Actually, Ash Greninja wasn't for the X/Y games but was a mystery gift in the Sun and Moon games (I think), probably because pokemon Z was scrapped so they just put there instead like the Zygarde collecting
Personally I feel like it would be cool to have you first make a greninja best buddy and then you obtain battle bond energy or battle energy by battling in raids, pvp, and pve to charge up this energy. There could also be an item so you only get to choose one greninja to do this phenomena with
I think it will come under the name of the bond phenomenon in PoGo. We have to participate in raids to collect some type of energy. Will be registered in the mega dex, just like the primals. And may require some special element like a meteorite to get a signature move.
My prediction is kinda going off of everyone’s combined guesses: I think Ash-Greninja will come during the Kalos Tour in a few years via a special research (probably a masterwork research like how shiny jirachi was added) and the tasks will be something like “best buddy a Greninja” and other things relating to the greninja, all being told by Ash, not prof. Willow. I’m guessing it will be paywalled, tho because… Niantic

Greninja single handedly brought my passion back for pokemon during xy/xyz days and it is my favorite pokemon of all time. I would really want to have an Ash-greninja in go but having the shiny rn satisfy me for some reason.
Megas also don’t exist in modern games :/ I think because ash greninja is so popular and is very similar to a mega I have no doubt it will come to the game at some point

Well here's what might be likely: Ash Greninja isn't removed, since ash let it stay in kalos and technically since they aren't together anymore, and most importantly hasn't fought any significant battle since then is the reason why it isn't in the anime. Speaking of games, obviously like mega evolution it's from X and Y series so it's only available in those games and later in ultra sun and moon where you receive a letter from Ash about sending a greninja with battle bond ability. How I see it being implemented is: Best buddy it, then you won't require any energy but you need to win certain number of fights to bond evolve it for some time. So, pokemon's history doesn't speak about removing something, they just make it region or games exclusive, Ash Greninja ended with X and Y series, but it isn't removed we never even had any official statement about the removal (and also it's shiny locked so you would probably be able to only bond evolve non shiny versions). Infact one more fact is that Volcarona is being treated as a legend or mythical like in black and white games when you can actually encounter it like a legendary but we didn't see that happening in go, so we might be able to get a shiny ash Greninja.
Glad you covered this in its own video. I'm getting tired of hearing about unreleased pokemon in almost every guide video for an event that affects the meta. It's almost customary to mention how the new/buffed pokemon rank, and how they fall short of mega mewtwo, ash greninja etc. Just feels like a waste of time to hear over and over. Are the game files/stats of these unreleased pokemon actually datamined from the apk for a while now or is there mention always just speculation? Would be nice to see Ash appear for an event similar to how Jessie and James did.
I watched all of the animes and XY was by far my favourite and that being said Greninja is also my favorite pokemon so him saying it's overated REALLY hurt 💔💔💔💔 Also about Greninja and Zygarde, in the anime Greninja had to leave asz due to its strange power of being able to sense some kind of dangerous energy that was left behind after Lysanders failed attempt of trying to create what he called a 'new world'. He basically tried to kill all humans alive through a machine that was powered by zygarde cells. ( And thats the story in short )😅😅😅😅

What would also be interesting is how long the battle bond ability would last, maybe as long as Primal Kyogre/Groudon or maybe even longer, but I do agree with the heart system it does make sense I think 450 or 500 would work, that should be a feature with Greninja, possibly Lucario too because Ash not only connects with Infernape, Greninja, and Sceptile, but also Lucario... But just Greninja makes sense because it is a visible and spiritual bond between them. I also see it the Battle Phenomenon as a special research story, it could be 6 pages, like catch a certain amount of water types or what ever, but if they are going to release it during a tour (Kalos) it could be a couple of years, or they could release it with a special Zygarde Event or Mega Diancie event. Idk let me know what you think.

