What do you think about these mysteries? What do you think the answers ultimately are?
I think her mom could possibly be the local Nurse Joy.
Don't forget about Whitney and lacey love pokemon to be cute
Lacey's mom is a time traveler, creating a paradox lol
There might be one thing connecting Lacy and Elisa. It's a stretch, but at 6 mins you had a pic of both of them side by side. And I noticed the antennas(?), accessories (?) or whatever that are on Elisa's headset are interesting colors. One side is red, and the other is blue. What colors are Plusle and Minun? Red and Blue. When it comes to the Past Johto game and future Unova game there is something pointing to it. The Paradox Beasts and S.o.J. Why did the beasts get past forms, and the swords get future forms? I think it would be foolish to dismiss Past Johto and Future Unova games because of those forms.
Isn’t it obviously Tulip? Look at the identical wing accessories Lacey has on her arms, along with the similar color hairstyles
Lacey's brown eyebrows also imply that she dyes her hair pink, and it's naturally brown like Clay's.
Thank you! I thought it was just me 😅
No no. Pink is simply Light Brown and it's natural. Duh. Like Kieran is a natural purple head.
There are people irl who have different color eyebrows from their hair that is natural
@@madnessarcade7447 oh, I didn't know that.
Maybe, but since Lian also has pink hair, it seems more likely that pink hair runs in the family and Clay just didn't get it. Or, alternatively and funnier, he dyes his hair brown lol
With Lacey, you'd think they'd mention if her mom is a gym leader too, considering they specifically mention that her dad is one.
Yeah that's another point of contention for me. Elesa's more popular than Clay and has her own brand of influence/notoriety, but there's only ever explicit reference to Lacey's father.
Yeah I’m not really sure why Lacey’s mom can’t just be, like, a regular person we’ve never met
@@shanemiller1182 very true but you know how Pokémon fans get at least some of them, no one likes the mystery of ONLY knowing about 1 character's Parent
Eeeeeh, why did we decide that Lacey’s mom was a character we’d know at all, let alone a gym leader? Unless I’m mistaken, whenever characters have named family or ancestors, we really only see one. Like a mom, but not the dad, or like one ancestor.
Exactly!! Why can't her mom just be a simple NPC with nothing extraordinary or special going on, and would prefer to keep her life that way?
Exactly what I'm thinking
Was about to comment this myself
My thoughts exactly. All we seem to know is she might be a model. Probably a rival to Elesa.
Because just Poketubers need to BS content because they have run out of ideas.
Here's an amazing theory... Maybe Lacey's mum is just a normal npc? Everything doesn't always have to connect, it just makes the world feel smaller if everyone is connected to everyone.
Thank you!
I think that is more plausible, besides we don't know how far (if at all) in the future S/V is from B/W(2) but there seems to be a pretty big age gap between Clay and any speculated candidates given that he seems pretty middle age compared to most gym leaders brought up that seem to be in their teens or twenties. Not that such romances can't happen but I'd think it'd be more plausible if he was already married at the time in B/W and it's just not brought up rationally speaking.
Norman also works as a gym leader in another town away from Littkeroot where family lives too. So its not that odd of a situation. Also besides the hairclips Lacey also shares wearing bow like ribbons tied on her outfit like Clay's ancestor Lian does on his arms too. That and she has Clay's eyebrow shape and eyecolor.
Agreed. And in regards to who her mother could be, the best I and many others have come to ahead is thinking that Clay found someone of note in Nimbasa City. It could be someone of a normal profession or even a model (for those who still believe in that), but not Elesa in any way.
@@GoinGreninja Heck, it could be the mother was originally from Driftveil, but divorced Clay and moved with Lacey to Nimbasa. That would actually be quite narratively compelling; Clay frequently mentions his devotion to business expansion, yet also sits at the bottom of the mine to remind himself when he had nothing. If his wife did leave him and took Lacey, that doubles down on his introspection whilst also motivating him to start looking past his business and reconnect with his daughter.
@@ES-dp6tw I actually quite like this idea. Who knows if it's true, but it'd be great if true, that's for sure!
@@ES-dp6tw I also thought that Laceys mom being divorced from Clay would be a valid option for why she lives in Nimbasa, but I feel if that were the case, if he really neglected his family for his work so much so that his wife divorced him, Lacey would have at least some negative reference towards him, but she seems to have no problems whenever someone brings him up, a good few other people in the terarium mention it as well iirc implying she never spoke up against it, and she also still uses the same ace as he does, implying some degree of admiration, so... that seems more unlikely to me.
