I would like to know how you chose a bullet weight for 600y distances. I know you can hit with 155 out there but why choose 185, 200, or 208? Wind? I have a tikka 20" barrel that is 1:11 twist. I would like to develop a load using a heavier bullet besides 168. Not sure why as my range max is 600. Maybe to have a great load incase I ever get to a range with a greater distance.
I choose a weight based on throat length, barrel length and twist, your description rules out the 200s already and probably the 185, unless u get the 185 otm, but I would try 155 and work up a load to 2980 fps close to vv n140 46.0, vv n150 46.5, or varget 46.2. I would not bother with 168 or 175s.
Because of the short barrel you wont have enough velocity to get all the bc of the 185s, so you will be wasting your money by using them, 155s are very forgiving and you can achieve decent velocities, but 20” barrel is very limiting. After a while get a rifle with 28”-30” barrel.

Im shooting these same 208gr projectiles from my 300WM with .21inch 6 shot groups @ 100yrds. These berger bullets shoot amazing.

Yes i got some federal match now. Hope it works flawlessly, I cant test it now since the range is closed due to covid.

were you shooting the 208g hybrids in a .308 ifso what velocity you run them,

Yes 308 win, i did not have a chrono but i suspect low 2600s
Ps be careful, the brass wont last either with that load, and you want lots of freebore. But work ur load up be safe.
Thoughts on the 208s for a 22” 1:10 with 4895? Or should I stick with the 185s?
Your better off staying with 185s, even if ur freebore was long, you wouldnt get ideal velocities.
