This brings up something else I haven't thought about with chickens. I know the Mama keeps them warm but does she feed them at all? Like mama birds feed their babies? I am so loving seeing these new babies, they come out so pretty not like naked little bird babies although I love them too. It doesn't seem like there's enough room under there, do they ever suffocate the babies? One of my favorite verses is Psalm 91:4 He shall cover you with his feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.(NKJV) I love the idea of the warmth and security being nestled close to his heart and the chicks to the mama's breast.