Perfectly fair. It’s only conjecture right now, so his wife may simply have felt Nimbasa was a bettered place for Lacey to grow up rather than bustling Driftveil.
I feel that Lacey's mom is actually Driftvail's Nurse Joy, think about it.
1: Clay and Joy work close to each other, plus he sees her a lot.
2: They're both adults, I mean Witney is still around 13 to 16 when she was in Driftvail.
3: Fairy-type Pokemon seem more like the caring type that would heal someone.
Not impossible, and within reason that Joy could've moved to Nimbasa to give Lacey a better environment than Driftveil's busybody workloads.
also, if the fairy typing NEEDs to be something she gets from her mom somehow, audinos mega is a fairy type i believe
@@To-New-Beginnings. they said NOT impossible
@@chriskagamine358 I didn't say anything yet.
@@To-New-Beginnings. I think I commented under the wrong comment. There was a comment that someone said "not impossible" and someone replied that the first person said "impossible"
Oh her mom could just be a NPC we haven't seen, it's not unheard of
Honestly that seems most likely to me. Elesa's one of BW's most popular characters, I couldn't imagine them missing a beat to directly reference her especially if she has had a kid, but only Lacey's father is given any genuine focus.
Yeah it might be.
Came here to say her mom could just be some nothing-special NPC who prefers to keep life simple and herself out of the spotlight.
I don't see why Lacey's mom HAS to be some other important character. She's most likely just some random lady. I feel like the game would've mentioned her if she mattered at all, like they did with Clay.
I think that since Lacey is from Nimbasa her style could be influenced by Elesa since shes a model and definitely popular with girls and fashion :)
Far more plausible.
There's no way Whitney can be Lacey's mother. She's a teenager! And in BW2 she's still seen to be the same age as in HGSS, while Clay is clearly much older. Even if time has passed enough for Whitney to grow up, it would be really weird and I doubt Game Freak would put that in the game
But what's the time gap between BW2 and Scarlet and Violet?
Plus Whitney also have the same shaped hair clips as Lacey if u look closely and their coats also only have 3 buttons
@@matigamer329 If in BW2 the age difference was already massive, it won't shrink no matter how far you go forward. Even if she was 20ish and he was in his 50s it would be strange and off putting.
There's no way she's a teenager. She was a teenager 3 years after Red and Blue were preteens in Gen I, and Red and Blue were adults in Gen VII. Whitney has to be in her thirties by now.
Still a massive age gap so game freak wouldn't do it
Or Lacey’s mum is a random NPC. These theories are too wild and bat sh!t crazy.
Yeah maybe it is the case
@@RoyArkon idk why people so bloody obsessed with making sh!t theories
@@phoenixblade8315 It's because in simple terms, people want things to be interconnected, especially in a story, either for simplicity's sake or just because it's cool. While it makes sense to have some connections here and there, having too many may make people think that the story they're telling is way smaller in scope or just made out of pure contrivance, which is to say, it's not good writing form. That's why sometimes it's best to assume that some characters just come from unknown or unremarkable parents.
@@GoinGreninja I do agree with the aspect of getting people to engage but then this births wild theories which do not make sense at all. Neither of the proposed characters are likely to the mother. It’s like Gordie’s father, we don’r need to know.
@@phoenixblade8315it’s the one that results the most clicks. Family ties and shipping
I found this video quite surprising considering their past ones, there was way more to talk about for gen 9 than…Lacey’s mom for half of the video (I didn’t watch this part lmao)
Lacey also has the signature brown eyes. I think she'll be the daughter of a fairy unovan trainer because this is the first time we'll be in unova since fairies were added
Remember, pokemon trainers don't get both parents. Dw about Lacey's mom
Let's also mention the huge age gap between Clay and Elesa and no mention of having a gym leader/model mother.
From a visual perspective it's heavily implied Tulip is related to Lacey.
Lacey's arm bands match the butterfly flair of Tulip's outfit. The purplish-pink color of Lacey's coat is the same color as Tulip's dress. They both have green/teal accent pieces. And the brighter pink of Lacey's hair matches the brighter pink accents on Tulip's fit.