In main series you have to KO something to get battle bond - so maybe once you throw 1 charge move in GO it turns into ash greninja & Out at the end of the battle
@ Possibly, but also another thing that came to mind would be the max cp after the battle bond is activated, my guess, since it is relevant in pvp, would be 6500 (maxed out, hundo, etc.) Or it could be higher, maybe higher than kyogre or groudon. Actually it could be a feature during battle where you can activate it mid battle and it not only gives greninja most if it's health back and gives it the cp boost, but that could be very much nerfed, but it could be an idea.
I think it will come to pokemon go but you'll have to complete research to get candies for it but the Greninja u want to bond phenomenon must be best buddies
My sister achieved her shiny shadow pokemon come from Team Go Rocket and it makes me feel impressive when my sister got lucky pokemon during the day in the afternoon.
Best Buddy + Battle Requirements + It takes on colors / appearance based on your avatar items; making it exclusive for everyone (potentially). The 'hair' that he has would be your hair color and the red color could correlate to what color is most present on your avatar. E.g. wearing the Rayquaza set would make the hair color green. You can form change it or change the colors with candy after you've changed your outfit. But highkey, I think it shouldn't be added. It is overrated and too complicated. Hopefully if they do release it, its not just to appease players by releasing the basic version of it, and just taking up space.

TBH I think it could be another cool pokemon to grind. like zygarde (although that one is a little extreme). It's nice for something trainers to have something to work towards!
The problem is that it got retconned out of existence in the anime. The flashbacks to that saga show Greninja as a regular one instead of the special form, so not even the anime kept it as canon.
Thanks for the educational video for Ash Greninja! I didn’t watch the anime series on this phenomenon either so it definitely helped fill in the gaps. The main question I have, is why didn’t this bond/phenomenon happen first with Pikachu? It’s a well known fact that Ash’s bond with Pikachu is strong right? I don’t know, maybe I’m missing something but it is something that will bother me until I find out lol
ASH-GRENINJA connection to Zygarde is that at the end of the anime Zygarde had to clean up the evil vines for team flare (the villains of XY series) and some how Ash-Greninja and Ash could see the vines before they surfaced so the Zygards requested ASH-GRENINJA to assist destroying the vines. ASH-GRENINJA is seen in the Journuries anime still working but it still has a connection to Ash

I think a bond system could be implemented in order to make it transform similar to best buddy system but working a bit different to where you can do very little with greninja per day but is sped up if started as a froakie and building into a greninja

