I never watch the food network anymore, their new formula of wall to wall "Dance for me monkey boy" shows are highly unappealing, I occasionally do watch the cooking channel when they do re-runs of Good eats, but that's about it. I would like to see the stars come together and make a channel that actually has to do with cooking, NOT competition! And no more Guy Fieri!!
Too much competition, ridiculous twists and Guy F. Dumped Food Network a few years ago and will never go back. Love The Great British Baking show for competitions. They know how to do it!
Food network seems to be leaning towards competition shows in stead of instruction shows. So now I watch PBS for instructions shows. I don’t mind competition just not all the time.
I used to be a HUGE fan of the FN … I watched because of Instructional Cooks … once the “competition” shows began to dominate their programming … I left … I haven’t watched the FN in 6-7 years … CreateTV is what I prefer now.
The Food Network should change their name to the challenges network featuring some food. I only tune in for the few remaining shows where they actually do cook.
#1. Guy Ferry/Fieri #2. Paula Deen making a huge public announcement that she has Type 2 diabetes. Then immediately became a spokesperson for the pharma industry. Sleazy!!!!
Food Network has gone in a direction that doe not appeal to me, I only watch a couple of their shows, and I will not watch 1 single drama infused competition show. After all, sharing cooking techniques, recipes is what cooking is all about. America Test Kitchen is for me the best cooking show on television.
Made it what it is today?!?! I think you mean made it what it was, and what we wish it could be again. What it is now is nowhere what LeGasse helped make it. 😢
Food Network started sucking in 2001 when they dumped the original Japanese version of "Iron Chef" and Anthony Bourdain's first series "A Cook's Tour". The pathetic reason Food Network gave for the cancelations was that they wanted to be an All-American network. No foreign programmes. No travel programmes. Food Network, you STILL SUCK!
I remember when the "food" network HAD cooking shows. Now EVERY program has been turned into a competition show that educates NO ONE except feed the insatiable hunger for repetition. It's SO BORING now, because every show is about competition. Julia Child herself would be canned by today's "food" network. I blame that idiot Gordon Ramsey who sold the network on a show where crappy cooks crank out meals to be reviewed by ONE OVEREXPOSED man.
Most of these are from a while ago, so they probably just needed to refresh the lineup after a while... if it was mostly recent people let go it would have probably been because they needed more time slots for Guy Fieri and cooking competition shows.
I'm not going to say goodbye because goodbye is too final, instead I'll just say it in a foreign language so I sound more interesting. What a douche, and I love that guy
12 stars who lef food network. let that sink in folk as food network moved away frum actual cookin 2 gettin complete idiots an borin personalities to parade competition shows. celebrity chef isnt an actual chef.
I gave up TV about 8 years ago, but never cared for Sandra Lee. Rachael Ray was overexposed. Giada also not a favorite. Any of FN I may want to seem8s right here and I get to set the schedule. TBH, I miss the instructional programs. Everything now is a competition.
Food Network is a total flop anymore, if I want to watch game shows I’ll watch game show network. I miss learning how to make meals either I didn’t know how to make, or things I’ve never heard of.
Stupid competition shows. “I find your food too salty”. Same cook later “where’s the salt? I’m missing it! And now a twist you have to cook with Himalayan salt to add to your dessert.
Food network was never the same after Emeril left. Each time Food Network cuts a great chef, they replace it with something second rate. The competition concept is just dull. Everything is just the competition and not about the food. When Food Network goes back to making the food the focus, then it will be a great network again. In the meantime, I'll find another network that really likes food.
Would you like to see any of these stars come together with their own cooking channel?
Yes some of them
I never watch the food network anymore, their new formula of wall to wall "Dance for me monkey boy" shows are highly unappealing, I occasionally do watch the cooking channel when they do re-runs of Good eats, but that's about it. I would like to see the stars come together and make a channel that actually has to do with cooking, NOT competition! And no more Guy Fieri!!
I don’t even watch Food Network anymore. It used to be one of my go to channels.
I hate the way food network is all competitive game shows! It doesn’t have any real content anymore! Food network now sucks!
Too much Guy Fieri as well
I used to be a HUGE fan of the FN … I watched because of Instructional Cooks … once the “competition” shows began to dominate their programming … I left … I haven’t watched the FN in 6-7 years … CreateTV is what I prefer now.
Love Alton Brown and Sara Moulton. The best ❤❤
There was an early show called TASTE that was GOOD EATS before Alton Brown that was very good. Another that just one day disappeared.
I don’t watch it anymore. Hate the competition shows. Loved Sara Molton
The Food Network should change their name to the challenges network featuring some food. I only tune in for the few remaining shows where they actually do cook.
Doesn't Alton Brown have Good Eats Redone on either Food Network or the Cooking Channel? And What about Iron Chef America?
#1. Guy Ferry/Fieri
#2. Paula Deen making a huge public announcement that she has Type 2 diabetes. Then immediately became a spokesperson for the pharma industry. Sleazy!!!!
Simply Ming is a great show
Food Network is painful to watch now. The "game shows" are garbage.
You forgot the galloping gourmet.
Did these chefs/people leave or were they fired? Big difference!
VB didn't "LEAVE" the Food Network. They sacked her for $$ reasons...
Emeril has a show on roku
Never liked Down-home With the Nealy’s 😢😢😢
I don’t enjoy most of The Food Network shows anymore. I really dislike the competition shows most of all.
I don't watch TV anymore at all.
My husband did like Sara Moultin and Alton Brown.
Name it the Guy Fieri network. Sick of him