Lacey's mom has got it goin' on
She's all I want and I've waited for so long
I was looking for this comment LOL
Damn, beat me to it 😂
Freaking hive mind, I had the same idea😂
I'm pretty sure that Lacey has dyed her hair because when you look at her eyebrows they are brown and actually a similar color to Lian's hair.. Obviously we've never seen a character dye their hair before but its a pretty common trope in media to show someone's original hair color with their eyebrows. It also makes sense that she would dye her hair pink considering how much she loves fairy types. But that's just my opinion.
even her eyebrows are relatively thick like his father
Actually... There's a character who obviously dyed her hair, which is Elisa. That's one more point the Elisa theorists stand.
See, Elisa is a fasion model. In BW she has blonde hair and in BW2 she has Black hair. To be honest, we don't even know if either of those colors is her natural hair color.
This can also explain why Elisa looks nothing like Lacey even if she's her mother, because she's a fashion model, she is made to look beautiful thus can look a bit different to her family.
Next game she'll be confused about her own gender too with the direction she's going 😭
@@hhjan594 We at least know Elesa's natural colour is blonde, since supplementary material references her changing hair colour to be part of her dramatic reimaging. But frankly it'd be odd that Lacey's overall colours don't align with Elesa; a darker shade of brown than her father and a more yellowish shade that doesn't line up with Elesa's blue. Not impossible, but odd.
She has pink/purple eyebrows, they're just really dark.
One other thing for Plusle and Minun. Is that they're conventionally "cute" which Lacey is all about
Tbh, lately game freak has been using every pokemon game as a beta test for the next game. Wouldn’t be surprised that they’re doing so much Unova content here to lighten the load for development of a Unova remake
I think Lacey’s mom is just a random npc, everyone doesn’t have to be connected to someone important
Honestly the only reason I want to know the identity of Lacey’s mother, is because Clay in both games came off as a stern and incredibly busy. Lacey’s mom must have been someone special to catch his eye enough to have a kid out of town in Nimbasa
Lacy is obviously Fennel’s daughter. Lab coat, fondness for “cute” Pokémon (Fennel and Munna), and Fennel being a scientist/inventor would pair naturally with a businessman/investor like Clay.
That was my first thought too 😮
. If anything it’s probably Elissa’s older sister or character who we haven’t been introduced to yet that is who her mom is
Could well be Clay had a wife in Driftveil, but she had divorced him or otherwise preferred to live in Nimbasa
it makes more sense to me that a Unova game would take place is the past rather than the future. The fact that Lian was in Arceus and then Ingo drops out of nowhere is too much foreshadowing and hype to see what happens next for these two characters: More specifically why does Lian eventually move to Unova and will Ingo ever remember his home or his brother. Theyre both in the Pearl Clan so I can very much see them traveling together. This way the Unovan Legends game can show slightly older characters from the first one moving to Unova.
15:36 To add to your point here, it also stands out to me that Kitakami being a traditional Japanese setting with lots of Johto references is all about folklore from the past and history, and then the Blueberry Academy being this futuristic setting all with the latest technology and a literal preservation dome thing with all the Unova references. It's a literal past vs future setting across the DLCs.
I never thought of that before but that's actually awesome
Even with a time skip Whitney and Clay are like 30 YEARS APART! THAT'S JUST CRAZY 😅
I agree regarding Lacey's mom, it doesn't seem to be Elesa in any way other than אhe Nimbasa City connection. As for what's coming next, both Johto and Unova seem legit at the same level, so I can't put my finger on which one is next.
The airship in the anime is even named after Asagi/Olivine town
Lacey and Elesa have bangs and her earrings are the same shape as Elesa's headphones so that earring design could be a combo between both parents. Lacey's hair could be dyed like Elesa's too so the pink hair might not be genetic
Just to add, I think Lacey's mom is someone we don't know yet, if it was Elesa I think they would've just said it. I just don't think there's a better existing character that could be her mother besides Elesa
I gotta admit, while some small similarities do exist, they don't feel substantial enough for the Elesa connection, especially the dyed hair part.
