In today's min/max culture it probably wasnt a great choice, but you know what? I had the time of my life (gaming-wise) in this zone. And the music...such a nostalgia trip. I am so grateful I got to play vanilla back in the day and that my first character was a night elf rogue. I absolutely loved Teldrassil, the look of it, the music and ambience, I didnt want to leave and continue leveling somewhere else. The song at 1:18 is my favorite song in all of wow, I would always stop and listen because I was afraid of moving to far away and the music would change to something else.
I just can't describe the feeling I get when I hear this but it is the same feeling I got when I first heard it. It takes me to a place not even of this earth, so peaceful. My heart seems to burst with good feeling.
I hear you. Listening to the first melodies of Teldrassil almost 12 years ago brings back a flood of some of the best moments in my life. WoW wasn't just a game back then, it was another full world, full of amazing experiences, and these tunes like you said allow me to relive it.
6:58 I love this song. It reminds me of my cat who passed away not long after I started playing wow in 2006. I was already playing a night elf hunter, so I tamed a tabby-looking night stalker cat in Teldrassil, and he's lived on as my buddy ever since.
It was 2010 I had just gotten out of a long relationship I had my laptop which wasn't meant for gaming but I downloaded the wow trial then the full game. I upgraded my starter account and built a PC then my adventure started it was late cata I met some good friends had nothing but time on my hands besides work. I played through all of mists took a break in wod about half way through. came back towards the end played all of legion (first time seriously raiding found a good guild) played off and on in bfa stayed with them till they split up in shadowlands. Engaged now and helping raise a little one so don't really have time to play but I miss it theres some good memories tied to this game and music.
That nostalgic feeling of leveling up a new night elf. As much as I try to go back and play again it is not the same. It makes me sad that those days have gone. But I will always keep the spirit alive by enjoying its music, cinematics, and I also collect WoW merchandise (clothes, action figures, etc) to always remember the best times of my youth. Videos like this always makes me happy.
@@MichaelsPaintingChannel Agreed sometimes I have to sign out of WOW and work for the real reward. Most of my toons are named that of the Christian belief in hopes it opens up conversations that could lead people to the true Master. Jesus.
Same. Started in December of 2004, just a couple of weeks after release. My first roll was a Night Elf and this music here brings me back to that time period instantly. The game, my life, my relationship at the time. I'm 38 and I still can't let go of the nostalgia I feel for true vanilla. Best game ever.
Once in a great while , when I need to have some peace late at night....I will make a night elf just to level in this zone and listen to the music have a adult beverage and just remember the magic that got me hooked on this game.
If i had one wish, i would be in the World of Warcraft itself. First Character Male Night Elf Hunter. This music pulls on the heartstrings. God i miss the memories. I wish it was still as popular as it was. I miss seeing people everywhere on it.
I am turning 30 in less than 6 months...God Willing. Youth is really a magical time when less awareness of the world and knowledge makes things....simply more magical...at least when playing a video game...or at least the early experiences of development as a youth
I remember seeing first horde player on a pve server at darkshore, I shadowmelded and he laughed at me. Teldrassil was like an unreachable comfort zone and there was a vast world to discover beyond it. No other starting location resembled Teldrassil.
this song helped me so much through my liver transplant. i had this on replay for like 2 weeks while i was barely conscious stuck in the hospital. now when i listen to it it has more meaning to me, and brings a small tear when i run back to the starter zones. to me, this is the best song in world of warcraft.
start playing on 2005 with my brother for almost 9 to 10 years .. always passing tedrassil just wanted to listen the musics,, kinda miss the old days when RAID with all my friends and had fun together. now i am 40 this year.. havent been play it but keep update the WOW game. my char is still there just want to have a look at them how i spent that time playing the game,,thank you
Night Elf druid was my first character.. I will never forget the feeling I had when I first created her and then logged in. The music, the world.. it was like I was living in there. Oh those times... its been so many years, I feel old!
I've listened to this every night for like 2 years. I'm probably responsible for half of the views on this video. Lol. Love it. It's my favorite area on wow.