Goh from the Journeys anime series appeared in GO (through photobombs) at the same time as Jessie and James did in the shiny Celebi special research! So, Ash appearing in Pokémon GO is definitely a possibility at this point.
The Max Friendship boosting the pokemon CP could be Pokemon Go's version of Battle Bond. They could build on the feature where the more you battle with your Best Buddy the more that CP Boost can go without necessarily brining the new design such as Ash's Greninja... Let's not forget that the anime series replicated Ash's relationship with Greninja with another pokemon that had its moment recently in Pokémon Go: Lucario. Battle Bond could potentially be a big key element to promote League Battles where its effects would be most resounding
Warning, I’ll be writing a lot about Greninja: Ash-Greninja was released in the Pokémon Sun and Moon Special Demo Version and when you first boot up the demo it’s highly implied that Ash gave you the Greninja. Since the OT of said Greninja is Ash after all. Also, towards the end of the Totem Mimikyu trial in Gen 7, you end up cornering the Mimikyu inside of a closet and if you look around the closet, you can find a picture of Ash and his Pikachu. Which could suggest that Ash also exists in the video game side of Pokémon 7:11, in the anime. One of Ash’s companions Bonnie, stumbles upon a Zygarde Core and befriends it. Bonnie nicknaming this Zygarde Core “Squishy”. Of course towards the end of the series. To stop Lysandre’s plan, Squishy and another Zygarde Core call upon the Cells of the Kalos region to make Zygarde Complete and the next scene Bonnie straight up commands Complete Zygarde to use Core Enforcer which straight up obliterates Lysandre and presumably killing him in the process. In one of the final episodes of the series, Ash releases his Greninja to continue to protect the Kalos region from the monster that Lysandre created. Since Zygarde is the protector of the ecosystem after all. The weird thing is that when we reunite with Ash’s Greninja in Pokémon Journeys episode 108. Ash’s Greninja doesn’t have the “Ash-Greninja” form anymore. I’m assuming that Ash’s Greninja didn’t need the form anymore since he got a whole lot more powerful after the Kalos series ended. Well this is just from what I remember watching the XY series. I might not remember everything exactly but this is the gist of what I remember
Ash-Greninja will be like Armored Mewtwo yoinks ago. No more any special treatment since Niantic would take time to code it, considering all the worse things in the game so far. Ash-Gre is like AM. 1.) Gender-locked 2.) Shiny-locked 3.) Probably have varied moveset
I think Ash Greninja wont come to Pokémon GO but if it did, i think a good way to release it is by using souvenirs because they have no use and also buddys should be a big part in this event, and i think you should be able to complete a research to get "Bonding Energy" which of course unlocks Ash Greninja, Also, instead of Ash Greninja being called Ash Greninja, i think it would be a very good idea to name the Greninja after you. Like for example "PokéDaxi's Greninja". Also walking with your Greninja would earn Bonding Energy after you completed the research. I feel like they should do the same thing that they did with Mega Rayquaza, where you would have to make your Pokémon learn a specific move. Maybe like "Bonding Water Blast". And the way to get this move is by getting 50 hearts with your buddy as greninja to get a "True Friend Badge" The Bonding Evolution would last for 6 hours instead of 8, because how OP it is lol. Thats all i have to say about how i want Ash Greninja to release!
I have always liked the idea that if Ash-Greninja came to Pokémon Go, we’d need to Best Buddy any Greninja to give us the ability to transform it. Not sure if this is still a thing but if I recall correctly, Ash-Greninja was shiny locked in the main series games. Or there was at least no way to get a shiny Greninja with the battle bond ability. So if I had to guess, we’ll either get Ash-Greninja (shiny locked) from elite raids, or we’ll get it from some special research where it is also shiny locked. I’d like to think the former just because it’ll probably be some sort of “mega evolution” mechanic to turn it into Ash Greninja and you’ll need to collect energy.
Ash greninja has been in the code for a while now, cday wouldve been the best time to release it but i hope they release it soon. As a main series game player and a very big fan of greninja i think we will. One, pokemon go doesn’t follow main series games. And two we have alot of unique pokemon that aren’t even in the main series games so i think pokemon go will release everything that wasn’t part of main series games like more unique pokemon and possibly even shiny locked pokemon which i think ash greninja will be one of them depending on how they do it. Plus people can say ash greninja was removed from sv yes thats true but we also haven’t had megas in main series games since sun and moon as well as greninja so we’ll definitely get it at some point in time.
The anime itself is trying to act like it never existed, by showing scenes it was in but in the regular greninja form. Battle bond in S/V just gives it a stat boost. We're not getting it lol
Special research where the last task requires you to gain best buddy status with a Greninja. That will award you with the energy to transform it. From there you can only gain more energy by walking with greninja as your buddy (like megas) which simulates strengthening your bond with it (getting more hearts even though you are already maxed).
I doubt Niantic would release it through the buddy system. It can be released the same way as a mega, it might just need a special move like Rayquaza. No way Niantic would miss out on mega raid money, and Ash Greninja would definitely be something people would pay to get. Its deiniftely coming though, its been in the code since 2021 lol. I remember back then people were wondering how the primals and 100% Zygarde would come (both in the same update back then) and look where we are now.
It’s referred to as “Bond Evolution” and maybe it would require best buddy or something, and could even be included with other Pokémon. I think Ash Greninja would be the first though.

