Sadly Maul is dead at this point. He died during Rebels Twin Suns episode in his final confrontation against Kenobi. I think Starkiller or Bariss Offee due to her being a loose end from Ahsokas past. Which I heard in an interview with either Rosario or Dave saying that there is a loose end in this series. Plus Starkiller is op so they would have to nerf him.

It’s interesting that you questioned the choice to NOT mention Kanan but also question why they DID include Jacen. And don’t forget Kanan was only blind for a brief time in the series of which he was conflicted about how to “see”. The “slow” training sequence is set to be in contrast to the “active” learn from the battle sequence. They are finding their common language.
I think Kanan was blind for about 2 years, maybe slightly less, before he died. That includes Kanan training Sabine to use the Darksaber while he was blind, so it should have been clear to her that he was capable.
Seatos - as in the sea, where whales live. Beings from Seatos would be called Seatosian, which is similar sounding to cetacean - the family of marine mammals that includes dolphins, porpoises, and whales.
I think it’s okay that she used the lightsaber well in the first episode because she’s still a Mandalorian and has incredible combat abilities. It just happened that her opponent had a lightsaber so she needed one too.
Baylan & Shin aren’t Sith, they are mercenaries. Baylan is a former Jedi who does whatever he wants, serves the highest bidder. Baylan seems to follow a lot of Jedi practices as well, like having an apprentice with a padwaan braid. Love you guys, but you gotta catch up on your canon. Maul and Ventress are both dead at this point the the timeline. Ventress sacrificed herself to save Voss and Maul died fighting Obi-Wan in Rebels 😊
the best way to look at the whole galaxy thing is like this (and some terminology interchanges) -Our Sun is a star, and we rotate around it, that is called a Solar System, or a planetary system (sol is sun). -Our Solar System is part of a galaxy of solar systems that rotate around the center of our galaxy. Closer to the center are Core systems, The edge systems are called Outer rim, and everything in between is a mid rim system. Also, a Galaxy can be referred to as a star system. Much like how a planetary system is all the planets that rotate around that star, a star system is all the stars that rotate around that central grouping of stars. -Outside of our galaxy there are many other galaxies each with the same idea of solar systems in them and the distance between each galaxy is vast. This overall system of galaxies is called the Cosmos (and yes it's what the show Cosmos is about). Hope that helped.
Ezra could definitely make sense. He travelled with Thrawn, made it back, was found by Morgan, she bewitches him to tell her how to get Thrawn back and make him work for her. The witches of Dathomir have been shown to bewitch and control people (even Jedi). Sabine’s big arc could be saving him from the sunken place. She would finally learn how to connect with others through the force just like Ezra learned how to connect with the living force via animals in Rebels.
Anyone can weild a lightsaber and Sabine was trained in lightsaber/darksaber combat, so she'll be good at that, although a little rusty, but to use the force it will take a lot of training and depend on how well and naturally attuned you are as to how good you are will it, so episode 3 doesn't take away from Sabine's actions in episode in 1 and 2.
If they are going to do Starkiller it would be a shame for him to be this like tier 4 villain/sidekick to the sidekick’s sidekick. If they do him it needs to be a huge reveal with none of the secrecy/teasing stuff
Star Systems is: We are in the SOl Star System, Alpha Centauri is another STar System. The Rim would be the arms of the galaxy, the core would be near the center of the galaxy.
21:26 they already did explain what’s wrong with Sabine. “She’s too Mandalorian.” Whatever aspect about Mandalorian culture it is, it doesn’t vibe well with Jedi training and the Force. Possibly the very rigid Spartan nature of Mandalorian culture. They’re warriors. They’re aggressive because aggression makes them strong and is how they protect their people. The Force, especially from a Jedi perspective, is the total opposite of that. You have to be at peace with yourself, calm, free of emotions and passions, and then you can feel the Force. Mandalorian’s are the total opposite of that. I’d argue that a Mandalorian would actually make a very powerful Sith. Because those aspects of Mandalorian culture already lend themselves to how a Sith draws power from the Force. But for Sabine, while her Mandalorian upbringing makes her martially very competent, it inhibits her from accessing a Jedi’s true strength in the Force. This is why when Sabine does figure out the Force she makes a great candidate to be the next Mand’alore. As then she would combine the culture and martial prowess of the Mandalorians, with the temperament of the Jedi, and the strength of the Force.
They didn't diss Kanan. Sabine was just asking "How am _I_ going to fight without seeing?" Kanan was in touch with the force and she knew that but since she still does not feel it she probably does not see that as a possibility for herself.