Even though I had a very boring job back in '04 and '05, it was the thought of being able to play WoW again once I got home that got me through most days. Listening to the original WoW soundtrack on CD while thinking about the adventures that lay ahead for my fledgeling Night Elf Warrior made even the most mundane work more exciting. Over 17 years later, I have a much more fun job and WoW has long since lost its original shine, but we'll always have the memories of those magical days.
SIGH. A night elf druid was my FIRST ever character and I remember longing in and hearing this music... exploring the tree... finding the branches and the edges... entering the Barrow Dens.... Ahhhhh. Please hurry WoW Classic! ❤
A comment section on TH-cam that makes me smile, how awesome. Love your videos and thank you to everyone for sharing all the memories, hits all the right feels thinking back. ✌🏼
Even though I first started in late Vanilla, and just got my character to level 45-ish and then stopped until end of TBC/start of Wrath -leveling in Teldrassil and Auberdine and getting my Whirlwind axe with the help of my fully geared raid tiered buddy (who managed to find time between farming to prep for raids 😂) was one of the most vivid and immersive gaming experiences I've ever experienced (and I was a gamer for almost 20-ish years). Night elf warrior was my first ever character, countless deaths while pulling multiple creeps, countless hours spent doing quests, farming and spending hard earned gold on putting enchants onto Uncommon gear 😂 Life was good yeah... it was good.
When I first set eyes on the great tree as a NE Rogue.. I knew I was seeing something so special. I will never forget my time in wow. I will never forget the countless memories those first few years gave me. I was a vanilla player and played off and on for 10 years or so. I have 5 friends I still talk to.. to this day we meet up every night in disc and play games or just chat. There will never be a game or a time in my life that was as incredible as original vanilla WOW. It was the greatest time ever.
I started at an old age. 26ish. started in 2006. this is still the place i fly back to and just sit and remember when i had a brain. i have a form of cte that makes my reactions slow, my memory even shorter. at 54 this games still makes me forget about all my torubles.. love it and all the communities i have found along the way........ i record my vods and upload here so i will remember ....... thank you all
As soon as it plays, I get chills. Night elf druid is the best class, the best race. Been clean of Warcraft for a year, but might just revisit it on a new laptop....
Ahhh.. Back to 2006. My friend introduced wow to me and said that start with a night eöf hunter, it will suit you. I did, and here I am listening to these tunes during work days trying to chill.. Brings back great memories from the time I was studying and the world was a lot smaller, more peaceful and my life was just starting. Love it ❤
Same , except I no longer play , just takes up too much time . I tried being a casual player, but I just can’t do it., I want to experience all the game has to offer, it is way too time consuming. I love to raid and BG my face off , just can’t do it anymore.
Listening to these songs make me also hear all the iconic sound effects that have appeared while exploring the island as a child for the first time. I can hear the noises of the imps in the starting area, the trampling of the big trees near dolanaar, the roars of the nightsabers, i can hear the night elf npcs talking to me when interacting with them 'ishnu-alah', the sound of opening the quest log, drawing the string of my bow as a hunter.... But most they're bringing back memories of a long time friend of mine, who was calmly explaining to me all the basic stuff of the game during my first two hours playing it. She was suffering from an illness for years and passed away in 2020 after an organ donation. I simply cannot describe how badly i would like to turn back time to experience everything again we did together back then. This musics helps me to do that in my mind's eye... Thank you very much for the upload.
The moment I hear it... I feel like I have finally returned home after years of wandering in some wasted outlands... The memories... The old friends that I've lost to the time... My lovely alligator pet that every guide was labeling as a bad pet choice.... I miss it all... But Not even WoW Classic have a power to return those times even if the game is back.
I still play off an on, but during vanilla bad tbc I played with my brother and fathers. While they no longer play, and we play other games as a family, I’ll always miss the magic of playing wow with them. Some of the best memories as a kid
Thank you for posting this. I started WoW just around the time TBC hit. NE Hunter to start as I generally play Ranger type characters in any kind of D&D or RPG setting. I remember running up and down Darkshore for hours as mounts weren't available yet until higher levels listening to this music. Very nostalgic and Blizzard just hit all the right notes with this game.
