  • In this video, I'll show you how I coat my Tesla Nerd3 with a layer of protection after decontaminating and correcting the paint. This is by far the easiest part of the process. If you haven't watched the other two episodes, make sure you follow the steps outlined in those prior to doing this for the best results.

    I had a lot of high spots the last time I coated my vette with csl and exo. I polished them out. There’s a mark on the drivers door. Almost like a smear. It was the worst time I’ve ever had and I’ve coated lots of cars. Lol, figures it happened to my own car. I can’t wait for spring to start washing and keeping the cars nice.
    White cars are very hard to wipe coating off of.

    You mentioned “wiper management” and the impact on windshield coatings. I live in the NW so rain is a regular thing. The wiper auto feature on the Tesla SUCKS so constantly messing with the wiper speeds to better “manage” their performance. Any other coating recommendations for heavy wiper use? Or stick with this product and increase frequency?
    Really enjoying the videos...thanks!

    Matt, Just watched one of your old videos with RUPES on the pros and cons of ceramic coating. It sounds like keeping the paint in perfect condition can be more difficult in the long run. I'm interested to learn why you decided to coat the Tesla and GT4 if that was the case. Especially the GT4 since you're planning to keep it long term. Wouldn't a sealant be just as effective since you're washing and maintaining the paint as often as you are? Thanks for all of the great videos, will be ordering some gear from your site soon.

    Idk if you’ll get to read this or your assistant will respond for you, hopefully you do but 1 I love everything on your website and its a dream to do what you do but what I love most is your pressure washing setup but my 1 pet peeve is that everything is so prefect which is great but what I love most is the pressure washer gun its perfect and I recently bought the MTM SGS-28 Swiveling High Pressure Sprayer and I love it but do you think it would be a good idea to sell the casing just by itself, without the parts to keep the gun looking sexy and perfect I mean don’t judge me and don’t call me broke 😂 but i think you would make a killing off selling the casing by itself because the plastic covering gets banged up overtime and you always talk about the parts are meant to be switched out so then why not sell the casing to by itself for 20$ idk name ur price and shit i would bye 5 of them cause i want to keep it perfect forever. I really think you’ll make a killing from it or just don’t pay attention to what i said but maybe you can ask in one of your videos to your subscribers and if you get a bunch of yeses then idk maybe you’ll add to your income 🤷🏾‍♂️ you already know ill buy a shit ton of them

      Ira, my winter in VT: I use a good DYI car wash. Never touch their foam brush, ever. 2 min with pressure wash on Soap, get your grit off. 2 min with seperate soap gun, foam the car. Bring your own shaggy mitt, and gently move around foam. Then pressure rinse and dry. Last step, buy the Bead Maker. Go over whole car, dry with a clean "drying agent" towel.

    Matt, you mentioned at the 18-minute mark something that I have long suspected as true...These coating companies selling 5 - 9 year coatings are full of crap.. A ceramic coated car will still get marked up if it is driven. Good wash practices will help of course but buying a coating and forgetting about it for six years is stupid. Anybody that wants their cars to look nice will polish the car and re-apply their coating of choice...These companies selling misconceptions to the dumb public. What's worse is a professional detailer selling that to a client.

    • @jeffc6832
      @jeffc6832 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The solvent portion evaporates (as it is designed to do), but nothing is wiped off. It gets leveled. Paint is very porous and jagged on a microscopic level. Coatings fill it in and smooths everything out. It is the best paint protection you can buy, but it isn't bulletproof.

  • @bobrewer202
    @bobrewer202 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Show the high spots instead of talking about them. And this is not a hair salon where it’s chic to say “Product”. It’s a coating and/or a sealant, call it as such and not “Product”. If it was paint, you’d call it paint. I think you got paid for saying product. How about brands you’d recommend or not. Pricing? Basically spent 40 + minutes watching you wipe down a car and talk about “Product”.