Teaming up with a Dathomir witch seems to be the pattern here. Even in the game Kal is teamed up with one. And let’s not forget our dathomir jedi Ventris

if you are asking about the head tails they are called Lekku. As for the genetics of things. genetics are funny because it can be very random. So based on what we have seen a human and twi'lek can have a kid that looks almost entirely human, its also possible that they can have a child that is almost entirely twi'lek looking. presumably you can get a kid that looks like they are literally half human half twi'lek. it all depends on what genes that kid gets and how those genes interact with each other. certain genes might be more dominant and others might be more ressesive. genetics is a mess that is hard enough to figure out in real life where we are only mating with other humans. that said there are actual hybrid species we can look to for inspireation such as Ligers and Tigons. and from what i have seen it is pretty diverse as i mentioned above. my favorite is the the liger that looks nearly identical to a tiger with paler colors except that it has a giant lions mane. so it was really interesting.
There are 4 species the rakatan “created” from legends, these species can interbreed and take traits from either parent. Twi’Lek and Humans are 2 of these 4, and I will agree they made him looks mainly human. In the anime show he had kind of splotchy skin but it WAS mainly the inhuman colored hair that showed his mix lineage. So they could have done better but he probably has several twi’lek traits as well
To be fair to Sabine, kanan was a trained Jedi who fill access to the force, Sabine is a rookie padawan learner. Like she is just starting out. That reaction may be a bit from feeling like she's being thrown in the deep end and told to swim without even having learned to float in water yet. Sure she knows people can do it and she's seen people do it, but she's still so new and apparently poor at it that she isn't sure how she's expected to do it

Twi’leks in legends were created based off humans so that could explain Jacen if they adapt legends. Riccotans were the ones that did it and they mentioned them in Andor
Even if she was just trying to get resources to search for Ezra you still have to consider that one of your highly decorated generals is sounding a warning about a take bad dude,v your should at least be somewhat cautious. Just because someone may have an ulterior motive that doesn't mean you don't investigate if they are sounding a bomb threat. That doesn't mean you send in an entire taskforce but send in some people to investigate and confirm that it really is just a false alarm. Not confirming is irresponsible
I feel the same about Hera. I am not mad about the amount of Hera in this. It’s not about Her!! Lol maybe if there were more I would feel better about the live action version but I’m not sold on this portrayal as of yet. A plus for Jaden not looking like a little animated monster child lol
I understand that not everyone knows everything, but I don't see how darth maul could possibly be a likely character to appear considering that he died in rebels season 3. This is essentially a continuation of rebels, so I think it's worth knowing some key episodes from that show. Secondly, you seem to not understand that this isn't contradicting midichlorians, no matter how much you hate them. Ahsoka is saying that talent (midichlorians, or natural ability if you're scared of that word) is a factor, but also, or in spite of this, training and focus are still a path towards the same skills. She's saying this because Sabine asked "why doesn't everyone use it?", and the reason is not just a binary response as some people think. It's not that only the 10,000 jedi of the republic could ever use the force. It's also not that everyone can just simply use the force, and they just never bothered to try or something. It's that for some, like the people selected by the jedi order, using the force comes more easily (but is still difficult, and it's the dicipline of and commitment to the jedi way which allows them to control it). While for others, it takes an even stronger commitment, a commitment to learning to do something with potentially no noticable results for a long time. Remember, most people in the galaxy haven't even seen a jedi, let alone lived with 2 or 3 jedi for multiple years of their life, and watched one of them learn to control the force over the course of 4 years. Most people don't realise what it takes for someone who is naturally talented like Ezra to do this, let alone someone like themself who is not naturally talented. And even if they know what it takes, they still have to actually put in that work to get to the goal. This is why very few people use the force.
In Clone wars one of the clones had two kids with a twi'lek. The male was more human than the female I think? The daughter had lekka and twi'lek ears but mostly human coloring.
22:30 Baylan and Shin aren’t Sith. Sith is a specific religion of the Force. To “qualify” as a Sith you need to adhere to the specific Sith principles and beliefs. Same with Jedi. Baylan and Shin don’t believe the “doctrine” of the Sith, so they aren’t Sith. They’re just Dark Side Force users. In this same way Ahsoka isn’t a Jedi because she doesn’t adhere to the “doctrine” of the Jedi.
Definitely one of the worst wookieleaks Maude’s accent is terrible (Ashokar) and John knows less than me about this stuff hopefully they get another panel
I thought most synth apprenticeships were based on patience and grit to take shit from their master until they're strong enough to kill them. Maybe its different since they're based on jedi kinship?