This is the music of my teenage years. First race/class I ever made was a night elf hunter. I don't understand why but I vibe with night elves so much. Forever my love!
I started playing right after the South Park episode in 2006 and my first toon was a night elf hunter. I was 45, it was still magical as I was figuring out the game. When I wasn't working or sleeping I was playing WoW. Thanks for the memories.
I'll always remember the first time I saw WoW. It was at a friend's house and he showed me his Night Elf Druid, and how it could turn into a cat and go into stealth mode. This was out in front of Darnassus and I remember being amazed by the giant Ancients stomping around the area. Great memories.
I remember my first night elf Hunter, leveling in teldrassil and darkshore. Then sailing to stormwind, after this returning, and listening this music, such feeling as i returned home
This was where I first started and did not a ANY clue about the game ...must have spent a few days wandering this area leveling and trying to do quests without ever buying or upgrading my spells lol getting my ass kicked over and over again until someone invited me to a group ...we did a few quests and split up again and I was back to getting my ass kicked ... until I grouped with a girl who showed me the score ... never looked back then :)
Like most of us :) I remember dying a lot in that spider cave (Shadowthread Cave). And I used to play that much in the following weeks that I had the feeling I can shoot arrows with a bow in the real life :)
THAT cave ...but what I also remember was the first time wandering into Darnassus and seeing the huge tree thing outside and this massive city ...was very wondrous to me at the time
Now extrapolate this story to life.... You dicked around cluelessly, never really 'upgraded' your life skills but met some people and life suddenly got a lot easier. You get older, lose sight of people but one day you meet someone special... And they help you level up permanently. Game of life :)
Meisio that cave still haunts me...kids these days will never understand how hard the hunter life used to be....k i am only 19 myself but i‘ve been playing for like 12 years now and hunting with counted arrows and no pet THAT cave was hell on earth in BC q.q
This is the reason for me even playing the game as long as i did. If it wasnt for Teldrassil i would never have gave wow a chance. Glad i did it was great fun.
I will never ever forget this music, every time I hear it I want to level a night elf again. And I really like to sleep with that music inPinnen Sie kopierte Textausschnitte an, damit sie nicht nach 1 Stunde gelöscht werden
This place & music makes me jealous as a Horde player. I'd sneak between the boats to here and Azuremyst Isle often, making friends with Ally starters while trying not to get killed lol
It's fixed now in the upcoming patch! Nothing to be jealous at anymore! Sorry for the dark joke! :) I was an Alliance player at that time and I was doing the same on The Barrens. Sitting on _Shadowmeld_ near a tree or on top of the mountains, from time to time seeing a player on his way and hoping I will not get spotted :)
I'm 32 now, I started my first character - Night Elf Priest at 16. I still have that Priest. This music really unlocks a beautiful, peaceful place in my soul whenever I hear it, it's like nothing else could ever matter.
My first ever WoW character was a Night Elf druid, in the beta of classic WoW, yes, the BETA of classic wow. Still remember the first time running across the first "red" name on a PvP server, unbelievable nostalgia.
I often think about how nice it would be to play wow, but in reality I just remember the good times I had in wow. If I try to play now, it would not feel the same. I know because I have tried to play many many times. But I am left disappointed every time because for some reason I can't feel what I felt when I played wow back in the days. Watching this video right now makes me want to play wow, but if I were to play wow now I would lose motivation in about 10 minutes. It's like that with a lot of games I used to love playing. Now I lose motivation to play those games after 10 minutes... I hate becoming older, nothin is as enjoyable anymore.
My very first character i made was a nelf druid. i used to play warcraft 3 with my friends, and then when wow was out, we all went and got it and logged in together, and i remember just how magical it looked and how real it felt!! gosh how i wish there was a time machine to take me back! X(
One of the happiest days of my life when I first logged into wow and found myself in Teldrassil. This was at the beginning of the burning crusade expansion. It was captivating, enchanting and magical. It also marked my return to gaming after a long spell.
