I've though about getting equipment to produce but it seems really complicated and expensive for what im trying to do. This is perfect to play with till youre ready to invest producing. Right now, I just wanna jam. Super cool features packed in one controller!

QUESTION:How do you apply time correct to the samples you are using?I mean when you use a clap or other one beat sample and you want it to Loop synced to the current track playing...but not hit on ever 1/1 beat...but hit every 1/4 or 1/8 beat.As an example you can watch Maceo Plex Boiler Room Set in Berlin. He uses a clap on some effect pad quite often as a means to buid up before the next drop. I was only able to get the Loop to work on 1/1 beat and did not find any easy solution...now seeing this Video im thinking could a really well played sequence work? Thank you for any answer in advance!

I was wondering since unforfunetly the ddj 1000 doesn't have the record buttons like on the ddj RB and ddj RR. So I was wondering if I can use MIDI assigning onto my Akai MPK 249 or the XP2 to use their buttons and knobs to control the Rekordbox sequencer?
is there a way to add a vocal phrase from a pack into sampler that is not in the same bpm and key and have the sampler adjust it to match the bpm and key?

Say you have a deck that doesn’t have a sample function *cough* Denon user *cough* Could a work around be just loading a bunch of samples on a track in a daw (making sure they all have a universal tempo and pitch to be manipulated accurately), then just setting corresponding hot cues or loops to each sample on that track? Would that theoretically work the same? You could have say deck four dedicated to having a “sample bank” track always loaded for quick access.

Check DDJ-1000 related videos on crossfader, they uploaded one where Jamie explains how to set it up on this controller. You have to reassign some of the buttons you're not using. I did as suggested in vid, I've reassigned sync buttons (deck 1 sync - start / deck 2 sync - stop), because I'm not using them really.

If you have correctly BPM in Acapella - no problem.
I like when a little snare bleeds through because the snare hits on beats 2 and 4 usually 😂

Maybe check out splice. That’s a great service for downloading sample packs. Or loopmasters.

We've re mapped our DDJ 1000 sync buttons to activate the record and play buttons for the sequencer as there aren't dedicated buttons for it already.

The SR2 is just a Serato DJ controller. Unfortunately it doesn't plug and play with Rekordbox.