Zygarde asked Greninja to save kalos from dark energy and say goodbye to Ash. The team flare had left wounds in kalos and Greninja was the only one that could see and track the energy to stop it from spreading
I could see it being something called "perfect buddy". Ibstead kf hearts, you already have to be best buddy then complete some chqllenges eg. Walk 100KM together, deal 10k damage in battles together,walk 100 routes together. Something stupid liekt hat where u rly have to geind for it. Also maybe its a move in battle. You would have to use a move, then it would upgrade, deal more damage or something
if we keep a new pokemon as ur buddy we need to get all 4 hearts to make it our best buddy. So for greninga i think we can have another extra heart and when we complete that heart our bond grows with greninga and u can turn it into ash greninga.Or to turn it into ash greninga we get the change form option but we need to win battles a 100 or 200 times or get 100 hearts.That's how i think we can get,or the point of releasing zygarde was for ash greninga i think.
Twice, in the anime and in sun and moon. Unfortunately you can’t add him to pokemon home either, he pretty much has been discontinued except in the merchandising. By the looks of things, it’s not coming. They could possibly add a skin like how they do the pikachus and other mons. He can’t be a mega. And if they start implementing megas with every starter pokemon, then I would say ash greninja COULD POTENTIALLY be a thing. It’s too early to say for sure if he ever will or will not be a thing. And after the froakie CD, it appears unlikely for the remainder of this year. Honestly they should be fixing up routes right now. I know they have different teams for different parts of the game to work on, ash greninja should have been a thing during this past CD if they were gonna do it. There are 2 other ways I can see them introducing it. That would be through a sort of mega raid, or if they ever get around to mega evolving the other Gen 6 starters they would probably include ash greninja in that line-up.
The reason why Ash’s Greninja is tied to zygarde is because Ash’s Greninja can sense traces of team flares evil zygarde but the good zygarde (Squishy) cannot therefore Ash has to say goodbye to his Greninja so it can help zygarde destroy the remains of team flare’s evil zygarde. Hope that helps😁
I can get Ash Greninja in Sun or Moon by playing the demo and then send the pokemon to the main game when the demo reach a sertain point. You can then transfer Ash Greninja to Pokemon Bank and then to Pokemon Home.
You maybe right we don't have ash in any of the games, but we didn't have Jessie or James Physically in pokemon go, which I was really hoping for when we got "Team Go Rocket" heck I was even hoping for Butch and Cassidy! But for a short time in the special research task we got Jessie and James. So if they were to implement Ash Grananja the Special research would be nice during the Kalos tour; with Ash being the one on how to really bond with froakie into Grenanja. Maybe with that event we can get an outfit that Ash wore in the kalos region.
Honestly I think Ash Greninja will be introduced. The way I imagine it would be introduced is in the Kalos Tour. You’ll need to get the best buddy ribbon and make your best buddy greninja your buddy (like how the best buddy boost works) and only when it is as your buddy it can be used as Ash Greninja from. No energy or anything I don’t believe. I imagine it will only be allowed in PvE and Raids but not PvP. That’s my very detailed prediction as to how it’d work.
Ash sent greninja away somewhere in the anime and we get it in sun and moon because of that send off. You didn't need any friendship with it. It just had a different ability to transform though now that thing doesn't exist if you transfer it forward enough
I think that you need to get full buddy levels and then you have to get energry from greninja getting gifts for you you can either get 200 - 300 and you need 1000 energy
I REALLY Want ash greninja because I got a best buddy, hundo froakie, evoloved it on com day for hydro canon and then got a 98% Lucky Shiny Froakie the same day and Im about to start friending it up, So I think it would be really fun if we got Ash Greninja and Usefull for me because of all the grens I got
It's already in the PoGo gamemaster so 100% it will be released at some point. But we got Primal Kyogre this spring and soon raids again so Niantic probably didn't want us to focus on Ash Greninja instead at the moment.
i guess that if it come it would be conected to best buddy and maby to obtain some spacial numbers of hearts from traveling new feature - routs - there are already zygarde cells conected to it why not greninja as well ? after all ash greninja stay at kalos to help zygarde to combat aginst those roots
In the anime, greninja looks the way it does after it transforms because ash was it's trainer, it would make no sense for ash greninja to come to the game other than as a reward for a long research story. Getting hearts seems like it makes sense but it really doesn't.
Greninja is not heavily tied to zygarde, the entire thing is greninja helped z2 (a core) clean up effects of team flares attacks after Pokemon XY. So the laziest way any pokemon was removed
I think they should introduce ash as someone to train us. Say we can challenge him with only best buddies and if we beat him the ribbon gets an upgrade and greninja can transform

No, I think you would need to earn hearts to get ash greninja as it is literally a bond phenomenon which is related to bonding.
Maybe you get some item and if you give that to a greninja and battle in a certain amount of raids with that greninja you would level up your bond