This bring me so many memories. It feels like home. Reminds me of the many adventures I had with my friends. Some of them still friends to this day. Wish I could back and install the game again for the first time. When everyone didn't have a guide and had to discover the world. When pvp videos with greenday music were the norm.
I remember leveling my Night Elf warrior here, back during the Burning Crusade expansion. My favorite place to chill out and browse through the Auction House for deals. It's amazing how we still remember the little things in WOW that made the game so fun to play. Thanks for making the video.
Its so calm, the ambience, the music the ringing sounds of the whisps....This made me love night elfs.Sometime i even want to live in a small village somewhere in the deep in forest region where no other person ever go.
Nightelf Druid, my first WoW character in 2005....still have and love her and even if I play Horde for many years now, I never got the feeling, than this starting zone had again. Sometimes I log in with my NE Druid and visit old places!
This was always my favorite music in WoW. Likely because my first character back in Vanilla was a night elf, but even beyond that I would always do zones with this music. The only thing that's missing is the sounds of footsteps on the stone path between the starting area and Darnassus to complete the auditory experience.
My first ever toon was a Night Elf hunter. This music hits hard in the nostalgia. I'll never forget my first time walking into Darnassus. The music hit a perfectly timed crescendo right as I got there. Freaking magical. Had a similar experience first time in Stormwind, but nothing will top my Teldrassil memories.
The most peaceful starting zone. This and Elwyn forest are my absolute favorite! Nostalgia truck overload! My first ever character was a Night Elf if I remember correctly.

@ yeah somehow I get what you mean. If I hear these sounds I am happy but at the same time I feel like something is not quite right and I get sad...
@ in 23 day u can revive
Same here. 100% it feels like its a real place.
6:58 I love this song. It reminds me of my cat who passed away not long after I started playing wow in 2006. I was already playing a night elf hunter, so I tamed a tabby-looking night stalker cat in Teldrassil, and he's lived on as my buddy ever since.
🥺🥺hope you’re doing good, that’s so beautiful
I hope you still have him
@@elfo7 me too!
NE Druid, here. I met the love of my life playing this game, hearing this soundtrack. A thousand thanks for this.
Did you marry her? ❤
i was there.....3000 years ago......
Very nice nusic. I miss the good old days.
I will never forget the magic of exploring Teldrassil for the first time as a Druid, it feels like yesterday.. I so wish I could relive it all again..
I wish I could be teleported into Teldrassil and live the rest of my life there.
Jesus said: heaven has many mansions. Believe me, if it weren't so, I wouldn't have told you.
FIrst character: Nightelf Hunter. I had no clue what kind of emotions and memories this game would create for me on that day.
The feelings of nostalgia that this music gives me, breaks my heart and mends it at the same time.
I am turning 30 in less than 6 months...God Willing.
Youth is really a magical time when less awareness of the world and knowledge makes things....simply more magical...at least when playing a video game...or at least the early experiences of development as a youth
Ive taken lsd and meditated at 2 am in the pinch dark of my room & convinced myself i was a night elf.
It was fantastic.
Good health, long life Drew!
So you are the guy whos hogging all the livers huh? Isnt 7 enough?!
This music, ambience and environment are why I have played with so many Night Elf characters.
start playing on 2005 with my brother for almost 9 to 10 years .. always passing tedrassil just wanted to listen the musics,, kinda miss the old days when RAID with all my friends and had fun together. now i am 40 this year.. havent been play it but keep update the WOW game. my char is still there just want to have a look at them how i spent that time playing the game,,thank you
This holds a special place in my heart.
so much shared empathy with this comment section
Night Elf druid was my first character.. I will never forget the feeling I had when I first created her and then logged in. The music, the world.. it was like I was living in there. Oh those times... its been so many years, I feel old!
I've listened to this every night for like 2 years. I'm probably responsible for half of the views on this video. Lol. Love it. It's my favorite area on wow.
Thank you for watching :D
Pretty sure I am responsible for a good chunk of the other have. I let it roll when I'm at work!
i teared up listenting to this. Man this brought my whole childhood back... Good times man. its truly sad how far blizzard has falllen.