@@GoinGreninja I just feel like compared to N’s sister who is basically unknown, and Whitney who was a kid in BW2 and is from a completely different region, the adult woman from the same city Lacey is from makes a lot more sense lol. I think it’s a new character
@@NiyiDaNinjaHonestly, while I agree that both of the options he chose are poor in terms of the truth, I don't think however that Lacey's mother is even anyone we've seen yet, just like how we don't know say, Perrin's parents. She could be some girl from Nimbasa City for all we know, of whatever profession you can ever imagine. Which is to say, I don't think we'll ever get a proper answer, especially by forcing in character interactions that'll never happen. Clay and Elesa have nothing in common for example, and her appearance like her facial structure and such don't follow her at all. So it's best to bet on the random.
There is a possibility to it, but I don't feel it really matches up, given Lacey's brooches more evoke a mining brooch/the gemstones than headphones. The hair colour is debatable, Lacey's is darker than Clay but not close to Elesa's natural blonde, and she has yellowish eyes as opposed to Clay's darker brown or Elesa's blue.
Sincerely I do doubt Elesa could be the mother. There are particular facets to the designs and references that doesn't really align. Lacey has no astute reference to Elesa's electrical/technological focus, since her major aspects (gemstones, pink hair) are better served for the mining/fairy connnections.
Not to mention it would just be really odd from a standpoint of narrative progression. Clay and Elesa have never had any meaningful interaction across mainline/supplementary materials in over a decade. Sure, time skip could make anything possible, but it'd stand out as creatively dissonant to slap two unreactive characters together over a kid. And even time skip might be detrimental depending on far along SV really is; we know Lacey is older than Kieran (14), putting her around 15-17. If she were anywhere before or around the events of BW/BW2, Elesa couldn't be the mother by virture of her acknowledging she's not a parent.
It's possible, Gamefreak can do what they want. But I really don't think Elesa could be the mother.
I really hope we get unova and johto next year
Are we ever going to figure out that missing section of the map on Paldea, you know a place that looked like it had DLC vibes.
Or maybe there's something already about it, that I don't know.
That place is just there to imply that Paldea isn't an island. That's it, there's not gonna be any DLC about it.
I honestly hope they don't release anything next year, so they take more time to develop whatever is next. But hey, unova would be ok by me
By next year, do you mean 2025? Because 2024 is very likely to have a new game dropping, by the looks of the schedule. But 2025 is completely uncharted territory and there could be some incentive to stop there too, so that The Pokémon Company can celebrate their 30th anniversary.
@@GoinGreninja nah, I mean 2024. But I know it's unlikely. Tbh, I would want them to just develop in peace for 2024 AND 2025, but we all know that's never gonna happen
@@angelica6539 Yeah, true that.
My Prediction:
2024: Unova or Johto game
2025: Gen 10
2026: For the 30th anniversary game, they make us go back to Kanto
For Lacy's mom it has to be someone who finds some pokemon that are cute
I think Lacey buys her jacket from Tulip's brand
For Lacy her mom could be the Nurse from Paldea. I mean she does have pink hair and given they both have crystal accessories and clay does as well. That was left out. BBA( Unova) and Paldea are like a halfway meet up so could be possible as well ever know with Pokémon.
I don't think Lacey's mom matters. She wasn't brought up because it doesn't matter.
I don't even see Elesa fucking with an old man like Clay. Unless he is an owner of a modelling agency or owns Unova's version of Vogue then it is possible.
You can't really go off of hair color, because it could be a recessive trait (Look at Lian's hair). We don't always know who both parents are.
even if lacey's hair is natural and not dyed there is another group of people with pink hair you've forgotten... all of the nurse joy's
Lacey's mom was a bartender that Clay met on his travels. No deep lore, sometimes people just meet and make babies.
One of the main parts of this theory that you didn’t bring up was that both Lacey and Elisa’s whole thing is that they are all about cute Pokémon that is there whole theme that they both clearly share and Lacey died her hair pink so she probably does look more like her dad
I hope whatever comes next, it includes the last 7 pokemon who currently don't have a game to call home, the 3 elemental monkeys and their evolutions, and Furfrou.
I feel like Lacey doesn't reference Elesa enough for it to be true. Like dispite being a fairy type trainer so also uses an Excadrill because EVERYONE knew what that would mean, she doesn't have any of Elesa's colours nor does she share a prominent electric type pokemon.
There's nothing wrong with her Mother just being some "regular" woman.
