I’ve noticed once I stopped being around people so much and so many i started realizing I stopped spending cause people had me spending frivolously just like them and not having to get the guilt trip from family and friends of being so frugal is so relieving . 5 10 15 20 multiple times a day on stuff you don’t need adds up quick at the end of the week. Being single helps big time too lol plus I’m working on building my business right now and don’t have any money to just be throwing away on things things that don’t serve me
Thank you for this Uncle Rom. 2 years ago I was at a 756 credit score and got approved for a 10,000 limit credit card. Long story short I got carried away and fast forward I’m working on those debts and paying bills. I’m more disciplined now. Just finding my way back to that financial freedom.
For all people, but especially for men, money is absolutely essential. And the older I get the stronger it's influence on my life. It affects almost everything in my life, especially relationships with other people. Thank you for sharing this positive message.
Every little bit helps. The overall picture is I do not want to be old and broke. I want to retire someday. Around the time I hit 40 I had enough money saved up to pay off my house. Now I can save even more out of my check. 401k also. But it all started with a plan. If you dont have a plan in place and you're not keeping up with your finances it can't happen. One big thing for me is I'm single with no kids. If youre single with no kids as a man you shoudn't be living paycheck to paycheck
One thing I found that work for me is saving 40 dollars from every pay check and putting it away and don't touch it till a rainy day or a minimal of 5 years.
@@darnellphillips4580 I agree. At 30 I moved to a new city, got my first 6 figure job, paid off a bunch of debt but I got my ass kicked by life even since then. Own a house and have a good career but I got a lot more work to do. Life is never smooth sailing
Rom, it ain’t easy now days. Seems like it’d be, you have to be on top of your game, making mistakes nowadays is less accepted, accountability comes fast with the digital aspect of life.
I save up at least $375/$475 per check. It’s growing like crazy!!

Aye I did the same thing. Extended myself too much. But practicing discipline now
I tried saving money by keeping some loose change in my room but it ended getting stolen that's when I realised the importance of a bank account

People will also hold the check on purpose because the company, etc, has struggles and may sacrifice your paycheck to stay afloat.
I go by the 10 percent rule. Ive got my money up
Wish I had access to this type of information when I started working at 16. Great advice.
This is common sense
I'm trying to put up 40% of my pay the next 10 years.

Once you hit thirty you should have no idea when pay day is.
Everyone’s journey is different, but by then you should figure out what you wanna do in life
I must have missed the memo cuz I ain’t rich yet I still rely on paychecks

Do you suggest opening a separate savings account from your checking?
Definitely have something separate.
