OKAY THIS TOOK TWO MONTHS, A FEW THINGS I WANNA CLEAR UP
for majority of the animatic, skeppy's holding and playing the violin wrong - that wasn't intentional, i just didn't research how to draw violins (sorry to all the violin players watching this). but hey, let's pretend it was intentional and say that skeppy would totally play the violin wrong just to piss everyone off
a few months before this i posted another egg lore animatic called “lovely”. i’m still not all too happy with that one - too angsty, too long, not paced well - so consider this a redo.
WHY ARE THERE NO SKEPPY LORE ANIMATICS HE ONLY SHOWS UP IN BBH ONES THIS IS A TRAVESTY
i recorded the audio off my radio which is why it sounds like a toaster - might fix it later if im feeling a little less lazy
i know skeppy doesn’t actually play the violin. this is a headcanon that i thought fit well with this song.

I’m in love with characters having strange talents/skill no one expects them to have. Tommy is a gymnast and a gardener, Ranboo can dance, and Tubbo is one of the few who can actually cook and bake without burning food. So I’m adding “Skeppy can play violin” to the list
Skeppy and Bad’s story is so sad.. and I don’t even know which one to feel bad for, it’s like they kept switching sides and when they were finally on the same one they were just even more seperated

@@GorillaTagFanVRso in the Dream SMP this weird new red egg appeared out of nowhere, creating red vines and hypnotizing anyone who would spend too much time with the egg. BBH and some others whilst trying to remove the egg spent too much time with it and got lost in the egg’s trance. Skeptics tried reasoning with them, but BBH’s mind was made. So, to see what the group loved so much of the egg, Skeppy blocked himself into the egg with obsidian to spend some time with it. He ended up falling for the trance, and when BBH dug him out he had already changed. BBH finally saw that he was being hypnotized, and realized what Skeppy had warned him of was true. But it was too late for Skeppy. They had a huge argument, but during it, BBH kept hitting Skeppy. He got really close to a pool of lava, and BBH hit Skeppy again he fell in and lost a canon life.

i really liked this part at 2:18 because yeah their characters do have it worse technically, but some characters like foolish, purpled, jack, niki, and ofc skeppy (and more) have also been through some crazy stuff in the lore but its all overlooked

yea, that's one of the best things about this song. The beat timing, where most of the frames change on the beat, is so satisfying. One of the only times it's not on time is when it shows the Egg's vines growing, which is a super cool detail

This is one of my favorite dream smp animatics. Not just cause it focuses on our underrated king skeppy, but because of how its paced and portrays the story of skeppy of wanting to make something with his best friend even if it isn’t as grand as L’Manberg and loving the simplicity of it all until it crumbles. It’s so fun and gives so much character to someone who originally didn’t have much before the egg lore and I love it so much RAHHHH

I’ve watched this so many times I love it so much, Skeppy really is underrated when it comes to the lore and this video made me realize how good it is. I especially love the parts where Skeppy’s eyes widen in confusion when Bad first gets taken by the egg, and the part where Skeppy builds the walls up with the beat. This . . . this is amazing!!! I love how you match up with the beats of the song. The transitions are really cool and clean. One of my favorite moments from this is 2:18. Where you see frames of other characters' difficult situations, and you did such a awesome job, portraying those in a single frame. The last moment of him falling, to the end of the song, just beautiful. You just did such a wonderful job on this animatic!
I like how at 1:35 Skeppy makes the statue of Bad shorter as a reference to Bad being shorter than Skeppy or in this case around Skeepy’s height