I got Ash-Greninja in my Violet version, hopefully you guys kept it from the Sun & Moon Demo as transferring is the only way to have it now.
What would also be interesting is how long the battle bond ability would last, maybe as long as Primal Kyogre/Groudon or maybe even longer, but I do agree with the heart system it does make sense I think 450 or 500 would work, that should be a feature with Greninja, possibly Lucario too because Ash not only connects with Infernape, Greninja, and Sceptile, but also Lucario... But just Greninja makes sense because it is a visible and spiritual bond between them. I also see it the Battle Phenomenon as a special research story, it could be 6 pages, like catch a certain amount of water types or what ever, but if they are going to release it during a tour (Kalos) it could be a couple of years, or they could release it with a special Zygarde Event or Mega Diancie event. Idk let me know what you think.
In main series you have to KO something to get battle bond - so maybe once you throw 1 charge move in GO it turns into ash greninja & Out at the end of the battle
@ Possibly, but also another thing that came to mind would be the max cp after the battle bond is activated, my guess, since it is relevant in pvp, would be 6500 (maxed out, hundo, etc.) Or it could be higher, maybe higher than kyogre or groudon. Actually it could be a feature during battle where you can activate it mid battle and it not only gives greninja most if it's health back and gives it the cp boost, but that could be very much nerfed, but it could be an idea.
I think it will come to pokemon go but you'll have to complete research to get candies for it but the Greninja u want to bond phenomenon must be best buddies
My sister achieved her shiny shadow pokemon come from Team Go Rocket and it makes me feel impressive when my sister got lucky pokemon during the day in the afternoon.
Best Buddy + Battle Requirements + It takes on colors / appearance based on your avatar items; making it exclusive for everyone (potentially). The 'hair' that he has would be your hair color and the red color could correlate to what color is most present on your avatar. E.g. wearing the Rayquaza set would make the hair color green. You can form change it or change the colors with candy after you've changed your outfit.
But highkey, I think it shouldn't be added. It is overrated and too complicated. Hopefully if they do release it, its not just to appease players by releasing the basic version of it, and just taking up space.
TBH I think it could be another cool pokemon to grind. like zygarde (although that one is a little extreme). It's nice for something trainers to have something to work towards!

The problem is that it got retconned out of existence in the anime. The flashbacks to that saga show Greninja as a regular one instead of the special form, so not even the anime kept it as canon.

Thanks for the educational video for Ash Greninja! I didn’t watch the anime series on this phenomenon either so it definitely helped fill in the gaps. The main question I have, is why didn’t this bond/phenomenon happen first with Pikachu? It’s a well known fact that Ash’s bond with Pikachu is strong right? I don’t know, maybe I’m missing something but it is something that will bother me until I find out lol

I think they explain that not every pokemonn & trainer can battle bond. It needs to be specific Pokémon that find their "perfect" trainer.

ASH-GRENINJA connection to Zygarde is that at the end of the anime Zygarde had to clean up the evil vines for team flare (the villains of XY series) and some how Ash-Greninja and Ash could see the vines before they surfaced so the Zygards requested ASH-GRENINJA to assist destroying the vines.
ASH-GRENINJA is seen in the Journuries anime still working but it still has a connection to Ash

I think a bond system could be implemented in order to make it transform similar to best buddy system but working a bit different to where you can do very little with greninja per day but is sped up if started as a froakie and building into a greninja

The Max Friendship boosting the pokemon CP could be Pokemon Go's version of Battle Bond. They could build on the feature where the more you battle with your Best Buddy the more that CP Boost can go without necessarily brining the new design such as Ash's Greninja... Let's not forget that the anime series replicated Ash's relationship with Greninja with another pokemon that had its moment recently in Pokémon Go: Lucario. Battle Bond could potentially be a big key element to promote League Battles where its effects would be most resounding

Ash-Greninja was released in the Pokémon Sun and Moon Special Demo Version and when you first boot up the demo it’s highly implied that Ash gave you the Greninja. Since the OT of said Greninja is Ash after all. Also, towards the end of the Totem Mimikyu trial in Gen 7, you end up cornering the Mimikyu inside of a closet and if you look around the closet, you can find a picture of Ash and his Pikachu. Which could suggest that Ash also exists in the video game side of Pokémon
7:11, in the anime. One of Ash’s companions Bonnie, stumbles upon a Zygarde Core and befriends it. Bonnie nicknaming this Zygarde Core “Squishy”. Of course towards the end of the series. To stop Lysandre’s plan, Squishy and another Zygarde Core call upon the Cells of the Kalos region to make Zygarde Complete and the next scene Bonnie straight up commands Complete Zygarde to use Core Enforcer which straight up obliterates Lysandre and presumably killing him in the process. In one of the final episodes of the series, Ash releases his Greninja to continue to protect the Kalos region from the monster that Lysandre created. Since Zygarde is the protector of the ecosystem after all. The weird thing is that when we reunite with Ash’s Greninja in Pokémon Journeys episode 108. Ash’s Greninja doesn’t have the “Ash-Greninja” form anymore. I’m assuming that Ash’s Greninja didn’t need the form anymore since he got a whole lot more powerful after the Kalos series ended. Well this is just from what I remember watching the XY series. I might not remember everything exactly but this is the gist of what I remember
Ash-Greninja will be like Armored Mewtwo yoinks ago. No more any special treatment since Niantic would take time to code it, considering all the worse things in the game so far.

