I do love the drastic steps you take. I know at my age there is a good chance that I would not see the full progression of trees like theses. In the future maybe you could take older trees from nature that when styled look closer to completion, and I know there is no such thing as a complete bonsai it’s always in progress.

i inherited a very sad pomegranate bonsai that has been leggy and misshapen. it's been challenging trying to determine the best course of action to improve it, but seeing the measures required to start these pine on the right path has given me more confidence to make a few drastic revisions to the shape, and remove some larger branches that interfere with the flow of the trunk. thank you for sharing.
I'm keeping an eye out for random seedlings popping up around my home! No Pines but I see a couple interesting trees I may try to pull out later! Thanks, Milton! :)