so i found this animatic two days ago and i can't stop watching it?? like, gods, this is perfect. this is so sad and and absolutely gorgeous and makes me feel a Great Number of Emotions.
and the feeling of just, melancholy, is so amazing? at 1:45, even when skeppy's eyes are closed, there's something about his facial expression that perfectly conveys wistfulness. like it's so obvious he's longing after something, even if there were no statue. and at 1:52, his expressions shifts to something so clearly upset and sad in an angry way.
the "somewhere in the universe / somewhere someone's got it worse" part hit me right in the FEELS. the quick shots of the other characters and THEIR struggles and trauma and then just, skeppy sacrificing himself?? it's just so self deprecating and sad. and the shoulder scrunch or whatever at 2:25, as the song goes "wish i didn't feel the hurt" -- that's fantastic. this is an animatic but you can just very clearly see skeppy's thought process bc of the art matched up with the lyrics.
in conclusion this animatic is beautiful and emotional and so desperately sad and i, someone with next to no knowledge of canon, really wanna cry after watching it.
edit: forgot to add this before but also??? the walls of obsidian or whatever they're called slowing getting higher in time to the beat?? and how their movements speed up at the end, also matching the music, and it conveys how frantic the mood feels really well?? perfection. the actual violin is so freaking great too!!! pls i stg i love this SO MUCH

This animatic is based off of the Dream SMP, a Minecraft server Dream and his friends made a couple years ago. Skeppy is the small guy and badboyhalo is his friend. In the dream SMP they basically roleplayed and they made their own lore. This is called the egg lore and if you search up egg lore dsmp you’ll find stuff about it. I don’t have time to explain the entirety of the DSMP but it’s a really cool storyline and I recommend watching it on EvanMCgamings channel because he summarized the whole of the Dsmp including the eggpire (what this is based off of) in these movie like videos.

It's been 11 days since I found this animatic and I keep on coming back, there's something enchanting about it. I hadn't heard the song before this as well and the two are forever linked in my head now. I truly love this animatic and it's so clear there's been put a lot of effort into it!! Especially the ending is so amazing and how everything escalates exactly on the beat is so amazing and the flashback is so heartbreaking

i remember finding it in my recommended ages ago, and it became an *immensely* crucial part of my art journey. i proceeded listened to the song on repeat for like 50 hours straight and watched this video dozens of times, it was great.

This is so amazing, the expressions are amazing and so emotional, the character designs are gorgeous, the song choice is perfect, the concept is so headcanonable, and the moment at 1:33 where he shrinks the statue of bad down to make it shorter is so adorable. Holy %#$& every time I watch this it looks even better than before
I literally got to the second frame and flipping fell in love with your designs, style, and amazing expressions! Normally I take screenshots of art that I like to use as references to help me learn from other people's art so I can get better at art myself by observing what I think people do well but I think I may have ended up screenshoting just about every frame of this animation haha I think to save space on my phone I'll just have to soave this to a very special TH-cam playlist hahaha
commenting to say that ive seen this animatic about five times now, and every time i watch it i am filled with SO many emotions. you did such a wonderful job at capturing the characters and their feelings in this beautiful work of art. i feel so much heartbreak, nostalgia, and longing while watching this. it’s just so fantastic. the frames are so smooth, their faces are wonderfully expressive, the song choice was spot on, and the scenes you added were fantastic! i love this more than words can describe.
I like this animation in particular because it actually it’s drawn very good and isn’t overdoing it and it fits with story well, you can feel all the emotions of every character and they aren’t blank all the time

And the small little details are just so interesting! I love how you made the muffins corrupt, Skeppy doing the same pose in the lyrics "I'll blow up in to smithereens", Bad's cloak turning white, this is an amazing headcannon. This is honestly beautiful!

This popped up on my recommended I watched and immediately fell in love with it. it's so sad and goes amazingly well with the music. I like how when the music has a faster pace the animation gets more dramatic. You did amazing.

I have rewatched this sooo many times. I love how you interpret scenes and it was so adorable when Skeppy made a Bad statue using his diamond powers (and proceeded to make Bad a little shorter XD). The facial expressions are just so on point and impactful, and the cinematography is just * muah * * chefs kiss *

But, when Bad got infected he started playing fr to his statue, cause that was kinda how skep coped with losing his best friend
By playing his violin to something that resembled/reminded him of Bad
