Another good video with useful tips/tricks. When possible, I prefer to restore the component rather than buy new bolt-on replacements. It is much easier on the retirement pocket book. The lack of shop tools, such as a hydraulic press, lathe and welding machine does present a barrier. I'm slowly working through the playlist and enjoying each segment. Its still too cold in Alberta to work on my project, but groundhog day is only 25 days away. It was -25C this morning, almost tropical compared to what we have been getting. TTFN/CDC
Hi Charles, whoa -25 degrees! That’s still pretty cold! 🥴 Yes tooling is a limiting factor and we are constantly looking for something we don’t yet have. I try to find older tools at auctions, but this is not always the best way, you have to be pretty savvy. Of course most of the time that one thing you need right now is not available so it is a bit hit and miss. 👍😉
HI Ermano, Thank you for pointing this out. Others have noticed this too and we will do a follow up video to correct it as we need to work through setting up the brakes when the tractor is completely reassembled. Good spot! 😉👍
Fantastically helpful. Many thanks.
Glad it was helpful! 😉👍

Hi Charles,
Are your brake rod cams the right way around?
Hi Rodney, quite possible! We will need to work through these again once we’re in the new place. 😉👍
Attention ⚠️ in the video the driver of the brake is mounted the wrong way round!
