Just started playing soccer again at 17, after not playing since 13(quit because I felt my size was too big a disadvantage) but your journey has inspired me and I’m glad to be playing again

Cool view into the trial. Loved the discussions on nutrition; it's something that's super easy to overlook, but very important for playing at an elite level for any sport.
Re: the weather: yeah, for a couple months of the year, we just kind of have to deal with it, but a few things make it bearable - a)by the looks of it, you managed to be in town for some of the coldest days we've had this year; it's cold, but typically not quite *that* cold. b) your body actually does acclimate over time. The first week or two of cold weather each winter tends to be rough, but if you can get through that, you'll be okay. c)we have a lot of infrastructure up here to ensure that you don't have to spend much time out in the cold if you don't want to. and d)our summers and autumns make up for it. I'll take a MN winter over a Houston summer every time.
That is very interesting , the only thing I thought was , how did the homeless survive outside in such cold conditions !!?
@@JodabeniTV good question, and one I'm honestly not probably the best person to answer, but my understanding is people are generally able to find shelter overnight at homeless shelters, churches (both of which are well supported in MN), as well as 24 hour businesses such as Targets and hotel lobbies and public transit (just riding the bus or light rail all night). In general, people understand how dangerous the cold can be, so nobody's going to throw you out from a heated location onto the street if they can avoid it. I also think many homeless find ways to travel to warmer climates before winter sets in. But it is true that if you cannot find shelter anywhere, yeah, your odds of survival are slim.

@@lortpilopoloralphlauren7429 as a kid I was at Barcelona youth in Spain and then had short spells and trial periods with alloa fc , st mirren fc and Morton fc I had to stop playing for a few seasons due to mental health but I’m now back feeling stronger than ever

This is for one trial, without the flight cost. Many players have to do this for 4 different teams or more in the span of 2 months in the US. Many players watching cannot afford these costs alone....and that's reality.
