Everyone talks about what a megalomaniac Bono is (himself included) and in some ways I'm sure they're right. But this was the most selfless act any band could do. 20,000 people show up to see U2 and they end their show by letting EODM play. Very classy. And The Eagles knocked it out of the park. So proud to be a fan

This is amazing, now I wish I had paid attention to these guys before the events of last month. They are great musicians. :) For me, this was the ultimate moment of greatness for U2... letting this band that has been through so much take the stage and show the world how music can replace fear with hope. I can't hold back the tears right now.

I'm not sure how this is perceived as "opportunistic" The EODM didn't choose to be a part of this, the men who shot up the venue did. Because they chose to involve a relatively popular band in their attack it will obviously get more attention than other attacks that are just as horrifying and important as this one was. To imply that EDOM shouldn't use their platform for this type of thing is crazy. They are band they play music this is how they reciprocate love to the victims in Paris. It's also important for the band because they were victims as well. As for the Bono snark, under any other circumstance I would probably be with it. In this case though they allowed the EODM to play to the city that the attack took place in. Respect from Tx
Its so amazing that all the EODM band members survived this horrible attack while dozens of others were reported killed and injured. There must be something truly special with these guys if the terrorists were not able to kill them. What a gift they left us. My friends are all dying of HIV. We refuse to blame ourselves and our choices. This music inspires us to go on spreading the love because tomorrow is a new order. To hell with Jesus. Long live the magic.
