Buen trabajo Gabo. Probablemente uno de sus riffs más pesados. En esta canción en concreto me llama la atención, sobre todo, cómo la sección rítmica se las arregla para oirse tanto y ser tan protagonista en una canción con riffs tan voluminosos. MISA y Akane están estelares durante toda la canción y la mezcla me resulta perfecta. ¡Gracias!

However before you do that, relisten to the last 10 second of Shambles, THEN listen to Unfair Game. Then if you really want to see just how truly talented these Ladies are, check out their performances of "Don't You Tell ME" and "Dice-Hate?" from their performance at Lollapalooza. Those three songs will be a treat for your ears as well as your eyes. And Unfair Game will be a special treat for your ears, as there is no official video, only an audio only track.

Siempre aprecio un buen análisis y no suele haber muchos en español, asi que muchas gracias 💜 En cuanto a recomendaciones, hay tantas para elegir 😅 pero creo que disfrutarías de YOLO. Esa cancion es bastante especial porque fue el primer single que sacaron cuando empezaron a conponer sus propias canciones y deja claro el potencial de la banda y de su estilo.

Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid.
So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Gabo!

Bandmaid are good friends with the Warning and were a big inspiration for them. They finally met in person last year. They encouraged them to have faith in themselves and their vision and not be afraid to be creative with the genre.
There is a video of them meeting finally in a festival in Califórnia and they are obviously so excited to meet their "big sisters". Miku promised they will do a collaboration in Mexico or Japan or both but of course they have both been super successful riding their success.
If you want a good performance to try go for "Bandmaid Lopalooza Dice Hate?" a double with an amazing MISA/Kanami/Akane battle in the second.

El tema es que es fácil olvidarse de lo que es realmente el pop y por eso considerar esto como "pop" por tener elementos musicales del mismo(se pueden tener elementos musicales del pop en una obra musical sin ser pop). En el pop en todo el mundo(incluyo muchas músicas populares en esa línea) la idea central es subordinar absolutamente lo que hacen los músicos a lo que haga el/la cantante. Los músicos excepto el cantante son de desechar, o se les paga por acompañar y punto. No solo lo que llamamos "pop" tiene esa línea de actuación, por supuesto, además de la concebida línea armónica de acordes suspendidos, pero eso es secundario a como funciona el negocio actualmente. Band Maid no hace eso, cada instrumento hace su papel(y es irremplazable, además) y la voz es un instrumento más(actualmente un maravilloso instrumento, ya que Saiki está en su mejor momento y va para más). Eso es un auténtico desafío a la industria y por eso amo esta banda(y excepto buen jazz y algunas cosas de música clásica, paso de todo lo demás).

que tremenda banda, te recomiendo la canción YOLO de ellas que, según yo, cada parte podría ser una canción separada y no deberían funcionar juntas pero lo hacen (todo según mi ignorancia en teoría musical)

Tremenda banda, en Japón el rock es bastante interesante y diferente a lo que uno suele escuchar a diario. Podrías analizar a Yorushika que son más tranquilos pero musicalmente creativos y de vez en cuando suenan potentes sin perder su estilo, solo espero que no moleste el copyright. Buen trabajo Gabo.
Sería genial un análisis de Yorushika tiene muchos hits pero sus canciones menos conocidas son las que más me gustan podría ser Burglar o la recién salida Miyakoochi

Great analysis. Do you think the rock-incorporating-pop themes are mainly informed by the bass, drums and lead-guitar/composer Maids having started with classical piano as children?...as I see classical as being the common ground and ancestor of most rock and pop music that I enjoy. Kanami uses piano for the writing process, which also includes the vocal melody, before recording with guitar. I love the fact that they are their own genre...'Maid Rock'.
What you say is very interesting! The piano has the advantage of being able to function as a "small orchestra", so it is sometimes easier to think about composing a song. Thank you so much! 🙏🌿

You pause the video, and then when you rejoin the video, several seconds have gone by. A lot of things were missed, like MISA's bass leading into the final chorus. Is this editing on purpose? The song is short enough as it is.
Not every single note of a song is worth analysing. He chooses what he wants to comment on. I like this kind of editing and analysis.
I mean, the MV is a great way to listen to it in its entirety if you feel like it's what you want.
He watches the whole thing but only leaves the parts where he's got a comment. This way if editing it's probably to avoid possible copyright issues.

Hola Gabo me encanta como desglosas cada canción ! Que habilidad precisa ! Sobre la canción, sin comentario no quiero ofender a nadie pero que fea canción para tremendas musicos! Carecen de cantante, parecen amateurs con éste lanzamiento ! Yo te pediría una tremenda reacción de Nemophila de las canciones : Back into the Will " y Zen "

no puedes comparar la voz Melódica de Saiki con los guturales de Mayu, ambas con estilos distintos, lo que es a mi me aburre un poco Nemophila, no son malas, pero no están inventando nada nuevo, puedes escuchar muchas bandas parecidas, me quedo con Band-Maid ya que le dieron frescura a su música y siempre están en una búsqueda musical he innovando, con respecto a la canción creo que esta bien, tienen mejores pero tampoco es lo peor que han sacado, a mi me gusto mucho, en cuanto a Saiki esta muy bien, ademas en vivo esta cantando mejor que nunca, ambas vocalistas no tienen comparación

Es cierto Saiki no tiene esa voz "poderosa" o grave como otras cantantes pero eso la hace increíble porque su voz es hermosa más allá de simples guturales

Mayu puede cantar cualquier género ,rock, pop, metal, thrash , !hasta villancicos navideños y si quieres también podría hacer un cover de Band Maid e imitar a Saiki! Y sería un gol de media cancha!
Será también por que soy thrash metal que simpatizo con Mayu ! Bueno bandas hay para todos los gustos! Preguntemos a Gabo que es la voz autorizada.