Feel like Lacey's mom may be Dr. Fennel. Reason being is that the outfit Lacey wears looks similar to a lab coat and Dr. Fennel's research with dreams involved munna and musharna with munna being a pink pokemon. Don't really recall any time Dr. Fennel and Clay have met up so there's also that. Another thing just realized is that Lacey talks about taking naps with her pokemon which goes a bit more with the dream research.
A sudden thought came to my mind when i was thinking about what game we would get next. Then i thought that we might get Scarlet and violet enhanced versions.I know its wild but i realised whenever we guesssed a new game we got enhanced version of previous games 2 times in gen 5 and gen 7.
Dlc has replaced enhanced
Sword and shield DLC had upgraded paint to the bikes called Sparkling White and Glistening Black. Those are probably the titles
I’m pretty sure that Lacey’s mother is Dr.Fennel, since her proportion fits perfectly for each other
tbh, I kinda disagree with the idea of Anthea or Whitney as the potential mother, they have never been seen working alongside Clay at all
Clay and Elesa technically had been working together once in the first BW event, Elesa makes more sense to me rather than those 2
I like this idea
It's quite possible that Lacey's mom is no one we know in the pokemon universe. I see people make claim that because Lacey's eyebrows and hair color don't match that she is implied to be dying her hair, which would make her related to Elisa.... but have y'all took a look at Amarys closely 😆 Her eyebrows also don't match her natural hair color. Crispin's eyebrows don't either, his are yellow/blond while his hair is red and orange (that could just be design choice for his type specialty).
So it could be just a design choice and nothing to do with relation to other characters.
What if Lacey’s mom is someone we have yet to see? I mean it wouldn’t be the first right?
When I look at Lacey's team, there are two non-fairy Pokemon. If we assume Excadrill is from her father, then maybe Galarian Slowbro should be from her mother? And there is a female, pink-haired Galarian Slowbro user: Klara.
The Whitney theory is one of the most tinfoil hat theories I’ve ever heard. Lacey actually dyed her hair( eyebrows are still brown) so I don’t think you’re close
I feel like if we get a Johto game, it will be very similar to “Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee” since it would be Johto’s second remake, just like Let’s Go was for Kanto
Why would they need to introduce the double battle concept if you have to beat the game to get there in the first place so you already had to fight Ryme and she has a double battle gym you had to know about double battles to get there so I still think Elesa is her mom
I know someone else mentioned it but im fairly convinced the nurse in paldea is related to lacey. She doesnt HAVE tp be the mom, as that seams like some runaway type stuff, but even an older sister thats off doing her own thing would be cool
She gives off the same vibes design wise as the fairy type kahuna in gen 7
If Whitney is the mom of Lacey, it would explain why she sees all pokemon as cute, since Whitney just went as a pokemon trainer since it was "hip" and, if I remember correctly, she only grabbed whatever she thought was cute for her team.
Maybe Lacey’s mom is the local nurse Joy. Lol.
Also Elesa and Skyla ftw
Yeah, I think in regards to Lacey, it's safe to say that Clays family probably just lives in Nimbasa, with especially in BW, but I'd also say in BW2, Driftveil being more so a city of workers... of which most of still probably don't reside in Driftveil. Not like Driftveil and Nimbasa are far apart after all, it's just a short road and the bridge. There's also that Clay is a businessman, and the business-hub of Unova seems to be Castelia City, so he probably also visits there a lot, so it'd make sense for him to have his residence between those two, in Nimbasa. And it also being the entertainment-hub of Unova, probably a preferrable place to raise a family for someone like him. And as for who her mother may be... probably just some "random" woman that's not further relevant to us. Not every characters parent has to be super relevant or someone we know at all.
Pretty sure she dyed her hair. Lacey's eyebrows are brown, which I'm assuming is her natural hair color and the one trait she has in common with her dad.
The real unsolved mystery is why they can't just space out their releases more to give them more time in the oven.
After BDSP I'm hesitant for any return to a previous region to be anything less than at least three quarters actually finished.
Here's the real parent-child relation that's interesting in gen 9; Mela being Flannery's daughter.
Sounds much, much more plausible than N's adoptive sister or especially Whitney to be Lacey's mother.
Lacey's Mom is a random NPC that doesnt exist in the game. Why would Whitney, a teenager be a candidate. That's absurd.