1:49 I’m also not a fan of the shorter episodes. I get that Dave wants to do his thing, faster more energy or whatever, but even with those animated seasons, we got like 12-20 episodes per season, not 8. If we’re gonna do this 8 episode season thing over and over again we gotta fill it with some content not just 30 minutes then credits. I loved the episode but damn we should be getting more if we only get 8 episodes per season
I like Maude as a person but she really brings the vibes down with her negativity 😅 New Rockstars is historically great bc they don’t get into the nitpicking etc so much.
I think it's a much needed contrast to some of the other members on the show. It's also more constructive criticism than anything else, not dogging on the show 🤷
@@VespaTTV I mean I don’t need constructive criticism from new rockstars personally lol. Criticism is everywhere I just want to celebrate fandom and Easter eggs etc. but even putting that aside it’s like every other sentence is a nitpick so it starts to wade away from constructive
************* Spoiler abour Maul for Clones wars, Rebels and Solo ******************* ************* ************* ************* ************* Maul and crimson tide are before Endor, when Maul rules Mandalore.... Maul was killed by Kenobi
Child actors can’t work nearly as many hours as adult actors because of those pesky child labor laws, I bet they just wanted to maximize their filming time with the Jason actor and twilek makeup would take a lot of time
Are they Star Wars fans or not. Maul died in revels bruh like damn. He ain’t showing up 15+ yrs laters. Sabine didn’t leave her training Ahsoka left her. George has said before the force is in every living thing and every living thing can wield the force just some more talented than others and some have to work hard for it and this isn’t nothing new. Sabine force sensitive was implied in rebels. It’s just she isn’t strong in it.
Sadly the council thing was just too realistic to politics in the real world. Almost everyone sticking their heads in the sand. Looooved Hera's shot at that guy tho about probably waiting to see who xame out on top.
I find it mad that these people have a job to talk about these shows but have such a lack of knowledge on simple stuff like maul having died already or the fact huyang is talking about her force ability nit that she csnt fight with a saber we already know she can saber fight
Kanan was my favorite character from rebels, the Sabine training scene definitely rubbed me the wrong way. We had to watch rebels to under stand the show but we forget about the main characters?
My gripe is that Ahsoka tells Sabine her Mando tools won't be enough against these enemies and Sabine responds I learned that the hard way and points to her scar, even tho she didn't have any of her Mando gear on at the time??? Point is Kanan told her this same thing in Trials of the Darksaber. The more logical response would have been, "You know you aren't the first one to tell me that." Or something alluding to Kanan.
So regarding the force, and one's ability to use it; Dave is not goimg against the midichlorians here. In fact, he's strengthening it. When we get to see the Jedi Order before the purge, we see they value high midichlorian counts, because it means the children they rip from their families can be trained easier. They have an stronger connection to the force, and thus an easier time learning how to control it. Ahsoka is abandoning that practice and ignoring the fact that Sabine likely doesn't have a high Midichlorian count to instead train Sabine to use the force in whatever ways she can. Keep in mind, Midichlorians are the Mitochondria of Star Wars. Whether you are born with a high count or have to train and increase your count (like many athletes do with their Mitochondria), you will be more capable than those less fortunate or less determined. There's a good Film Theory video on it.
How do athletes train to increase their mitochondrias? Midichodrias are an organelle within each individual cell. Which everyone has Trillions of throughout their bodies. When athletes do strength training like lifting weights they are strengthening muscle cells through proteins, not increasing the numbers of actual cells or mitochondria. I understand the metaphors u were trying to make with the force, but you cant just increase your M count in real life, and I don’t think you can in Star Wars either. You train to improve what you have been given naturally.
I usually really enjoy your content… you guys got so many details about the history of Star Wars wrong it just became irritating to listen to the conversation. Also the training montage ( not a montage, just a scene ), is not tedious. You are really complaining about a scene showing Jedi training? A scene showing so much… where Sabine is at, how Ahsoka goes about training a padawan, an homage to a scene from A New Hope… I don’t get your complaints at all. People have complained in the past that the Mandalorian and other Star Wars shows feel rushed… now in Ahsoka we get more scenes between characters about their relationships and the Force, get time to breathe, and people complain it’s slow. I really hate Star Wars fandom sometimes. Not surprisingly, I loved the episode and enjoyed it very much
Sooooo, how do you know they are sith??? None of the episodes have said definitively that they are Sith, just that they ARE NOT Jedi. Bad points from muade again
Maul was killed by Obi Wan in Rebels. He's dead at the time of the Ahsoka series.
What about night sister magick when they came back and possessed Sabine and kanan could maul do it
Obi Wan burried Maul on Tatooine in the desert. Unless someone wants to sift through the planet, I think he's a Maul mummy.

Question when does rebels and ahsoka take place in star wars uni.
