hey! I really appreciated you making this video! as a mentally ill trans person, I found your experiences to be extremely cathartic and relatable. You sharing your stories allowed me to laugh about similar shit that has happened to me so thank you for this!
Great video! Made it to the end. I feel like I’m very aware of these types of situations and avoid saying or doing anything to ever make someone feel like you were made to feel. But hearing stories makes me even more aware!
Omg I just realized I never replied! So sorry! I’m glad you made it to the end, and I’m glad my stories can help spread awareness too! Hope you’re doing well 💛💛💛
omg, i feel for you in every one of these stories. the ignorance that people display in shouting name change info across lobbies and public areas is so infuriating. I honestly can't tell if its just general incompetence or intentional transphobia. I'm glad you mentioned some of the nice people who tried to help out. I always try to remember the people who do a really good job whenever my blood starts to boil recounting any of the really stupid experiences i've had lol
Yeah, it’s so frustrating it feels powerless. But you’re right, it’s always important to remember the people who do stick up for us and do things right. Those people are so important. 💛
Gynecology (n.) also gynaecology, "science of women's health and of the diseases peculiar to women," 1847, from French gynécologie, from Latinized form of Greek gynaiko-, combining form of gynē "woman, female," from PIE root *gwen- "woman." Second element is from French -logie "study of," from Greek (see -logy)...
I'm also AMAB non-binary, and Bipolar 1. I've been watching your videos for about a month or so. I LOVE hearing your perspectives, your stories... you have so many thoughts and ideas comparable to my own it's uncanny! I've been considering HRT myself, and probably top surgery after that. But, my wife (who knows I'm transgender non-binary) would leave, with our children. That's something I couldn't live with. Wondering if you'd have any suggestions for looking more femme/androgynous without HRT. Thanks!
I’m really glad my stories resonate with you! I’m sorry to hear about your wife and kids, and feeling conflicted. When my mother began transitioning, my other mom (very religious) kicked her out. She lost her wife and her three kids. And for her that was the right move (she was suicidal and felt like she had no other option other than to transition), and now she has a relationship with all three kids. But I know for that time that she didn’t have any of us was extremely painful. I recently got out of a relationship and I bonded very strongly with her kids (I truly felt like they were my own) and when I moved out I lost them. So I understand that pain and I don’t blame you for not wanting to medically transition for sure. Whatever decision you feel is best is what you should do definitely 😊 I actually have a video about how to appear more androgynous! I’ll post the link after I post this comment. There’s definitely so many different ways to go about it, and androgyny is obviously “up for interpretation” (meaning to me, I look androgynous, but other people may see me as feminine, or every masculine possibly). But I’d say jewelry really helps me feel less masculine. No facial hair helps me as well, grown out hair (if you part it either down the middle or just a little off to the side, it can cover any receding hairline you have), side bangs can also be cute and help to cover your forehead if that’s something you feel is masculine. I, personally, enjoy baggy clothing most of the time, that way people can’t “tell” if I have boobs or not (I’ll get like large hoodies or tee shirts when I probably really only need a small or maybe medium). Also working on your voice, depending how it sounds, can be huge. That can take a lot of practice tho for sure. And also, this isn’t technically an “androgynous” characteristic but I feel like it is, tattoos! I want to have my body covered in tattoos honestly, and for me, stuff like that helps to “distract” from any characteristics that people may find masculine about me. Instead of people noticing the things I don’t like about myself, they’ll just notice my tattoos! Oh, and hair color as well, anything with red undertones is usually more of a “feminine” color, and any sort of highlights as well is usually perceived as more feminine. Hope these tips help!
I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm transgender as well and identify as female. I've never really had but maybe one bad experience and it was only due to someone I trusted to mess up and use my dead name.

I was actually just talking about the problems being trans in medical places just this morning. It sucks. Especially being non-binary.
I agree 100%. Incredibly frustrating and disheartening
They really uave no clue how to treat trans people, like we're aliens or something
2nd story:
Either that "desk lady" was really stupid, really ignorant or just plain transphobic and bullying you.
But hek, yikes. 😅
I’m hoping she was just ignorant and not realizing how awful she was being. But you never know 🥲
I'm so sorry this happened to you.
I'm transgender as well and identify as female. I've never really had but maybe one bad experience and it was only due to someone I trusted to mess up and use my dead name.
Thank you 💛 I’m sorry that happened to you. Being deadnamed feels awful.
These are really bad experiences! It's really not great that people who need help in these situations have to deal with incompetent staff.
I definitely agree. Hopefully education about trans & non binary identities gets much better

I’m glad you put in an active effort to be considerate towards other people. It’s great to know there’s people like you in the world 💛
