thankyou Emma for the layering techniques, I love hummingbirds and thought your technique would take everything to a new nature level. I appreciate you and your imagination. Hugs thankyou.
I have been watching videos about creating transparent flowers lately and am so pleased about your new tutorial. You have the best teaching style! You give clear, well paced instructions and are always so encouraging. Great job Emma.
This is a fun practice to revisit, it’s been a few years since I’ve done this- I’m going to paint some transparent flowers in my sketchbook today- so pretty & fun. Thanks Emma!
Thanks for this video! This layering technique is by far my favorite for watercolor. I just love how versatile you can be with mixing your own colors and seeing what new and interesting colors appear when you're done. ❤❤❤❤
Hi Emma, this tutorial was so interesting and fun! Yes, water control is so important and as a beginner we tend to put too much water or paint. Thank you. Helene
Hi Emma would you be kind enough to list the names of your Shinhan watercolors in the palette you’re using in this video please. I’m listed in your highest Patreon membership under Carla Roldos. I bought an 18 well empty half pan palette to fill it with the 36 Shinhan watercolor premium set I purchased from them. Happy painting and warmest regards
Emma I love this video I can see myself doing cards. Could you tell me what's a good tape? I tried different tapes from amazon but they all bleed and when I remove the tape the paint is everywhere ..........help please

Hello Emma. Thank you for all that you do to make watercolor doable for us. Can you suggest a good light for my desk area please. Thank you again 😊
Thank you! I’m not sure about lighting. I have studio lights because I film. But natural light is always best if you have access to it.
So beautiful and delicate, love it 😍 Thank you for your awesome tutorials 🙏

Hi Emma can you list the Shinhan colors you have on this palette you’re using for this tutorial please. Thanks ever so much
@@CarlaRoldos yes I'll add it to the description in the video :)
This was very helpful, thank you! Can you tell me the name of the blue covered by the loop handle of your paper clip? I really like it.
I think it’s blue pale from Shinhan
Can u paint a doggie kind of realistic?
I am struggling with this technique...and with painting a wet loose styled butterfly, or any butterfly.
Emma I love this video I can see myself doing cards. Could you tell me what's a good tape? I tried different tapes from amazon but they all bleed and when I remove the tape the paint is everywhere ..........help please

@@EmmaLefebvre thanks I appreciate it. also what was the name of the clip you use? I forgot
@@debbieableartandfashion it’s just a rose gold binder clip from amazon
