Great video. As an enthusiast of the QUANSHENG, I’ve noticed a trend of “slander” to question the radio’s integrity. The dreadful “spurious harmonics”! I have seen this radio tested by people that are electrical engineers. With many thousands of dollars worth of equipment. The QUANSHENG was compared to a Yaesu. Guess what.. the QUANSHENG out performs the Yaesu. People can’t spread rumors that another radio manufacturer started. I have an Icom HT and compared them side by side and the QUANSHENG outperforms the Icom. People don’t like this and are trying to get rid of this radio if they can. Keep up the research on this unbelievable radio!!!73 73 73!!!
Hi John, I’ve seen a similar video. I think this little radio is class for the price and I don’t have anything bad to say about it. In fact, the RX is better than the FT4X on 2m. However I wouldn’t recommend transmitting out of its intended bands. Thanks for your comment. 73.
I use the Egzumer 0.21 fwr, very happy with the spectrum mode where you can have the strongest signal of a span of frequency pop up. Does this have a spectrum page?

Where are these tests? There are plenty of fake youtube videos. We rely on FCC certification tests to indicate filtering.

I’ve update to 2.6 R4 and it does transmit but I personally wouldn’t due to the Harmonics on other bands by doing so. Happy New Year Ian.

How do you change the modulation like FM to AM etc..
In VFO mode, hit “M” option 3 is Mode. You can also press and hold “0” (FM button)

There's a great Facebook group, just “Quansheng uv” lots of advice and links to download different versions of firmware.
@@M7BCN does one require a lead for the firmware im novice this this and starting out so keen to learn

Type in the required frequency and add a zero and it should input.

The stock antenna is designed for VHF/UHF and with very poor HF propagation, it’s never going to hear much on 10m.