I would love a game where they don't make a new legendary but focus on one of the many mythicals they never gave much love. Jirachi, Hoopa, Celebi, etc. never got much love in the mainline games outside of event pokemon and small side quest
Nice video I just found your channel and I’m now a subscriber!
What about Caitlin? The little wings on her arms kinda give me the same vibe as caitlin's hair pieces. and they both happen to be in unova. Unlikely yes but I mean just wanted to throw it out there.
Hoops, as much as i love theories, forget the pink hair for ONE SECOND please. Youre looking for another person with brown hair. Lacey's hair is naturally brown by the showing of her eyebrows also being brown.
2024: ILCA developed Black 3 and White 3
2025: Gamefreak developed Legends Johto. Legends Arceus/USUM team
2026 (Pokemon's 30th anniversary): Generation 10. Main team at Gamefreak
To lend a little credit to your theory with Whitney, she says her Pokemon are cute but strong. Lacey says pretty much the same thing when you battle her at her elite 4 battle in the coastal biome. Yes, I know that's a stretch but maybe it's like a thing she learned from her mom, a love of cute, strong Pokemon.
Look at Whitney’s hair clips. They are the same shape and color (gemstones excluded) as Lacey’s. I wasn’t on board with your idea, but there you go.
Also, Whitney has a Miltank and Clay is a Rancher, so there you go.
Yes hoops. . .the Whitney theory IS crazy.
Lacey's mom has got it going on!
Looking at the Pink hair, the labcoat, the fair type and her disposition I think she could be a descendant of Meriam and with that be the daughter of a nurse Joy.
Why does Lacey's mon need to be someone that we know, can't she be just some woman that clay met?
What's the point of discussing Lacey's mom? Probably is just a random npc from unova not everyone has to be a major important character
While watching this was remembering could the Plusle and Minun Lacey uses be a reference to the first double battle you have when double battles were introduced, or am i barking up a wrong tree here?
I think drayton’s grandma is Drasna
It kinda makes sense imo
I think the Whitney theory has merit because both Lacey and Whitney are obsessed with the idea of "cuteness" on top of everything else you said
I just say
if it isn't going to reveal the next games villain or some actual connected timeline, it aint BIG
like Lacey's mom could be dropped and we would never notice because we still raving about it
Elesa can't be Lacey's mom because when a model gets pregnant she typically is forced to retire.
Damn
Clay is confirmed to be 40 years old and Whitney is 10 to 14 years old why would Whitney be Lacey’s mom first cause that’s really weird but also because we know the BB Leaugue elite four are all teenagers probably above 14 so and you can’t be older than your mom that makes no sense
Lacey's mom has got it goin' on...
You would think if Elessa was Lacey's mom then she would say that both of her parents were gym leaders rather than specifying her dad.
If Lacey's mom is a prominent character in the Pokemon series, I believe it could possibly be tulip. I've never seen anyone make this stand but I've always thought it. Elesa is a model and so is tulip. From what I remember clay and elesa were good friends in b2w2 and had some friendly banter during the story, so there's a chance that he could have went to some sort of modeling event to cheer her on and happened to meet tulip there. Considering that tulip is a model and a gym leader it would make some sense as to why there could be some similarities and Lacey never mentions any details about her mom.
I have been waiting for your video about the mysteries and unsolved problems of this dlc and paldea from the day the dlc came out...... I hope you find many more loopholes and mysteries ✌✌✌✌✌
I think if we are going to Unova. It will include these new blueberry academy unova trainers. Maybe even another time skip where the bb elite four are gym leaders.
Maybe we'll get both a new Johto and Unova game of some sort?
And clay could've gotten with a random character they made to be the mom.
Whoever Lacey's mom is, I bet she's got it going on
Imo the most plausible character to be Lacey’s mother is Caitlin. Physically speaking, Lacey bares decent resemblance to how Caitlin looked when she was a kid. Her jacket has butterfly motifs which are present all over Caitlin and her hair clips match up with young Caitlin’s butterfly hairclips. Lacey’s key art and all of Caitlin’s key art also notably have their arms tucked behind their backs in similar poses.
Demeanor is also much more similar between Lacey and Caitlin than any of our previous candidates.
Lacey is also explicitly tied to sleepiness. Her clothing give off this impression along the fact that she is explicitly noted to sleep using her Granbull’s tummy as a pillow, which is a super specific line/character element to add in.