I think Ash Greninja wont come to Pokémon GO but if it did, i think a good way to release it is by using souvenirs because they have no use and also buddys should be a big part in this event, and i think you should be able to complete a research to get "Bonding Energy" which of course unlocks Ash Greninja, Also, instead of Ash Greninja being called Ash Greninja, i think it would be a very good idea to name the Greninja after you. Like for example "PokéDaxi's Greninja". Also walking with your Greninja would earn Bonding Energy after you completed the research. I feel like they should do the same thing that they did with Mega Rayquaza, where you would have to make your Pokémon learn a specific move. Maybe like "Bonding Water Blast". And the way to get this move is by getting 50 hearts with your buddy as greninja to get a "True Friend Badge" The Bonding Evolution would last for 6 hours instead of 8, because how OP it is lol. Thats all i have to say about how i want Ash Greninja to release!

I have always liked the idea that if Ash-Greninja came to Pokémon Go, we’d need to Best Buddy any Greninja to give us the ability to transform it. Not sure if this is still a thing but if I recall correctly, Ash-Greninja was shiny locked in the main series games. Or there was at least no way to get a shiny Greninja with the battle bond ability. So if I had to guess, we’ll either get Ash-Greninja (shiny locked) from elite raids, or we’ll get it from some special research where it is also shiny locked. I’d like to think the former just because it’ll probably be some sort of “mega evolution” mechanic to turn it into Ash Greninja and you’ll need to collect energy.
I think they could make a new buddy level for greninja so it would be the level after best buddy
Ash greninja has been in the code for a while now, cday wouldve been the best time to release it but i hope they release it soon. As a main series game player and a very big fan of greninja i think we will. One, pokemon go doesn’t follow main series games. And two we have alot of unique pokemon that aren’t even in the main series games so i think pokemon go will release everything that wasn’t part of main series games like more unique pokemon and possibly even shiny locked pokemon which i think ash greninja will be one of them depending on how they do it. Plus people can say ash greninja was removed from sv yes thats true but we also haven’t had megas in main series games since sun and moon as well as greninja so we’ll definitely get it at some point in time.
The anime itself is trying to act like it never existed, by showing scenes it was in but in the regular greninja form. Battle bond in S/V just gives it a stat boost. We're not getting it lol

Special research where the last task requires you to gain best buddy status with a Greninja.
That will award you with the energy to transform it. From there you can only gain more energy by walking with greninja as your buddy (like megas) which simulates strengthening your bond with it (getting more hearts even though you are already maxed).
Ash greninga can defeat the whole kalos exept Alain Charizard
I doubt Niantic would release it through the buddy system. It can be released the same way as a mega, it might just need a special move like Rayquaza. No way Niantic would miss out on mega raid money, and Ash Greninja would definitely be something people would pay to get. Its deiniftely coming though, its been in the code since 2021 lol. I remember back then people were wondering how the primals and 100% Zygarde would come (both in the same update back then) and look where we are now.
So that's why every time I loss a match in a pokemon game the character always faints for no reason😮
It’s referred to as “Bond Evolution” and maybe it would require best buddy or something, and could even be included with other Pokémon. I think Ash Greninja would be the first though.

Ash Greninja was shown in the xy anime but didn’t make the games until the Sun/Moon demo but that was the first and last time we got to see it as far as i can remember
Rayquaza, Groudon and Kyogre all require a special mechanic to change into it’s respective Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion. Greninja should be no different. It could be via best buddy, that’s how we could get it to it’s “battle bond”

Zygarde asked Greninja to save kalos from dark energy and say goodbye to Ash. The team flare had left wounds in kalos and Greninja was the only one that could see and track the energy to stop it from spreading

