Just a hint: Don't wear your headlamp on your head, but wear it around your neck. You can adjust the light so that it's on your hands as you work but you can turn and talk to someone without blinding them.
Just reel with the circle hooks. You can hook shrimp under the horn but not through the brain. They’ll stay alive longer. Also stringing the trout up through the bottom lip will keep them alive / fresh on the stringer. Through the gills kills them and then you have a dead soggy fish to cook.
hey skipper bro, just recently got addicted into fishing, as a newbie i search alot here in youtube and i find yours more very distinct when it comes to tutorial and your fishing vlogs are entertaining makes me wanna try new stuff in fishing. im from Dubai, would love to see you go global and to try your products!
Hey Guys! Where are you in Florida in this video? I'll be down in Sebastian in a couple weeks. From 10/21 - 10/28. If you are in the area, we should meet up and do some fishing! Great vids! Tight lines!
😎👍🏼🙏🏼 Try cooking it on grill with mango ginger wrap it in tin foil. And have heard avocado is also good. I have it tried it yet. You make miss Florida so bad. 👍🏼😎
HEY SKIPPERS PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON HOW YOU PROFESSIONAL MAINTAIN A SHIMANO STELLA. YOU HAVE STELLA SW, 14', 19' FL, TWIN POWERS. HOW DO YOU OIL? WHERE DO YOU OIL? PLEASE DO A TUTORIAL VIDEO ON HOW TO MAINTAIN HIGH END REELS BEFORE SENDING THEM BACK TO SHIMANO AT THE END OF THE SEASON. PLEASE SOS SOS SOS!
I wish I could do shrimping here in Nova Scotia. I don’t think I’m allowed to recreationally. I don’t agree with companies being able to commercially fish for species that I myself am not allowed to go and harvest from the same waters. Nature belongs to all of us, not the corporations. Besides it’s much less harmful and more sustainable for me to harvest my own from where I live.
You should get some adhesive tape measures that people can stick on their poles/rods. Would make life easier rather than trying to mess around with the usual ones. I'm sure you could get them printed and people would buy them
@@HeySkipper What I do is paint contrasting marks on my rods at 12" apart, or whatever distance you want, depending on the prevalence of the fish you need to measure.
You can cook for me anytime. I make really good fish dishes with many recipes but your steamed speckled trout looks amazing. I used to order steamed flounder at an excellent Chinese restaurant when I lived in Los Angeles but here in South Carolina, I have not found authentic Chinese food.

Looks like 1 pool noodle and 1 mesh laundry bag.
Being from Florida, all I can think about as I see those fish on stringer dangling behind is Shark shark shark lol.
Glad you are all safe from Ian. We see gertrude is slaying fish and saying bye felicia 🤣 Great video as always.

I will try to make a cook book soon!
Definitely trying shrimp that way. If I can eat and enjoy it without taking shells off, sign me up.
Thats how I love to see fish prepared, always think the fish is wasted when it's fillayed
It’s the most efficient way to eat the fish!
Filleted