Whoever had the idea to make the trees in this game so massive is a genius. you feel so immersed when playing
The first time I took the ship to wetland I was so excited...still remember feeding my pet to keep it happy and buying arrow....
Ah, that beautiful music playing, and in the back ground, ever so faint, the shout of a low level Male Night Elf Rogue dying.
Yes, hurry, but not too much if the game is not ready, right? We don't want more unfinished work :-)
Hey Katherine! :-)
@@Meisio Wellll, good point. :^ But maybeeee another sneak peak like before. Hellloooo! 💗
My sense of direction was so bad, I remember getting lost in the Barrow Dens 😄 My bf would get so mad, it was so obvious to him.
I’ve never felt so much magic and enchantment in my life than playing through this zone.
Love it ❤
This was my first sight in WoW in 2005... and start of MMO journey that still lasts :) Eh memories...
Hehe, same here Selena. Thank you for sharing your memories with us and nice to meet you! :)
Same , except I no longer play , just takes up too much time . I tried being a casual player, but I just can’t do it., I want to experience all the game has to offer, it is way too time consuming. I love to raid and BG my face off , just can’t do it anymore.
Dude, you just need to know that your videos are awesome and underrated. Perfect for work and studying, and well produced. THANKS!
Wow! Thank you very much for making my day better
Reading this LITERALLY gave me goosebumps. Thank you for that experience.
I remember getting my box set November 2004 (should have bought 2). Start zone filled with all us new players that didn't know anything.
I loved the good old World of Warcraft soo much, I miss the original.
First character, female night elf priest 😔 good ol’ days.
Night elf warrior here! In hindsight maybe not the best choice, but I had literally no idea what I was doing.
I like how you included the rain effects in the video.
I can listen to this all day long.
Preparing a really long version of this, I hope I'll have the time to launch it soon :)
@@Meisio I'll be waiting:-)
@@Meisio That would be awesome
На дворе 2024 год. А эта мелодия до сих пор греет мне сердце
This is the music of my teenage years. First race/class I ever made was a night elf hunter. I don't understand why but I vibe with night elves so much. Forever my love!
same bro my main Charrakter on WoW classic is night elf Hunter right now :D
@@Nesk_Productions classic as in Wrath classic?
The nostalgia is real.
Glad to have played this game with all of you.
I was an Alliance player at that time and I was doing the same on The Barrens. Sitting on _Shadowmeld_ near a tree or on top of the mountains, from time to time seeing a player on his way and hoping I will not get spotted :)
@ meh, 3/10 trying way too hard. Try "Sylvanus did nothing wrong" next time.
I'm 32 now, I started my first character - Night Elf Priest at 16. I still have that Priest. This music really unlocks a beautiful, peaceful place in my soul whenever I hear it, it's like nothing else could ever matter.
Although the experiences are gone forever, the memories of these places will continue to exist in our hearts until the day we die
the best music in the game ..
this is where i started wow in 2005 Night Elf hunter
My first ever WoW character was a Night Elf druid, in the beta of classic WoW, yes, the BETA of classic wow. Still remember the first time running across the first "red" name on a PvP server, unbelievable nostalgia.
Same bro.. a NE Rogue.. man it seems like a lifetime ago.. I'd give anything to relive that experience again..
Same
this got me through some very hard work sessions during my final weeks at university
This music got me hooked on the game
This bring me so many memories. It feels like home. Reminds me of the many adventures I had with my friends. Some of them still friends to this day. Wish I could back and install the game again for the first time. When everyone didn't have a guide and had to discover the world. When pvp videos with greenday music were the norm.
I remember leveling my Night Elf warrior here, back during the Burning Crusade expansion. My favorite place to chill out and browse through the Auction House for deals. It's amazing how we still remember the little things in WOW that made the game so fun to play. Thanks for making the video.
My favorite place in all of WoW, the Nightelf forests :) Always felt magical going there and with the music. :')
absolutely ridiculous amounts of nostalgia from this...
I love World of Warcraft Classic!
My first character? A Night Elf priest named Aidan. Ahhhh....I miss her!
Ahhhh the Elves .... magnifficent place ! 😊
My very first discovered zone, and still one of my favourites