I could see it being something called "perfect buddy". Ibstead kf hearts, you already have to be best buddy then complete some chqllenges eg. Walk 100KM together, deal 10k damage in battles together,walk 100 routes together. Something stupid liekt hat where u rly have to geind for it. Also maybe its a move in battle. You would have to use a move, then it would upgrade, deal more damage or something

if we keep a new pokemon as ur buddy we need to get all 4 hearts to make it our best buddy. So for greninga i think we can have another extra heart and when we complete that heart our bond grows with greninga and u can turn it into ash greninga.Or to turn it into ash greninga we get the change form option but we need to win battles a 100 or 200 times or get 100 hearts.That's how i think we can get,or the point of releasing zygarde was for ash greninga i think.
Twice, in the anime and in sun and moon. Unfortunately you can’t add him to pokemon home either, he pretty much has been discontinued except in the merchandising.
By the looks of things, it’s not coming. They could possibly add a skin like how they do the pikachus and other mons.
He can’t be a mega. And if they start implementing megas with every starter pokemon, then I would say ash greninja COULD POTENTIALLY be a thing.
It’s too early to say for sure if he ever will or will not be a thing. And after the froakie CD, it appears unlikely for the remainder of this year.
Honestly they should be fixing up routes right now. I know they have different teams for different parts of the game to work on, ash greninja should have been a thing during this past CD if they were gonna do it.
There are 2 other ways I can see them introducing it. That would be through a sort of mega raid, or if they ever get around to mega evolving the other Gen 6 starters they would probably include ash greninja in that line-up.

The reason why Ash’s Greninja is tied to zygarde is because Ash’s Greninja can sense traces of team flares evil zygarde but the good zygarde (Squishy) cannot therefore Ash has to say goodbye to his Greninja so it can help zygarde destroy the remains of team flare’s evil zygarde. Hope that helps😁
I can get Ash Greninja in Sun or Moon by playing the demo and then send the pokemon to the main game when the demo reach a sertain point. You can then transfer Ash Greninja to Pokemon Bank and then to Pokemon Home.
You maybe right we don't have ash in any of the games, but we didn't have Jessie or James Physically in pokemon go, which I was really hoping for when we got "Team Go Rocket" heck I was even hoping for Butch and Cassidy! But for a short time in the special research task we got Jessie and James. So if they were to implement Ash Grananja the Special research would be nice during the Kalos tour; with Ash being the one on how to really bond with froakie into Grenanja.
Maybe with that event we can get an outfit that Ash wore in the kalos region.

Honestly I think Ash Greninja will be introduced. The way I imagine it would be introduced is in the Kalos Tour. You’ll need to get the best buddy ribbon and make your best buddy greninja your buddy (like how the best buddy boost works) and only when it is as your buddy it can be used as Ash Greninja from. No energy or anything I don’t believe.
I imagine it will only be allowed in PvE and Raids but not PvP. That’s my very detailed prediction as to how it’d work.

In preparation make your Greninja Best Buddy for sure it will be one of the requirements if ever it comes to the game.
Ash sent greninja away somewhere in the anime and we get it in sun and moon because of that send off. You didn't need any friendship with it. It just had a different ability to transform though now that thing doesn't exist if you transfer it forward enough

I think that you need to get full buddy levels and then you have to get energry from greninja getting gifts for you you can either get 200 - 300 and you need 1000 energy
I REALLY Want ash greninja because I got a best buddy, hundo froakie, evoloved it on com day for hydro canon and then got a 98% Lucky Shiny Froakie the same day and Im about to start friending it up, So I think it would be really fun if we got Ash Greninja and Usefull for me because of all the grens I got

It's already in the PoGo gamemaster so 100% it will be released at some point. But we got Primal Kyogre this spring and soon raids again so Niantic probably didn't want us to focus on Ash Greninja instead at the moment.

i guess that if it come it would be conected to best buddy and maby to obtain some spacial numbers of hearts from traveling new feature - routs - there are already zygarde cells conected to it why not greninja as well ? after all ash greninja stay at kalos to help zygarde to combat aginst those roots
In the anime, greninja looks the way it does after it transforms because ash was it's trainer, it would make no sense for ash greninja to come to the game other than as a reward for a long research story. Getting hearts seems like it makes sense but it really doesn't.
Maybe it would be release next year as a anniversary gift in a search research or something

Greninja is not heavily tied to zygarde, the entire thing is greninja helped z2 (a core) clean up effects of team flares attacks after Pokemon XY. So the laziest way any pokemon was removed

I think to unlock ash-greninja you need to max greninja (3001 CP) best buddy aswell, heart requirements ..like when you playing with them give heart like idk how to call it affection sort of
