for people who are in doubt and need some tips: To get an S Rank medal per game, you only need to have a Combo of at least 30 and lose a maximum of 100 life per game. Don't worry about the sword and shuriken hits, they practically don't count anything, only the combos and the life that matter, as I said :)
this video helped prove a theory of mine. I agree with Luck that I think combo + life + time = S rank. Low hit ratings with weapons is a minor penalty because I was hitting near 100%, under 100 health damage, combo 30 but still got A ranks. Problem was I was taking so much time to kill them that I was falling short. I truly believe that time is a factor.

It's fairly easy to get S rank in most levels, except at the end. Progress through the game if you play a level that seems like impossible to S rank, and come back later to it with better weapons. Throw the ranged weapon once and hit something to guarantee 100% accuracy for the ranged weapon. Try different combinations of items when you feel like you are struggling. And use the second ultimate power to rank up on the hit multiplyer. Goodluck!
@@xionyx forget it, I got the platinum a few days ago. and I noticed a detail that I think you didn’t even notice, to get Rank S in the levels, you don’t even have to worry about sword or shuriken hits, you basically should only have a Combo of up to 30 hits and lose at most 100 life per game, those are the only necessary requirements :) and no one had noticed this ,_,
