Congratulations on getting your daughters-tenfold for getting them away from Society Rot.
YES! You Are the Head of your Family!!! I would like to share My experience with My Dad, who divorced my Mother when I was 3, for cheating on him, plus a blossoming alcohol addiction that rattled us more years than she eventually was sober. She would easily say she Despised My father,& went to her grave loving the divorced 2nd husband, she was cheating with,& he cheated on her through Most of their years together. Bad mouthing my father only drew me closer to him,& further away from her. That night, after all of our dinners went into his face, I went into the bedroom as he was packing and crying,& it had a profound & lasting effect on me, especially since my Mother Wasn’t crying!!! My father remarried which included 2 more girls with the package,& he was The Man of the house, no Ifs, Ands,or Buts, & we were All treated Equally-none of you deal with Yours,& I’ll deal with mine Ever, & even my stepsisters came to respect & go to him with problems, rather than Their father! He Never laid a Hand on us, but we Still didn’t want to be caught screwing up!!! Many long nights at our table with Very Long Conversations, but when we had done something sooo bad, that it put Him in tears, or even Choked him up(the 70’s were My teen years!😬)We All would’ve preferred getting our butts beaten raw!!! There’s a Huge difference in Fearing your Father,& Knowing that if you do things “inappropriate”, you’ll be Hurting your Father & All he stands for!!! There’s also a Choice Fathers have, of making themselves someone who lashes out in anger & beats their child, or be one who is able to rein that anger in,& be able to talk the issue out,& punishes with “Grounding”their child,& using that time to better understand the issues. He was really tall & had a Really deep voice, which scared many a friend, but at the Same time, they wished their fathers cared enough to sit & talk about stuff, which I realized when I became a Mother & Grandmother, it was/is The Greatest Tool for parents!!! You gotta start young, for it to be your Best tool come the teenage years!!! He Also broke the mold on the Man Crying thing, even though he Thankfully Didn’t do it often, he explained he had just as many feelings as anyone else,& it’s a Stupid move for Anyone to act like stuff Doesn’t hurt them,& just bottle it up, bc it turns to poison eventually. He said it takes More of a Man to Show his feelings, than to Not show their feelings, which Did take a while to totally grasp, but Thankfully my Brother got it early!!! And he actually warned me Against men that were to afraid to show emotions & talk about them, as they were just ticking time bombs that Would explode one day with all that poison built up. He was the Greatest & Strongest Man I’ve ever known,& he touched Many lives with the huge amount of people of All ages, who showed up for his funeral!!! I hope you’ll consider the options that one man took, who raised 4 Incredible human beings, all successful in our own right, all with kids who came out right, bc We did what He did, & who miss him dearly everyday of the 26years he’s been gone.🙏

@@cynthiamgrooms8195a slight spank is okay. But telling a child what they did wrong 8s the way to go 99.9 percent of the time. I got spanked once. When i didn't come home until 11.30. I was 5😅

      NO.
A slight spank is not OK.
It doesn't teach the child anything but fear.
      And what's a "slight spank"?
To you it may be a gentle smack on a diaper, but to someone else it may mean a slap across the face.
      Physical violence does not work.
      Period.

We just learned from a young age not to let other people see our emotions. We're supposed to show strength. We can let ourselves feel and hurt when nobody is around. When I lost my Dad I never cried until days after his funeral. Our job is to be the rock, be strong, be the one the others run to. This is a damn good song.

As a veteran i personally feel that We did the Unthinkable for the Ungrateful came home and they fucking forgot about US. Thats what Dax's is speaking to and I'm currently homeless here in Miami aint nobody offering to help me up fight my way back from my lost battles with my mental health and drugs its just me out here on these streets😊

Veterans should be the first people our government should be helping! There is NO excuse! I'm female and I was homeless for quite awhile. People who knew me would walk right past me all the time and look the other way. I pray for you sir! Thank you for your service! People nowadays are very self centered, but there are still many of us who care.

