Saw Annie in The Tourists, a band before this, and could see in that little club what a massive star she was going to become. Thanks Annie and Dave for so much LOVE in the notes.
Recording or live...still excellent sound. As a musician myself, ANNIE LENNOX IS MY MENTOR. But I must add that I love her back-up Singer, she compliments Annie's voice perfectly.And of course I love Dave Stewart on guitar...beautiful riffs and maneuvers. The EURYTHMICS were ARE my favorite band . ANNIE LENNOX IS MY FAVORITE SINGER of all-time. Something about her brings Judy Garland to mind; by that i mean when it was just a Judy singing with that unique hair,strong voice and her unique hand gestures. ANNIE LENNOX IS PURE CLASS occupying her own special space and time in this world. I was surprised at how similar my songs sounded like hers matched with my guitar .Dave heard y demo & I can understand why my then manager set up an audition at which Dave was going to play lead. I decided to smoke a J & showed up 20 minutes late ' because I got lost in the East Village. I fired my manager whom I couldn't stand.My only regret was not being able to possibly meet ANNIE LENNOX.
Chicho Merchan is the Fucking Best Bass Player Ever! The man is a MASTER. He even play THE ENTIRE SONG TUNE in a single bass solo. Cool. Genius. Extraordinaire. Go Go Merchan! You ROCKS!
what I love about his playing is his attack, I could never do that myself on a bass. The attack that he keeps the entire concert through is so cool, makes the playing so punchy.
Think Annie Lennox and Freddie Mercury would av made a wonderful duet. Both powerful harmonious voices and genius talents,what a record it could have been!

Clem Burke's the drummer. He's also the drummer in Blondie.
And i think Dave's solos is probably the best part of this amazing performance! :)
