.... and I'm suddenly 5 years old again, listening to these records with my Dad (from Houma, LA). Reminds me so much of our family reunions, when my grand-oncle Julien spoke the dialect and a few people still had that charming accent.
Priceless. I found an l.p. from 1962 at a local thrift store several years ago that still had the clear plastic wrapping on it. It's put away for safe keeping. I paid $1.50 for it.
Such an effect this man and his humor and ability to tell a story had on me when I was young and first saw him on PBS (cooking). Quick-wit, brilliant personality & such flawless delivery...the man was a legend (as well as a culinary innovator to those of us without any prior Cajun food-knowledge...) Bless his soul & all his family...✨🤙🏼👍🏼
If you swear he's speaking French half the time, well, congratulations, you wouldn't be lyin' under oath---Louisiana was a French colony, and many locals [Creoles and Cajuns especially ] still have and use a great many French expressions and slang words to this very day.
I remember when I was young I heard a story from him about a guy going to a beauty parlor and had this beautiful girl cut his hair and was asked if he wanted his cuticles pushed back the guys last name was Cormier. I cant find it anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I guarantee. LOL
people just laugh when nothing is funny. whats so funny about being in a graveyard which happens to have a fresh dug grave? they just laugh just to hear their heads rattle, i guess, because even though i have listened to justin's so-called humor, its just silly stuff, really. it sure isn't funny.
He is the reason I love to cook today ,I sure wish I could find his cooking shows on DVD.
Always loved Justin Wilson, very funny man

I swear he's speaking french half the time, and then making puns in english about it, but I wouldn't know enough french to catch them xD