Now a game show network I rarely watch.
Food Network has gone in a direction that doe not appeal to me, I only watch a couple of their shows, and I will not watch 1 single drama infused competition show. Amazing
WHAT A STUPID DECISION TO GO TO CUPCAKE/COOKING COMPETITIONS
Teaching is what we need
😉
Aren't some of them leaving to join a life style channel
Made it what it is today?!?!
I think you mean made it what it was, and what we wish it could be again. What it is now is nowhere what LeGasse helped make it. 😢

I rarely watch food network any more! Boring!
Hope they rethink their competition format, and go back to teaching.
Paula Deen here could have been Tammy Fay Baker’s BFF …
i miss cutthroat kitchen
Chopped Cheaters !😢😢😢

They aren’t worth watching anymore.
"Two shots of vodka"
Most of these are from a while ago, so they probably just needed to refresh the lineup after a while... if it was mostly recent people let go it would have probably been because they needed more time slots for Guy Fieri and cooking competition shows.
Stopped watching because i hate game shows
I don't like the changes with all the competitions instead of cooking shows when my year is up I won't renew
I'm not going to say goodbye because goodbye is too final, instead I'll just say it in a foreign language so I sound more interesting. What a douche, and I love that guy

@user-fv5yo5fi5c chef ramsay wouldnt work w/ food network. 😅😅😅
How petty! Fire the Blatant Real offenders
I gave up TV about 8 years ago, but never cared for Sandra Lee. Rachael Ray was overexposed. Giada also not a favorite. Any of FN I may want to seem8s right here and I get to set the schedule. TBH, I miss the instructional programs. Everything now is a competition.
Food Network stinks
Don't know who watches the FN anymore. These stupid competition shows don't do it for me anymore.
Food Network is a total flop anymore, if I want to watch game shows I’ll watch game show network. I miss learning how to make meals either I didn’t know how to make, or things I’ve never heard of.
I miss all the trade shows. No variety anymore. I also never watch Bobby anymore. He has too many shows. He is arrogant.
Stupid competition shows. “I find your food too salty”. Same cook later “where’s the salt? I’m missing it! And now a twist you have to cook with Himalayan salt to add to your dessert.
There's a huge difference between food being too salty and food not having enough salt or no salt at all.
Food Network isn’t good anymore. I used to watch all the time. Now there’s nothing worth watching.
Food network was never the same after Emeril left. Each time Food Network cuts a great chef, they replace it with something second rate. The competition concept is just dull. I don't watch the channel anymore
Simply Ming is a great program