Caitlin is also a Psychic specialist and Lacey is not only the only BB League member to have 2 Pokémon that don’t match her main typing, but that additional Pokémon is a Galarian Slowbro.
The hair is just a red herring tbh, and her natural hair color is brown as seen with her eyebrows.
I also think that it’s a little suspect just how many unova references there have been in the DLC. But I’m also not convinced that we are NOT getting a remake or revisit
Perhaps we get to have two games, one Legends and one sequel, for the next iteration of Pokémon, because we have been gathering tons of material to develop unsolved mysteries in past gens, and the “time travel” theme could go both ways. Unova and Kanto-Jotoh?
Not a bad idea, legends johto in march and bw3 in November.
Another reason why Lacey's mom could probably be Elisa is because they specifically chose to put an "e" in her name, when even without it it would still be pronounced the same way. Plus without the "e" her name would be an actual anagram for Clay, so I think there might be a reason for them to include that "e".
I'm posting this before watching the whole video, so I, at this point, do not know if my reason has been described in the video.
I think Lacey’s coat means we should investigate Tulip as her mother.
The hair clip Whitney has is similar to Lacey's hair clip, just noticed that. And if the Jhoto/Unova remakes are coming then that would be an interesting connection
A few of my thoughts. First are other unsolved mysteries, not just from the DLC but that the DLC didn't tie up, at least yet. The first are the paradox pokemon. Not that they're in the game, but that they were around in the books before the time machine was even made to bring them here in the first place. While I'd normally write this off as a mistake on Pokemon's part, in Violet after complete his specific quests, Arven asks how future pokemon got to the timeframe of Heath. The second is the crystal pools in Kitakami. Where did they come from? It's mentioned that the crystals came from under the earth, so if they all formed from Taropagos, does that mean his crystals have moved all the way through the planet now? Or is there something else going on. As far as your speculations on the next game, I have a possible idea. First off, I know it won't be this because Pokemon would never do anything this crazy. What if the point of Blueberry Academy was to give us a launch pad for B3W3, and instead of starting as a kid at home with his mom, we're starting as a transfer student to the academy. Perhaps with the option to play our OC from SV but starting our adventure around their area and subsequently starting with a new pokemon in the same way Nemona did when we showed up. She caught and trained all new pokemon along side us, and perhaps we'll do the same thing in the new region. As far as Johto, we could see a Let's Go Celebi game, potentially set around fixing problems caused by the paradox pokemon being in the wrong time. Maybe we can even get some Ocarina of Time shenanigans going on where we have to move between past and future to fix it.
In terms of what Paradox Pokémon are, it's very hard to say. But the best the people have come up with is the fact that Terapagos has some kind of unknown power (May or mayn't be imagination based, who even knows), which allows for an actual working time machine to exist in our reality, which the professors have taken advantage of and are trying to bring in Paradox Pokémon from said time machine, which in truth seems to connect to alternate universes, universes where creatures like them actually might've lived on or so (basically Ultra Beasts 2.0). Of course, the idea isn't completely bulletproof since the professors seems to refer to us giving them a strange white book, which indicates a time loop or so which may end up contradicting what I say above unless something like this happened before this however many times to lead to the present, which is all sorts of screwed up by time.
A long story short, the answer is intentionally left extremely confusing and open ended because The Pokémon Company wants us to experience the idea of a paradox without fully giving the answer away. It's not like everything in life ever gets explained cleanly, after all.
Can I sell you on Tulip the Alfornado Gym Leader?
- Both pink hair
- Both Fairy users
- Have the same eye color
- Lacey has the wings which resemble Tulips winged Fairy thingies
- Mom was too busy, working so dad took care of her.
{Edit: Tulip uses Psychic types but her Tera Pokémon is a Fairy}
My dudes you forget of another character that has pink hair.......nurse joy....... Maybe it was just nurse joy.
I just want to point out that Lacey dyed her hair. Her eyebrows are the same color as Clay's. It's not difficult to work out that Lacey likes cute Pokemon and fairy types, so she dyed her hair to that color. I'm willing to bet this is 100% accurate and intended.
Although i would love a legends unova along the remakes/sequel, I would like if they mix things and give us another gen to experience, not just johtho but others like kalos and alola which remakes gonna take more time. I know that dissapointment is key word about Pokemon lately but i hope that they maintain the gen 5 spirit, which was make a bold move, however it turns out.