And that's the truth. We gotta push everything aside and start climbing out on our own or else we are going to stay where we are...

I felt this song. It puts to words all the feelings, emotions, struggles, triumphs, everything about being a man. Not to take away anything from women because they have their own struggles that I would never be able to understand or overcome, but as a man this life can be hard and rewarding at the same time. Thank you for the reaction and thanks to Dax for shedding some light

Great reaction dude. I have a 3 month old and feel a lot of what you are saying in this one.
I think you have hit the nail on the head with this one that most other reactions have missed....
It's to provide in many ways. Financial for sure but to be a rock and an anchor for the family and to do this means that sometimes, you have to bottle it up, man up, suck it up (however you want to spin it). That said, it's wise to talk things through and with other like-minded men is key.
    Subbed and liked, thanks dude.

But, this is why I love being raised as a man. It's tough. I'm so grateful that my father dealt with such an awful childhood, and was giving nothing, but always told me how to be a man. He told me to love God, and remember that our responsibility is to serve. Serve our wives, serve our kids, serve our work, serve our neighbors, and serve our God.
And now, I have my 5th child on the way, single home income because my wife homeschools our kids (she's amazing).
And over time, I now realize that no matter what I do, my prude in life is simply being a man who provides for my family. All the rest is just filler.
I used to hate it. Now I'm so grateful I am a man, and not a poser who takes the easy way in life. Christ shows it. The Saints showed it. Nothing is worth anything without sacrifice for another. And we get it more than most.

    I appreciate your reaction.
Men lucky enough to have friends open up to their boys where they can be safe and supported. 99% of the time if a man is emotional to his woman, he loses respect, attractiveness, and it is used against him whenever there is an argument of she is having a bad day. She also typically disparages him to all of her girlfriends as well.
Men typically are not taught to not express emotion, we learn by experience. Sadly, a lot of that experience is trauma inflicted by women we trusted with out vulnerability.

i keep on sharing this idea ...
this song being open verse should become the longest song ever written with the most contributing artists
and i think if we crown our king this is where Elvis's should be passed because he demonstrates the example of a true and fair leader each of his subjects gets to lead through the openness of his example..
and it comes to us at a time when we have the least support and have to join together and rise up to bring a change to a world that must pull together or were lost .. and we are at the biggest disadvantage we've ever had .. but this is the time and that's what we have to do.. so we will. what makes this song special it's not just speaking on one element.. relationships, addiction, social pressure, emotional obligation, and the desire to persevere.

Being a man, at least in the way I understand it and how I try to model myself, is a very lonely thing and it’s not terribly forgiving. I can’t feel pain, nothing is too hard, there’s no such thing as quit, if someone needs help it’s me, put the world on your shoulders and don’t complain or for a second show weakness.
However, that’s the beauty of a wife, a loving family, and close friends. A man alone will crumble because that’s too much pressure to hold by yourself. Everyone, even men, need someone to at least listen and at times help them along. The strongest man can’t do anything with a broken back and spirit.

I am going to try to get through this. I am 47 years old I was born and raised in Alabama and I will probably die here. I'm okay with it but what I want to point out is when I was 17 years old I lived on a farm that had a mechanic shop and whatever you know it was some country shitt. But I remember one day I kind of freaked out because everyone that came in chose me to tell ship to not like I'm trying to hurt your feelings s*** but I'm trying to feel better about my feelings shitt look into me as a young man for advice and someone close to me pointed out that the reason these people we're putting all of this on my shoulders for me to carry was because I could I can and I will. Songs like this help me understand why I had to carry that for them and it makes me happy that I was capable of doing that and no I am not patting myself on the back I have made my mistakes I am who I am but it doesn't mean I don't carry what I carry to all of you out there carrying s*** that's not yours I love you and if you can find a way to put it on me I'll take it from you cuz I know how hard it is to carry it but if you're strong enough keep going brother I love you goodbye