Yes, Maul and Ventress are dead. But are they?
Like Maude said before N.E.R.D. = No One Ever Really Dies
Noerd
Ahsoka said "it's (the force) a talent, time and develop?"
Grogu should train Sabine and vice versus?
Huyang being representative to those on the spectrum is very accurate, I relate to him.
Sigh. Starkiller was Vader’s apprentice. Mara Jade was Palp’s assassin.
I’m pretty sure that Hera is at least showing up to this Battle, there is a trailer of her in Ghost saying once a Rebel always a Rebel
In Clone wars one of the clones had two kids with a twi'lek. The male was more human than the female I think? The daughter had lekka and twi'lek ears but mostly human coloring.
My son is on the Autism Spectrum so I had a good laugh at the "there are no lies" comment as that is so true! Thoughts to mouth with no filter at all
22:30 Baylan and Shin aren’t Sith.
Can't be Maul. Maul was killed Obi Wan in Rebels which was a perfect end. I can't picture Witwer or Feloni signing off on bring him back to life.
Maul is dead at this point, Maude must not have seen the finale of Rebels, where he confronts obi wan.
I thought most synth apprenticeships were based on patience and grit to take shit from their master until they're strong enough to kill them. Maybe its different since they're based on jedi kinship?
The Mando Season 2 Finale was the episode where Luke showed up
Maul is definitely dead.
I like Maude as a person but she really brings the vibes down with her negativity 😅
New Rockstars is historically great bc they don’t get into the nitpicking etc so much.
"we're doing a Rebels recap!", love the channel, but if you were doing it properly, you'd know Maul is dead
there's a clone wars episode and a bad batch episode about a clone who has children with a twi'lek. their kids have lekku.
What if they are trying to trap a purrgill with the hyperspace ring to ride it to their destination
************* Spoiler abour Maul for Clones wars, Rebels and Solo *******************

Maul and crimson tide are before Endor, when Maul rules Mandalore.... Maul was killed by Kenobi
Nice save editors 😅😅 46:40
Can someone “Nicely” remind me the color significance for all the lightsabers?😂😅
Dislike for not knowing Maul and Ventress are dead.
Child actors can’t work nearly as many hours as adult actors because of those pesky child labor laws, I bet they just wanted to maximize their filming time with the Jason actor and twilek makeup would take a lot of time
Star system is the same thing as a solar system. Planets and planetary objects orbiting one star.
Maude back. Thank you!
Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤
I wonder how many of the scenes from this show are just going to be retreads of previous Star Wars content?
Are they Star Wars fans or not. Maul died in revels bruh like damn. He ain’t showing up 15+ yrs laters. Sabine didn’t leave her training Ahsoka left her. George has said before the force is in every living thing and every living thing can wield the force just some more talented than others and some have to work hard for it and this isn’t nothing new. Sabine force sensitive was implied in rebels. It’s just she isn’t strong in it.
You might want to make it less obvious that none of you watch the videos on the main NR channel
2 thumbs down, a couple of casuals speculating on dead characters who are gonna appear. Might as well as get Mike Zeroh on here to spread propanganda
Sadly the council thing was just too realistic to politics in the real world. Almost everyone sticking their heads in the sand. Looooved Hera's shot at that guy tho about probably waiting to see who xame out on top.
She’s the ONLY Night Sister.
38:50 it’s a dolphin thing.
Can I hear your fridge in the background? Like a deep hummm
Maude and Star Wars belong together.
Felt like this episode had a lot of story problems.
came here from twitch to say i love maude!
It’s weird. I’m watching these but they don’t feel like episodes. I feel like I’m watching mini movies.
Hera do gotta nice booty in those pilot pants 🥰 Kanen gonna come back to life and him and Obi wan gonna have to fight for that one 😂
Maude is so good in this review.
Ahhhhh, Maude
I find it mad that these people have a job to talk about these shows but have such a lack of knowledge on simple stuff like maul having died already or the fact huyang is talking about her force ability nit that she csnt fight with a saber we already know she can saber fight
I think they are saving things. I'm excited!
We need Boba Fett
A star system is the same as the solar system. Duh.
Star wars theory snips fleece....
Maul and obi wan are way dead at this point
Lack of star wars knowledge is awful
Marrok is so clearly a male 🤦♂️
I've seen this story before. There's no way Voldemort could be back...... oh wait, wrong series.
Not surprisingly, I loved the episode and enjoyed it very much
Why do people keep calling Kylo Ren a Sith? He wasn't. Look at his eyes and you can see that.
Comment👍
Sooooo, how do you know they are sith??? None of the episodes have said definitively that they are Sith, just that they ARE NOT Jedi. Bad points from muade again
