Limp Arm: Taking the Back from HALF-GUARD (BJJ/Jiu-Jitsu)

- Today we look at one of the best ways to take the back using the HALF GUARD as a tool. One of the ways you first learn to take the back from the half guard relies on our partner’s reaction - they plant their hands on the mat to avoid being swept and leave an opening for us to slip underneath. But after a certain level of training, your partner knows this and they’ll use the WHIZZER to stop you from easily taking the back. Here we’re going to use an alternative method - coming up to the knees into the so-called “dogfight” position - where we can slip our arm out and over their body, landing on the back and ready to attack.

Love the details, Brian. Especially the pummeling of the leg to control the possible forward roll.
